PATENTANSPRÜCHE
Fig. 1 die eine Hälfte einer Webelitze mit einer am Litzenschaftende angeordneten Endöse;
Fig. 2 einen Querschnitt durch die Endöse gemäss Fig. 1 nach der Linie 5-5 in grösserem Massstab;
Fig. 3 einen Querschnitt durch die Endöse gemäss der Linie 6-6 in Fig. 1;

PATENT CLAIMS
1. heald with a metallic heald shaft, at the ends of which an end eyelet made of plastic material is fastened, recesses in the end of the heald wire enclosed by the plastic material being filled with plastic material for the purpose of anchoring the end eyelet on the shaft end extending over the entire length, characterized in that a With regard to the narrower region (H) of the metallic strand shaft end (11), which extends on both sides in the axial direction of the strand with the inside contact edge (14) of the end eyelet (12), has a greater distance from the inside (15) of the end eyelet than the rest of the inside the end eyelet extending cord shank end and the end eyelet are formed to the same extent wider in the area mentioned.
2. A heddle according to claim 1, characterized in that the width of the heddle shank end (11) in said narrower region (H) is approximately half the width of the rest of the heddle shank end extending within the end loop.
3. heald according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the narrower region of the heald shaft end (11) begins at a distance from the front end thereof and extends over approximately 1/5 the length of the end loop.
The invention relates to a heald with a metallic heald shaft, at the ends of which an end eyelet made of plastic material is fastened, the recesses in the heald end enclosed by the plastic material being filled with plastic material for the purpose of anchoring the end eyelet on the heald end which extends over its entire length.
Such healds with end loops made of plastic material help to reduce the noise prevailing in machine rooms of weaving mills, which occurs when metal end loops are used by striking them against the heald support rails with each up and down movement of the heald frame. The heald with an end eyelet made of plastic material has the further advantage that it can be used to avoid the corrosion damage that occurs as a result of metal parts constantly beating against each other.
In an already proposed method for producing a heald of the type mentioned at the beginning, an end eyelet made of plastic material was injection-molded onto a metallic strand end of the wire in an injection mold. The fastening end of the strand shank, which is preferably made of flat steel, extends over the entire length of the end grommet made of plastic material to its extreme end in order to be able to fasten the end grommet, which is as flat as possible, to the strand shank end with sufficient security. The material thicknesses of the plastic material surrounding the metallic strand end are therefore extremely weak on all sides and special measures must be taken in order to be able to precisely center the shaft end in the injection mold in view of these small wall thicknesses.
If the straight flat rod of the heddle shaft end is enclosed on all sides with approximately the same wall thickness by the plastic material, then the cross section of the end loop made of plastic material enclosing the metallic part is at the level of the inner contact edge of the end loop, which is constant during the up and down movement of the heald shaft strikes against the heddle support rail, most stressed.
In order to avoid tearing from the inside out or other damage in this endangered cross-sectional area of the end eyelet mentioned above, the invention proposes a heald of the type mentioned at the outset, which is characterized according to the invention in that a cross-sectional plane which is level with the inner contact edge of the end eyelet On both sides in the strand axis direction, the narrower region of the metallic strand shaft end has a greater distance from the inside of the end loop than the rest of the strand shaft end extending within the end loop and the end loop in the area mentioned is of the same extent wider, preferably the width of the strand shaft end is in the narrower area mentioned, about half the width of the strand shank end in the remaining area within the end loop.
With this design it is achieved that the end loop made of plastic material has a sufficient material thickness in the endangered cross section to withstand the above-mentioned special stress.
An embodiment of the heald will be described below with reference to the drawings. Show it:
1 shows one half of a heald with an end loop arranged at the end of the heald shaft;
2 shows a cross section through the end eyelet according to FIG. 1 along the line 5-5 on a larger scale;
3 shows a cross section through the end eyelet along the line 6-6 in Fig. 1.
4 shows a cross section through the end eyelet according to line 7-7 in FIG. 1.
1 has a heald shaft 10 and an end eyelet 12 made of plastic material arranged on an end region 11 of this heald shaft. This end eyelet is molded onto the end region 11 of the strand shaft 10, referred to below as the strand shaft end, with the aid of a special shape. The strand end 11 extends over the entire length of the end eyelet 12, which encloses the strand end with its plastic material.
In order to be able to anchor the end loop securely to the strand shaft end, the strand shaft end has recesses in the form of two elongated holes 13 one behind the other in the strand axis direction, which are filled with the plastic material.
The end eyelet 12 rests with the inner contact edge 14 on the heddle support rail of the heald frame, not shown in the drawing, the end lug striking against the heald support rail with this inner contact edge 14 during the constant up and down movement of the heald frame. The cross-section of the end eyelet 12 which is level with this contact edge 14 is therefore exposed to the greatest stress.
In order to prevent tearing of the end eyelet from the end of the contact edge 14 to the strand end 11 at this point, a narrower region of the metallic strand shank, which extends in both directions in the axial direction of the strand with respect to the inside contact edge 14 of the end eyelet 12, has a narrower area of the metallic strand end, which is shown in FIG 1 has the length H, a greater distance from the inside 15 of the end eyelet 12 than the rest of the strand shaft end 11 which extends within the end eyelet, the end eyelet being of the same extent wider in this area H. The end eyelet 12 is therefore unchanged in the outer contours of its cross section along the line 5-5 according to FIG. 2 and the cross section along the line 6-6 in FIG. 3. It can be seen that the strand end is narrower in FIG. 2 than in FIG. 3.
In the narrower region H of the strand shaft end 11, the volume that is complementary to a not specially shaped, straight strand shaft end is therefore from
Filled in plastic material.
It can also be seen from FIGS. 1 and 3 that when the end eyelet 12 is injected onto the strand shaft end 11 using an injection mold, various centering pins belonging to the shape leave cylindrical recesses 20 in the finished end eyelet. In Fig. 1, a total of four existing in the strand axis direction behind and between the elongated holes 13 such recesses 20 can be seen, which arise on the front and the back of the end eyelet and are used for centering in the transverse direction, so that the strand shaft end 11 exactly in the middle of the plastic material is embedded in the injection mold, or so that the plastic material on the front and back has the same wall thickness.
The cross-section shown on a larger scale in FIG. 4 along the line 7-7 in FIG. 1 shows that a further cylindrical recess 21 is formed at a point where a centering pin of the injection mold extends through an elongated hole 13 in order to prevent a spraying To enable exact centering of the end eyelet in the upright direction. In front of and behind the recess 21 according to FIG. 4, the elongated hole 13 is filled with plastic material. Another such recess 21 from a centering pin can be seen in Fig. 1 at the extreme end of the strand shaft.
With the above-described formation of strand end and end eyelet, in which breakage resistance is achieved by increasing the material thickness in the endangered cross section, an increased elasticity of the heald strand is also achieved overall, since the hook-shaped part of the end eyelet, which is subjected to bending forces, due to the material accumulation at the connection point to the The end of the cord end can deflect somewhat elastically.
