Abstract

The timepiece comprises an analog module (4) controlling hands (6 and 7) indicating the minutes and hours respectively. It also comprises a liquid-crystal electro-optical passive display cell (8) comprising an anterior plate (9) and a posterior plate (10), between which the active constituent is imprisoned. The anterior plate (9) is much larger than the posterior plate (10) and covers the analog module (4). Its part which overhangs the posterior plate (10) is drilled with a central hole (11) serving for the passage of the spindles (12 and 13) of the hands (6 and 7). This anterior plate (9) thus constitutes the actual dial of the watch which the hands move in front of and which carries an hour-circle. <IMAGE>
