Description
The invention relates to a cleaning cloth with detergent depot, which can be used in particular as a household cleaning cloth, but which can also be used for cleaning windshields for motor vehicles, for office cleaning and, if appropriate, also for machine and apparatus maintenance in commercial companies.
Cleaning wipes that are provided with a detergent depot are known per se. For example, German Utility Model No. 1 884 410 describes a window cleaning cloth which consists of an absorbent fabric which is completely saturated with an emulsion of a nonionic soap, a cleaning body and a carrier. For example, the sodium salt of a fatty alcohol ether sulfate is proposed as the nonionic soap and methyl cellulose slime as the carrier. Cleaning wipes of this known type cause difficulties insofar as the water-soluble fixing agent is unable to hold the detergent substance on the wipe matrix over a long period of time if there is sufficient water. The effectiveness of the detergent depot is therefore low, which is why such wipes are often only suitable for single use.
A sponge filled with soap is known from German Offenlegungsschrift No. 2 444 374, in which the above-mentioned difficulty of having a sufficiently long depot effect is avoided by arranging a compact soap bar inside the sponge, which naturally lasts just as long in normal use as this is known from a bar of soap. However, products of this type cannot be manufactured in cloth form, so that they can be used for body cleaning purposes, but not for cleaning buildings, window cleaning and the other fields of application mentioned at the beginning.
In this state of the art, the task is to specify a cleaning cloth with a detergent depot, the depot effect of which lasts for a long time when used, and which can survive numerous use phases without premature exhaustion of the depot, even if the supply of water is abundant.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the cloth contains nonionic, weakly polar wetting agents which are bound to anion or cation exchange resins. These so-called non-ionic wetting agents, which will be discussed in more detail below, are in fact essentially non-ionogenic, but it has been shown that they nevertheless have a few weakly polar groups which are sufficient to provide the wetting agents with sufficient strength to the above-mentioned To hold anion or cation exchangers. The very fact that there are only a few weakly polar groups in these wetting agent molecules leads to the fact that the wetting agents are retained by the exchange resins, but that they are released at least in such an amount that the wetting agent can develop its desired effect , but on the other hand the levy is so low that one can actually speak of a considerable deposit effect. The wipes equipped with these agents survive at least twenty normal washing cycles and are therefore superior to the previously known cleaning wipes.
The adsorbate of wetting agent and exchange resin can be fixed in different ways in the cleaning cloth. For example, it is possible to manufacture the cloth from a nonwoven fabric that is prepared using the dry process. In this case, the powdered or bead-shaped adsorbate can be added to the nonwoven fabric during production and fixed by means of the binders required for the setting of the fibers. However, since cleaning cloths generally consist of several layers of nonwoven, it is particularly advisable to arrange the adsorbate consisting of wetting agent and exchange resin between two or more, for example, bonded, layers of nonwoven bonded together. In this way, a voluminous structure is created, in which larger amounts of adsorbate, i.e. detergent depot, can also be accommodated. If, for example, four or five layers of nonwoven are stacked on top of one another and bonded to one another, there are two or three intermediate layers that can be equipped with adsorbate, if the intention is to keep the top and bottom cover layers of the structure free of adsorbate for reasons of grip and abrasion resistance .
It has proven to be particularly advantageous if a wetting agent which is selected from the group of the alkyl aryl polyglycol ethers is incorporated into the adsorbate. Those compounds whose alkyl group contains 5-15 carbon atoms and which is located directly on the aryl group should preferably be used. The aryl group in turn is connected to the polyglycol skeleton via an ether bond.
Likewise, it has proven to be advantageous if the adsorbate contains an exchange resin which is selected from the group of the sulfonates or alkylammonium salts of polystyrene or the polystyrene copolymers. It has been shown that adsorbates from the wetting agents mentioned and the exchange resins mentioned lead to particularly advantageous results.
Die Herstellung der erfmdungsgemäss aufgebauten Reinigungstücher wird im folgenden anhand einiger Beispiele näher erläutert: The production of the cleaning wipes constructed according to the invention is explained in more detail below with the aid of a few examples:
Beispiel 1 1.1 Herstellung des Austauscherharzes Example 1 1.1 Preparation of the exchange resin
92 g of destabilized styrene and 8 g of divinylbenzene are processed in a manner known per se in an aqueous dispersion containing polyvinyl alcohol to give a bead polymer. After the polymerization reaction has ended, the product formed is separated off and dried.
