Description

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Flachstrickmaschine mit mindestens einer auf der Bedienungsseite den Zugriff zum Schlitten und den Nadelbetten verwehrenden vertikalen Schutzwandung. Beweglich angeordnete Schutzabdeckungen an Flachstrickmaschinen sind nur als Abdeckhauben für den Maschinenschlitten bekannt (DE-PS 25 45 558,25 45 560). Die gestellte Aufgabe wird bei einer Flachstrickmaschine der eingangs genannten Art erfindungsgemäss dadurch gelöst, dass die Schutzwandung am Maschinengestell angelenkt und aus der Schutzstellung in eine Freigabestellung verschwenkbar ist, und dass die Schutzwandung in ihrer Schutzstellung mindestens einen in einen Steuerkreis des Maschinenantriebs gelegten Schutzschalter beeinflusst. Vorzugsweise kann dabei die Schutzwandung an beiden Enden über Parallelogrammführungen am Maschinengestell angelenkt und aus der Schutzstellung in eine Freigabestellung absenkbar sein. Die Höhe der Schutzwandung und ihre Anlenkung lassen sich so bemessen, dass in der Schutzstellung der untere Rand der Schutzwandung oberhalb der üblichen Ausrückstange ist, während in der Freigabestellung die Schutzwandung soweit abgesenkt ist, dass der obere Rand der Schutzwandung unterhalb dieser Ausrückstange verläuft. Dies bedeutet, dass bei geschlossener Schutzwandung jederzeit die Ausrückstange betätigt werden kann und die unterhalb des Nadelbettes oder der Nadelbetten angeordnete Warenabzugsvorrichtung zugänglich bleibt. Anderseits ist bei abgesenkter Schutzwandung nicht nur die freie Zugänglichkeit des Schlittens und des Nadelbettes gewährleistet, sondern die Bedienungsperson kann auch über den oberen Rand der abgesenkten Schutzwandung hinweg Handhabungen auf der Unterseite des Nadelbettes oder der Nadelbetten vornehmen. In der Schutzstellung der Schutzwandung ist der Bedienungsperson dagegen auch der Zugriff auf die Unterseite des Nadelbettes praktisch verwehrt. Vorteilhafterweise ist die Schutzwandung mittels mindestens einer an mindestens einer der Parallelogrammführungen angreifenden Gewichtsausgleichsfeder sowohl in ihrer Schutzstellung als auch in ihrer Freigabestellung lagestabilisiert und leicht verstellbar. Durch diese Gewichtsausgleichseinrichtung lassen sich auch relativ lange Schutzwandungen mit entsprechend grösserem Gewicht anbringen, ohne dass ihre Bedienung erschwert ist oder die Gefahr eines freien Abfallens in ihre Freigabestellung besteht. Fig 1 zeigt die zur Frontabdeckung verwendete vertikale Schutzwandung 11 in ihrer Schutzstellung. Sie erstreckt sich über die ganze Länge des Nadelbettes der Flachstrickmaschine 10 und weist zwei grosse Fenster 12 aus Sicherheitsglas oder durchsichtigem Kunststoffmaterial auf, die eine Überwachung des Strickorganes bei abgedeckter Bedienungsseite erlauben. An ihren beiden Enden ist die Schutzwandung 11 jeweils über Parallelogrammlenker 16 an den Füssen 21 der Flachstrickmaschine 10 angelenkt.
