PATENTANSPRÜCHE

PATENT CLAIMS
1. Device for inserting weft threads by means of a fluid for weaving machines, in particular for pneumatic weaving machines, with a main nozzle and an organ for controlling the weft holding flow through the main nozzle, characterized in that the organ is a non-return valve (9) which is in flow immediately Located near the main nozzle (1) and upstream of which is a pressure reducing valve (10).
2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the main nozzle (1) and the check valve (9) constructively form a unit.
The invention relates to a device for inserting the weft threads by means of a fluid for weaving machines, in particular pneumatic weaving machines, with a main nozzle and an organ for controlling the weft thread holding current through the main nozzle.
As is known, in a pneumatic weaving machine for gentle and economical insertion of the weft, the main nozzle is operated alternately with two air streams, a weft transport stream of high pressure and high speed, which feeds the weft to the shed, and a weft holding current of low pressure and low speed, the keeps the weft taut during its periodic shutdown prior to being inserted into the main nozzle.
It has been proposed to generate the weft holding current by bypassing the switching valve which controls the supply of the weft transport stream through the main nozzle by a line which is provided with a throttle. Every time the switching valve is closed and the transport flow is interrupted, this air of lower pressure and lower speed flows through the main nozzle and serves as a holding current for the weft thread lying therein.
The disadvantage of the throttle is that after the switching valve is opened again for the transport of the weft thread, the connecting line between the main nozzle and the throttle is filled with air of high pressure. As soon as the switching valve closes again, this air flows out of the connecting line through the main nozzle, so that the pressure in it does not quickly drop to the desired low value, as determined by the throttle, in order to protect the weft thread.
The invention has for its object to provide a device of the type defined, wherein the filling of the connecting line and subsequent flow to the main nozzle is not possible. To solve this problem, the invention is in the characterizing part of the claim
1 provided design features for the device, wherein the feature of claim 2 is an advantageous and beneficial development.
An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is described below with reference to the drawing, which represents a diagram of the essential part of the device according to the invention.
A main nozzle 1 is connected via a line 2 to a switching valve 3, which in turn is connected via line 4 to a pressure reducing valve 5 and a main valve 6 to a compressed air network 7. A line 8, in which a check valve 9 and a pressure reducing valve 10 are located, runs parallel to the pressure reducing valve 5 and switching valve 3. The pressure reducing valve 5 reduces the network pressure to the value of the weft transport stream with which the main nozzle 1 of the weaving machine is operated when the switching valve 3 is open. The reducing valve 10 reduces the network pressure to the value of the weft holding current with which the main nozzle 1 is operated when the weft is stationary therein, i.e. while it was previously saved.
The check valve 9 is switched so that it closes when the weft transport stream is pressed in the main nozzle 1 and opens as soon as the switching valve 3 is closed. In this case, the air let through the reducing valve 10 flows through the check valve 9 to the main nozzle 1 and supplies it with the required weft holding current. The connecting line 11 between the check valve 9 and the main nozzle 1 is kept very short, so that only a very small amount of high pressure air can accumulate therein, which does not damage the weft thread when flowing over to the main nozzle. The same is achieved if the main nozzle 1 and the check valve 9 constructively form a unit.
Although the device is described here for a pneumatic weaving machine, it can of course also be used for a weaving machine that uses a different fluid for inserting the weft threads, e.g. B. a water jet loom.