20 g of the dried bead polymer are introduced into 150 ml of concentrated sulfuric acid and 0.2 g of silver sulfate is added as a catalyst. The polymer is sulfonated with constant stirring at about 100 ° C, then the solid is separated off, washed, dried and ground.

1.2 Beladung des Austauscherharzes 1.2 Loading of the exchange resin
The cation exchanger obtained according to the above instructions is dispersed in 100 ml of a 10% solution of nonylphenyl polyglycol ether and left to stand overnight. The solid is then filtered off, washed briefly with water and dried. The present product is an adsorbate made from wetting agent and exchange resin and is suitable for the production of cleaning wipes.
1.3 Herstellung des Reinigungstuches 1.3 Production of the cleaning cloth
The adsorbate obtained is sprinkled in an amount of 40 g / m2 onto an already set textile fiber fleece with a basis weight of 50 g / m2. The structure produced in this way is carefully covered with another layer of the same textile fiber fleece and all layers are connected with the aid of a latex binder or thermoplastic powder in an amount of 10 g / m 2 dry substance. The result is a cleaning cloth with a considerable depot effect.
Beispiel 2 Example 2
2.1 Preparation of the Exchange Resin 92 g of destabilized styrene and 8 g of divinylbenzene are reacted in a manner known per se in an aqueous dispersion containing polyvinyl alcohol to give a bead polymer. 20 g of this bead polymer are chloromethylated with 50 g of chlorodimethyl ether in 40 ml of tetrachlorethylene in the presence of 10 g of zinc chloride at 40-60 ° C. within two hours. The product thus obtained is separated off, washed with tetrachlorethylene and dried in vacuo.
For the amination, 20 g of the intermediate product obtained are dispersed in 50 ml of benzene and treated with gaseous trimethylamine at 30-35 ° C. for four hours. The beads are then separated, washed with benzene, dried and finally treated with 5% aqueous hydrochloric acid in order to convert the amine into the corresponding ammonium salt.
2.2. Loading the exchange resin The exchange resin obtained according to the above section is dispersed in 100 ml of a 10% solution of nonylphenyl polyglycol ether and left to stand overnight. Then it is filtered off, washed briefly with water and dried.
2.3 Production of the cleaning cloth 40 g of the product obtained are mixed with 10 g of a powdered thermoplastic binder and the mixture is applied evenly in an amount of 50 g / m2 to a textile fiber fleece of 25 g / m2 basis weight. After application, another piece of textile fiber fleece of the same size and equivalent is placed on top and the laminate is joined by careful pressing at about 100 ° C. 5 A cleaning cloth with a detergent deposit is created.
Examination of the cleaning wipes produced A strip is cut from the cleaning wipes produced according to Examples 1 and 2, which weighs about 1 g 10. This strip is shaken with 50 ml of tap water for one minute each. The resulting foam height is a measure of the amount of detergent dispensed from the depot. After measuring the foam height, the water is poured off from the samples, 50 ml of fresh tap water is added and shaken again. It can be seen that the foam height of the tested wipes remains practically unchanged over twenty shaking cycles.
Es stellen dar: Two embodiments of the proposed cleaning wipes are explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawing. They represent:
Fig. 1 einen schematischen Querschnitt durch ein doppella-giges Reinigungstuch, 1 shows a schematic cross section through a double-layer cleaning cloth,
Fig. 2 shows a schematic cross section through a three-layer cleaning cloth with a double depot.
In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the cleaning cloth consists of a lower fleece section 1 and an upper fleece section 2. Both fleece sections are in the area of the edge zones 3; 3 'interconnected, preferably embossed or sealed.
30 Between the two fleece sections 1 and 2, a layer 4 is arranged, which consists of a pearl-shaped adsorbate consisting of wetting agent and exchanger heart. The adsorbate is fixed with the help of a latex adhesive that is not recognizable in the drawing and which also connects the upper and lower fleece sections.
The embodiment shown in FIG. 2 consists of three fleece sections 5; 6 and 7. Between these there are two depot layers 8 and 9, both of which consist of adsorbate in the form of a bead of wetting agent and exchange resin 40. The adsorbate beads were mixed with powdered thermoplastic binder before application to the fleece sections and the entire layer package 5 to 9 was pressed together slightly at elevated temperature after completion. In this way, a multi-layer structure was created, the layers of which adhere firmly to one another and which can be used as a voluminous cleaning cloth with a long-lasting wetting agent depot.
