Abstract

The apparatus comprises a useful mass consisting of a weighing tray (1) supporting a bowl (2) and a reaction mass (3). These masses are connected by elastically deformable strips (6) each fixed at a point of their length to a tray (9) constituting the base of the apparatus. The masses (1 and 3) are excited by electromagnets (solenoids) whose coil (4) is rendered integral with the reaction mass (3) whilst its armature (5) is fastened under the tray (1). The tray of the base (9) is thus subject to virtually no vibration capable of being transmitted to the support (S) of the apparatus. The bowl (2) with helical ramps forming part of the useful mass may contain mixed articles which the apparatus sorts and aligns. <IMAGE>
