3. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the cooling means (18) comprise a circuit traversed by a cold fluid.
4. Device according to claim 3, characterized in that the fluid is cold water.
5. Device according to claim 4, characterized in that the circuit comprises a coil.
6. Device according to claim 4, wherein the sensor is composed of a series of tubes (16), characterized in that the circuit (18) comprises a copper pipe housed inside one or more tubes (16).
7. Device according to claim 4, characterized in that the cooling means comprise a thermostatic valve (20).
8. Device according to claim 3, characterized in that the circuits traversed by the heating water and by the cold fluid are independent.
The present invention relates to a device for producing hot water from the heat given off in a hearth fireplace.
Such devices are known which comprise a circuit traversed by water, a part of this circuit being intended to be placed in the hearth of a chimney so as to capture heat. The heat sensors used for this purpose generally consist of a set of tubes connected in series or in parallel.
Devices of this kind can be integrated into central heating installations, hot water distribution networks, etc.
Unfortunately the security of these installations often leaves something to be desired. In particular, it often happens that the installation is pressurized because the heat captured in the hearth is excessive. An uncontrolled increase in the temperature of the sensor can lead to serious accidents such as leaking boiling water, steam or even explosions. The use of expansion vessels or valves only very slightly reduces the risk of accidents of this kind in such installations.
The present invention is a device of the aforementioned type which radically eliminates the risks of accidents resulting from an uncontrolled increase in the temperature of the hot water. It guarantees absolute security in the installations in which the device is integrated.
This device, which comprises a heat sensor intended to be placed in the hearth, is characterized in that it comprises cooling means with circulation of fluid incorporated in the sensor.
The single figure of the attached drawing shows, schematically and by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention integrated into a central heating installation. This installation comprises a heating circuit 10 essentially composed of a heat sensor or recuperator 11 intended to be placed in the hearth of a living room fireplace, a heating radiator 12, a circulator 13, a a trap 14 and a safety valve 15.
The sensor 11 consists of a series of parallel tubes 16 welded and connected to two collectors 17 arranged so that the water must pass through all the tubes.
It further comprises a cooling circuit 18 intended to prevent a dangerous increase in the temperature of the water as a result of overheating, an electrical failure of the circulator, etc. This cooling circuit includes a copper coil 19 housed in the tubes 16 and supplied with cold water, a thermostatic valve 20 whose probe 21 plunges through the body of the sensor 11 in hot water and a check valve 22. This cooling circuit is open and the water running through it is discharged through a filter 23.
The operation of the device is as follows: when the temperature of the hot water leaving the sensor 11 is normal, that is to say for example of the order of 55 "C, the valve 20 is closed, the water When the temperature of the hot water exceeds a certain value adjustable by means of the thermostatic probe 21, the valve 20 opens, the cooling water starts to move and dissipates heat. which has the effect of bringing the temperature of the heating water down to an acceptable temperature.
