Buchförmige Kassette aus Kunststoff für Film- oder Tonbandspulen, mit wenigstens teilweise transparenten Seitenwände, einem aufklappbaren Rücken und an den Seitenwänden angeordneten Verbindungselementen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, ; dass die Seitenwände (la, lb) zum Führen und Zentrieren der Spule (5) am unteren und oberen Rand segmentförmige Einschnürungen (2,3) besitzen und dass an jeder unteren Einschnürung (3) zusätzliche, segmentförmig gestaltete und nach innen ragende Stege (6) angeformt sind, die dazu bestimmt sind, in eine eingeschobene Spule (5) um einen Abstand (a) vom Scheitelpunkt (C) zum Rücken (B) versetzt zu halten.1. Eine erfindungsgemäss gestaltete Kassette kann vollständig aus transparentem Material hergestellt werden, es ist aber auch möglich, die Seitenwände bis auf eine zwischen den segmentformigen Einschnürungen im mittleren Bereich liegende, kreisförmige Einschnürung mit einer Narbung zu versehen.
