Description
The invention is based on a method according to the preamble of claim 1. Numerous systems for utilizing solar energy for heating purposes or heating domestic water are already known. These systems essentially consist of a solar collector in which a heat transfer medium (e.g. 45 water) is heated by solar radiation. The heated heat transfer medium is then fed to a store in a heat transfer circuit and releases its heat there again. If this store is arranged spatially below the solar collector, a pump system is required to feed the heat transfer medium 50 back to the solar collector. This heating system is often designed as a closed system, i. H. the system is completely filled with a heat transfer medium without open connections.
If the heat of the heat carrier is not dissipated in the storage tank in the case of solar collectors, either because the storage tank has reached its upper temperature or because the circulation pump fails, the heat transfer medium in the collector continues to heat up when the sun is shining. In this case, the heat transfer medium can be heated from 60 to 160 ° C (idle temperature) for double-disc collectors. However, the DIN standard 4751 for systems with a closed circuit limits the upper temperature to 110 ° C.
This upper temperature limit is not guaranteed in the closed heat transfer circuit system even if the hot steam generated is blown off with pressure relief valves. There is a risk that the collector will completely lose its water filling in this operating state, so that it can then heat up to its final temperature.
One possibility of cooling the heat transfer medium would be cooling with fresh water. Here, however, fresh water is only heated up and then wasted. Another possibility is cooling the collector with fans. However, energy is used uselessly. Finally, the cooling of the solar collector based on the convection principle should also be mentioned, according to which the air heated at the collector rises and cooler air is followed, which results in cooling.
Vorteile der Erfindung Advantages of the invention
The method according to the invention with the characterizing features of patent claim 1 has the advantage that the excess heat of a solar collector is dissipated by an independent control in an additional heat exchanger. If the heat exchanger is arranged above the solar collector, the hot heat carrier heated in the solar collector flows through the connected heat exchanger due to the thermosiphon effect (independent gravity circulation) and cools down there.
The measures listed in the dependent claims allow advantageous further developments and improvements of the method specified in the main claim. The parallel connection of the additional heat exchanger to the solar collector is particularly advantageous, since as a result the heat transfer medium flows out at the collector outlet, flows through the heat exchanger, cools there and flows back from there to the collector inlet. If a thermostatically controlled valve is arranged in the area of the collector outlet, this cooling circuit can be operated continuously and continuously. The control of this valve takes place in an advantageous manner via a temperature sensor, which in the area of the warmest point of the solar collector, ie. H. is placed near the collector outlet. It appears to be very favorable if the function of the valve and the temperature sensor is based on a mechanical or thermodynamic principle, i.e. independent of the current.
These advantageous measures ensure that the cooling circuit switches on automatically when a critical, adjustable heat transfer medium temperature is reached. In particular, these measures achieve the DIN standard 4751 in a very simple manner. B. also the use of temperature-sensitive plastic solar panels is made possible. For collectors with a glass surface, the risk of glass breakage is reduced due to the lower temperature differences within the solar collector.

An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing and explained in more detail in the following description. The single figure shows an arrangement for carrying out the method according to the invention.
Beschreibung eines Ausführungsbeispiels nach der Erfindung Description of an embodiment according to the invention
The arrangement shown consists of a solar collector 10, above which a heat exchanger 11 is arranged in parallel. Between the solar collector 10 and the heat exchanger 11 there is a valve 12 which is thermostatically controlled via a temperature sensor 13. The temperature sensor 13 is arranged in the region of the highest collector temperature, i. H. near the outflow of the heat transfer medium from the collector. The figure also shows the units required for the heating system, such as heat accumulator 14 and circulation pump 15

schematisch dargestellt. The individual units are connected by a pipe system.
The heating system can then be operated as follows: In normal operation, the heat transfer medium in the solar collector 10 is heated up as a result of the solar radiation and is transported from there via the pipe system to the store 14. If the solar collector 10 is arranged spatially above the heat accumulator 14, a circulation pump 15 is required for the heat carrier circuit, since no natural heat carrier circulation is possible. In the storage 14 10, the heat of the heat transfer medium is given off to a storage medium. The cooled heat transfer medium is then fed to the solar collector inlet 16 with the aid of the pump 15 and can in turn heat up in the solar collector.
If no or only a little heat is removed from the storage 14, it heats up continuously as long as the heat transfer medium absorbs heat through solar radiation and supplies it to the storage 14. If the temperature of the store 14 is so high that it can no longer absorb heat, or if the heat cycle is interrupted due to a failure of the circulation pump 15, the heat transfer medium in the solar collector continues to heat up. The temperature of the heat transfer medium can reach up to 160 ° C with double-disc collectors, which is not permitted according to DIN standard 4751 for closed systems. In this case, the invention provides that the temperature sensor 13 of the valve 12, which is mounted on or behind the absorber plate of the collector near the outlet, takes over the control of the valve 12 from a certain temperature (e.g. 95 ° C.). Due to the thermosiphon effect (automatic gravity circulation), the hot heat transfer medium then flows through the heat exchanger 11, cools there as a result of the cooler air around it, and flows back to the collector inlet 16. However, this counterclockwise cycle only takes place when the pump 15 is not in operation, d. H. the heat transfer circuit does not take place via the store 14. When the pump 15 is switched on, the heat exchanger 11 is flowed through in the other sense. In this case, heat is also given off to the surroundings by the heat exchanger 11, so that the collector is also supplied with a heat transfer medium of low temperature. In this case, the temperature of the storage can also be reduced again. If the temperature falls below the limit of the collector again, the valve 12 closes again and the heat transfer circuit is back in normal operation.
