Fig. 3 und 4 je eine Variante zu Fig. 2.

8. Pneumatic weaving machine according to claim 4 or 7, characterized in that a third jet outlet opening (15) is arranged in the region of the apex of the V-shaped contour.
In the case of pneumatic weaving machines, the weft insertion is, as is known, carried out by a main blowing nozzle arranged on the entry-side end of the shed, the blowing action of which is optionally supported by a number of auxiliary blowing nozzles which are distributed over the weaving width and which dip into the shed in the retracted position of the reed. In addition, a guide channel is provided for guiding the weft thread during the entry.
This guide channel can be covered by cover plates
Cover the warp threads from the outside and run from the reed to the fabric touching edge, through recesses aligned in the teeth of the reed or through one
Comb-forming special lamellae can be formed.
The first of the options listed is only of historical importance and has not found its way into practice; in the second option, a reed must be profiled
Teeth and with the third option, one with straight teeth, i.e. a normal conventional reed, can be used.
Experience has shown that the insertion speed of the weft depends strongly on the extent to which the air blown into the guide channel by the auxiliary blowing nozzles is able to escape to the outside between the slats. Since the thickness and spacing of the teeth of a reed are essentially determined by the warp density, there is very little or practically no freedom with regard to the choice of the dimension of the leakage paths in a weaving machine in which the reed simultaneously performs the function of the guide channel the blowing air or in other words the thickness and distance of the leaf teeth.
In the case of weaving machines of the type mentioned with the guide channel incorporated into the reed, the weft stop occurs through the rearmost part of the recess in the leaf teeth, as seen in the direction of the stop movement. As a result, the spreader bars cannot be placed close to the fabric stop edge, but must be arranged at a distance therefrom, as a result of which the fabric strips have a relatively strong tendency to run inwards.
Since the problems mentioned are due to the arrangement of the guide channel in the reed, several proposals have already been made to separate the guide channel from the reed and to use a guide comb formed from special channel-forming elements together with a conventional reed.
The invention relates to a pneumatic weaving machine with a plurality of jet nozzles arranged for the weft thread transport means distributed over the weaving width, with a reed formed from straight reed teeth and with a stop face arranged in front of the reed and out of or into the shed in synchronism with the reciprocating movement of the reed entering channel formation organs for forming a guide channel open on its side facing the reed for the weft thread to be inserted.
In known weaving machines of this type, the channel-forming members are mostly formed by relatively thick channel-forming lamellae, so that only little space remains for the warp threads and these are pushed together in the narrow space between the channel-forming lamellae when the channeling lamellae are immersed in the compartment and are thus heavily used.
In addition to this high stress on the warp threads, another disadvantageous feature of the known pneumatic weaving machines with a guide channel for the weft thread separate from the reed is the fact that the special guide channel causes an increase in the mass to be moved by the sley, which is not what today's high speeds of pneumatic weaving machines demand is beneficial and also increases the wear of the shop drive
The invention is intended to create a pneumatic weaving machine with a guide channel for the weft thread that is separate from the reed, in which neither the warp threads are excessively stressed by channel slats that are too thick, nor is the mass to be moved by the sley increased.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the channel-forming members are formed by the jet nozzles and in that the latter each have a jet outlet opening above and below the said guide channel.
Because the jet nozzles also take on the function of the channel formation organs, all channel formation lamellae can be omitted, which results in a significant reduction in mass. In addition, there is no additional stress on the warp threads due to the channel formation lamellae, since the jet nozzles are spaced relatively far apart and thus practically do not stress the warp threads when they enter the shed.
The invention is explained in more detail with reference to exemplary embodiments and the figures of the drawing; in the latter show:
1 shows a schematic cross section through the shed of a pneumatic loom with two positions of the sley,
Fig. 2 shows a detail of Fig. 1 in an enlarged view, and
3 and 4 each a variant of FIG. 2nd
The pneumatic loom shown in detail in FIG. 1 has, as shown, a reed 1 of conventional design with rectilinear leaf teeth 2, the ends of which are held in a lower and an upper socket strip 3 and 4, respectively. The lower mounting bar is fastened in a known manner and not shown in the figure on the sley, which is rotatably supported by a hollow shaft in the machine frame and is connected to a drive mechanism. The latter periodically moves the reed 1 between the positions shown in full and dashed lines in the figure when the weaving machine is in operation.
Warp threads 5 and 6 are drawn between the leaf teeth 2 in a conventional manner and are subjected to shed formation by braiding, not shown, of a shedding device. The weft thread 7 entered in each case is struck by the leaf teeth 2 against the fabric stop edge 8 of the fabric 9 already produced. Spreaders 10 of conventional design are arranged at the smallest possible distance from the fabric stop edge 8, each of which has a fixed and a rotatable part 11 or 12 and by means of the rotatable part 12 grasp the side parts of the fabric 9 produced and constantly pull it outwards. As a result, the fabric is stretched in width, so that the warp threads 5 and 6 always run perpendicular to the fabric stop edge 8.
On the side of the reed 1 facing the fabric stop edge, auxiliary nozzles 16 are arranged at suitable intervals, which are mounted on a component 17 fastened to the sley and connected to an air supply line.
The auxiliary nozzles 16 each have a recess 13 on their side facing the reed 1, which recesses in their entirety form a channel for guiding the weft thread 7 to be inserted.
2, 3 and 4, the auxiliary nozzles 16 each have a jet outlet opening 14 in the region of their edge facing the reed 1 above and below the recess 13, each jet outlet opening 14 also being formed by a group of openings can.
The auxiliary nozzles 16 according to FIGS. 2 and 3 each have a V-shaped, the auxiliary nozzle 16 according to FIG. 4 has a trapezoidal recess 13, and differently shaped convex recesses would also be possible. The auxiliary nozzle 16 shown in FIG. 3 is provided with an additional jet outlet opening 15 in the region of the apex of its V-shaped recess 13. The axes of the beam outlet openings 14 and 15 are slightly inclined to the direction of insertion of the weft thread 7, which in the figures runs perpendicular to the plane of the drawing towards the viewer.
The air jets emerging through the jet outlet openings 14 and 15 each form a jet cone indicated by a circle K in FIGS. 2 to 4. In the exemplary embodiments shown in FIGS. 2 and 4, the weft thread 7 is guided and transported between the two jet cones K and the leaf teeth 2, in the variant shown in FIG. 3 between the three jet cones K.
In the starting position of the reed 1 shown in full lines in FIG. 1, a weft 7 is shot into the guide channel delimited by the recesses 13 of the auxiliary blowing nozzles 16 and the leaf teeth 2 of the reed 1 through a main blowing nozzle (not shown) arranged laterally of the warp threads. In the guide channel, the weft thread 7 is caught by the air jets emerging from the jet outlet openings 14 of the auxiliary blowing nozzles 16 and transported in a relay-like manner from the auxiliary blowing nozzle to the auxiliary blowing nozzle through the shed. After completion of the weft insertion, the reed 1 is moved together with the auxiliary blowing nozzles 16 into the stop position shown in dashed lines in FIG. 1. During this movement, the auxiliary blowing nozzles are pivoted out of the shed, so that the weft thread 7 can be struck by the reed 1 against the fabric stop edge 8.
After the weft stop, the reed 1 and auxiliary blowing nozzles 16 are moved back to their starting position. The auxiliary blowing nozzles 16 are pivoted into the newly formed shed from below, so that the guide channel for the weft thread 7 is again inside the shed.
