Abstract

The catamenial device comprises a central absorbing element and an external film-like envelope which is flexible and permeable and is carried by the said central element. The abovementioned device is produced by forming the said external film-like envelope on the central element by a dipping or spraying process and by subsequently drying the device. The combination of the central absorbing element and the flexible film ensures close contact with the mucosa.
