Abstract

The display device is provided with numerical display sections for the hours (4) and with numerical display sections for the minutes (5), a colon display section (6) being situated between these two numerical display sections. This colon display section (6) can be energised to provide the AM/PM information, so as to show up either a filled colon (8) or else an unfilled colon (7). This display device makes it possible both to preserve the conventional function of the @:@ and in addition to assign it the AM/PM display function, thus provided in an inexpensive and clear manner. <IMAGE>
