PATENTANSPRUCH

PATENT CLAIM
Coin channel with blocking device for self-cashiers for catching coins attached to threads, characterized in that the blocking device consists of a cut-in plate (1), the parts (3, 4) of which are interlocked in a V-shape on both sides of the cut (2) is arranged at the transition from a flat to a steeply sloping part of the coin channel (K).
The invention relates to a coin channel with a blocking device for self-cashiers for intercepting coins attached to threads.
Locking devices are known which have the shape of a flap which is mounted in one wall of the coin channel and is designed such that it pivots against the opposite channel wall under the influence of gravity. A coin can pass through the flap by swinging the flap aside. If the coin is attached to a thread and is moved up and down for the purpose of deceiving the self-cashier, this coin pushes against the lower edge of the flap when it is withdrawn. This prevents the attempt to pass the thread coin past the counting device several times, for example. It also prevents the thread coin from being used a second time because it can no longer be withdrawn from the device. Either the thread is released or it breaks when force is used.
In both cases, the coin can be fed into the cassette (DE-OS 2 260 220).
In contrast to this, the object of the present invention is to prevent a thread coin from being able to penetrate much deeper than the blocking device into the coin channel, so that, for example, the cashier or counter device is not reached at all. The withdrawal of the coin then need not be prevented. The task is solved by the features specified in the characterizing part of the claim. Such a solution is particularly advantageous if the switch between the cashier channel and the return channel is not set to the former in the idle state.
The invention is explained in more detail below. In the figure of the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of the locking device is shown in perspective. It consists of a substantially rectangular plate 1, from which a small rectangle is cut out at one corner. From the resulting inside corner, a cut 2 is inserted obliquely into the plate 1, which ends approximately in the middle of the plate. At least one (4) of the two parts 3 and 4 of the plate separated by the cut 2 is interleaved with the other (3), so that the cut is widened into a V-shaped gap.
This plate 1 is inserted into the coin channel K at a kinking point such that inserted coins pass through the cut or gap 2. As soon as a coin M attached to a thread F has passed through the gap and gets into the subsequent, more steeply sloping channel part, the thread F is pulled from the coin onto the bottom of the gap 2, where it jams. The coin can be used again with increased effort withdrawn, but it is impossible to move them deeper into the coin channel, since the thread F inevitably jams again and again in the gap 2.
The configuration of the plate can also be chosen differently than in the example shown, for example polygonal or limited on both sides. It is also irrelevant whether the
Plate is stamped from sheet metal or molded from plastic or metal. It is important to have sharp edges on section 2 and an entanglement of parts 3 and 4 at a relatively small acute angle.
