Fig. 1 zwei zusammengefügte Kippeinheiten mit starren Kippachsen,
Fig. 3 eine schematische Darstellung eines erfindungsgemässen Manipulators.

The invention relates to a manipulator comprising at least one movement element which can be assembled according to the modular system and an actuating element.
Manipulators, also called robots or handling devices, can be used wherever human work is to be replaced.
From DE-OS 2 202 848 a manipulator is already known, which consists of four types of movement elements, egg ner horizontal unit, a tilting unit, a vertical column and a base plate. The parts are only conditional and can only be assembled in a certain row.
It is an object of the present invention to propose a manipulator that the consumer from individual parts in any order or arrangement and in the simplest
Can be assembled in such a way and which can be assembled from inexpensive to produce individual parts.
The object is achieved according to the invention by the characterizing features of patent claim 1. Further advantageous or inventive developments emerge from the further claims.
An advantageous embodiment of the manipulator according to the invention has connecting flanges with which the tilting units can be connected to one another. The embodiments which have a rigid tilt axis can be connected to one another in such a way that the tilt axes are each at right angles to one another. This creates a modular system that becomes more flexible the more tipping units are attached to each other. At the end of the last tilting unit, a gripper can be arranged, which then resp. Wall attachment point can perform a snake-like or an articulated wave-shaped movement. This type is particularly suitable for use in laboratories or where small loads are moved and where the acquisition costs must be acceptable. The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to two exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing.
Show it:
1 two assembled tilting units with rigid tilting axes,
Fig. 2 is an assembled tilting unit, which are connected to each other in the manner of a ball joint, and
Fig. 3 is a schematic representation of a manipulator according to the invention.
The tilting unit shown in section has an upper part 1 and a lower part 2, which are connected to one another in a tiltable manner by means of a rigid axis 3. A stepper motor 4 on part 1 drives a pinion 5, which interacts with an internal toothing in part 2. The axis 3 is expediently to the side of the longitudinal axis 11, so that the greatest possible angle of rotation can be achieved. On the opposite side of the tilt axis 3, the flanges 12 or 13 are connected by a spring 14. It is possible to replace the stepper motor 4 with a power cylinder 15 that connects the flanges 13.
Fig. 2 shows another embodiment, wherein the upper part 21 has a spherical recess and the lower part 22 has a spherical part 23. The parts 21 and 22 are connected to one another by means of three power cylinders 15 at the side of the longitudinal axis 11 on the periphery of the parts. With four power cylinders 15, the control can be made easier. The actuating element 28 is a gripper which is attached to the last tilting element.
3 shows this embodiment, where tilting units with a rigid tilting axis 3 are used, in such a way that the tilting axis of successive tilting elements can sometimes run parallel but also transversely to one another in accordance with the requirements of the consumers. A special movement element, not shown, can be provided between the gripper 28 and the last tilting element, which allows the gripper to perform translatory and a rotary movement over small areas. Other auxiliary elements, such as straight or curved spacers and angle pieces as well as fastening plates, can also be provided as desired.
Plug and screw connections can also be used instead of flange connections. The control and distance measurement can be conventional and are therefore not dealt with here. Inexpensive manufacture can be achieved especially if the parts are made of plastic.
