Fig. 1 einen Ausschnitt aus einem mit einer Hülle umgebenen Kabel, mit einer Verbindung gemäss der Erfindung;
Fig. 2 einen ähnlichen Ausschnitt wie Fig. 1, mit einer Variante der Verbindung;
Fig. 4 eine weitere Ausführungsform der vorliegenden Erfindung.

5. Connection according to claim 1, characterized in that the means which connect the body to the corrugated tube consist of an elastic shaped body (19) arranged on the circumference of the body (5), the two lateral legs (14, 15) of this molded body (19) engage in the corrugations of the casing (2), and that at one point a curable filler (16) is filled into the molded body (19) through an opening (17) in the casing (2) is to create a shear-proof connection between the sheath and the cable.
The present invention relates to a shear-resistant connection between a cable and a cable sheath in the form of a corrugated tube, consisting of a body attached to the cable and means for connecting the body to the corrugated tube.
There are primarily tension cables, namely those made of single wires or strands with cable sleeves.
The purpose of such sheaths is to protect the actual cable against corrosion and other external influences. The cable sheaths, in particular those made of corrugated pipes, usually consist of an inner metal pipe and a protective layer applied thereon, for example of bitumen. The whole can still be provided with a more or less thin outer skin made of plastic, for example polyethylene. As is known, the cables are usually arranged at a distance from the sheath. The space between the sheath and the cable is often filled with an additional protective agent, for example a protective fat mass.
It has now been shown, particularly in the case of vertically running cables, for example anchoring cables for floating platforms, that the protective cable sheath has a not inconsiderable weight. In order to largely prevent the risk of the sheath breaking, it must be kept in some form.
The most obvious thing is, of course, that the sleeve is attached to the tension cable or anchoring cable itself. The invention now relates to a particularly simple and expedient type of shear-resistant connection between a cable sheath and a cable.
It has been shown that direct connections between the cable and the sheath are not suitable for solving the problem, since there can always be shifts between the sheath and the cable. Such displacements naturally result in the connection points between the sheath and the cable being subjected to great loads and being destroyed in the process. If the connection is destroyed, the desired effect is of course nullified. A completely new solution to the problem has now been sought with the present invention.
The shear-resistant connection between a cable sheath and a cable of the type mentioned at the outset is characterized in accordance with the invention in that the diameter of the body to be fastened to the cable is smaller than the smallest inside diameter of the corrugated tube, and that locking means are provided on the outside of the body, which engage the shell.
The connection is expediently designed in such a way that the body to be fastened to the cable consists of at least two shell-shaped segments which can be clamped on the cable in a shear-resistant manner by means of screw connections.
The connection is advantageously designed such that the locking means consist of a plurality of spring-loaded locking bodies arranged on the circumference of the body, the locking bodies engaging in the corrugations of the sleeve under the spring action and remaining in this position in one direction against a stop, in the opposite direction against the Effect of the springs are pivoted inwards so that the body remains displaceable with respect to the shell.
Another possible embodiment may consist in that the locking means consist of a plurality of bodies arranged on the circumference of the body in grooves with a variable depth over the length, e.g. Balls exist which, depending on the position, engage in the corrugations of the sheath in the assigned longitudinal grooves and create a shear-resistant connection between the cable and sheath in one direction, but permit displacement in the opposite direction.
The connection can consist in that these means, which connect the body to the corrugated tube, consist of a circumference of the body, which is U-shaped in cross section and has an elastic shaped body, the two lateral legs of this shaped body engaging in the corrugations of the casing as a result of their However, elasticity with respect to the sheath can be shifted, and that a curable filler can be filled into the molded body at the desired point through an opening in the sheath in order to form a shear-resistant connection between the sheath and the cable.
In the last-mentioned embodiment, as soon as the connecting body is at the desired location, a hole has to be drilled from the outside through the cladding tube in order to introduce the hardenable filling between the two lateral sealing lips. This embodiment variant naturally has the disadvantage that once the filling has hardened, the connecting body can no longer be displaced with respect to the tube.
The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of a few exemplary embodiments. The drawing shows:
1 shows a section of a cable surrounded by a sheath, with a connection according to the invention;
FIG. 2 shows a section similar to FIG. 1, with a variant of the connection;
Fig. 3 is a plan view of a two-part connector body over the cable and
Fig. 4 shows another embodiment of the present invention.
1 of the drawing shows a tensioning or anchoring cable 1, which is surrounded by a cable sheath in the form of a corrugated tube 2. The shell consists of an inner corrugated tube made of metal 3, which is covered with a protective layer 4 of bitumen.
A two-part connecting body 5 is attached to the cable 1 (FIG. 3), the two half-shells 51, 52 of the body 5, 1 being connected to one another by means of screws 6 and simultaneously being clamped onto the cable 1 by this screw connection.
As can be seen from FIG. 3, when the connecting body 5 is clamped on, there are sufficient free passages 12 so that the space between the cable 1 and the sheath 2 can, if appropriate, be filled with a further protective compound.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, a plurality of grooves 7 are provided on the circumference of the body 5, in which locking members 8 which can be folded outwards are arranged so as to be pivotable about an axis 8. The locking elements 8 are normally pressed into the extended position by means of a spring 9, in which they engage in the corrugations of the cladding tube 2. In the fully extended position they lie against a wall of the groove and can only be folded inward in the opposite direction, against the action of the spring 9.
If, in the position shown, the sleeve 2 with the weight G presses downward when the cable is fixed, there is automatically a shear-proof connection between the sleeve and the cable 1. The weight of the sleeve is thereby via the locking member or the locking members 8 on the connecting body 5 and transferred from this to cable 1. The cable 1 can move freely downward with respect to the sheath at any time. It is also possible to pull the cover upwards.
The arrangement shown allows the cable 1 with the attached connecting bodies 5 to be inserted into a cable sheath in the direction of the arrow, the locking members 8 jumping from one corrugation to the other.
Fig. 2 of the drawing shows a view similar to Fig. 1, the solution differing only in the type of locking body.
In this embodiment, a plurality of grooves 10, 10 are also provided on the circumference of the body 5, in which balls 11, 11 'are now arranged instead of the spring-loaded locking members. With a vertical arrangement, the balls naturally have a tendency to automatically fall down. The dimensions are chosen so that the balls cannot fall down between the body and the narrowest diameter of the shell.
In the embodiment shown, the sheath or its weight is again transferred to the cable 1 via the balls 11 and the body 5 in the position shown. In the opposite direction, the sleeve can be moved at any time, since the balls II, 11 'automatically get into the upper part of the grooves 10, 10'. These grooves have a sloping bottom and are designed so that the balls can sink completely into them if necessary.
Fig. 4 of the drawing finally shows a somewhat different embodiment. Here, too, the cable, sheath and connecting body are of exactly the same design as in the previously shown embodiments. However, the actual locking body is here formed by a seal 18 made of elastic material, for example made of rubber. The seal 18 contains a U-shaped molded body 19 which is open to the outside. This molded body 19 has two resilient legs 14, 15 and a web 13 connecting them, the whole being freely displaceable inside the cable sheath. At the intended location, a self-hardening compound 16 is poured in from the outside through a hole 17 in the casing, which can build up between the two legs 14, 15 of the seal 18.
After filling the space between the legs 14, 15 of the molded body 19, the material will harden and form a shear-resistant connection between the sheath 2 and the cable 1. Of course, the weight of the sheath can also be supported without problems on the hardened filler 16, the molded body 19 and the body 5 on the cable 1. In this embodiment, however, after the filling compound 16 has hardened, it is no longer readily possible to move it.
