REVENDICATIONS
la fig. 1 est une coupe du dispositif dans son axe par un plan vertical;
la fig. 2 est une coupe par le piston commandant le mouvement de rotation du dispositif;

3. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that it is arranged so as to be integrated directly into a rotary table of a machine, since the lower half-cube and the table of the machine are only one and the same room.
4. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that it is controlled entirely hydraulically, the support of the front teeth being hydraulically by replacing the effect of the spring washers by hydraulic pressure.
The present invention relates to a device for machining mechanical parts on five different faces, the sixth face being intended for placing the part on the device. This device can be used on machining centers with horizontal or vertical spindle. The advantage of this device is that it can machine a part on five of its six faces in one pass on the machine if the device is mounted on a rotary table with vertical axis.
We know the working process which consists in putting the workpiece directly in the center of a rotary table with vertical axis, so as to be able to machine on the four sides of the workpiece, each time pivoting the table by 900.
In this case, if you have to machine a fifth side, for example the top side, you must take the part for a second pass on the machine by placing it on a side already machined, so that you can finish it. This way of doing things has the disadvantage of requiring, in the case of parts which are to be machined on five sides, two start-ups and therefore of taking up the parts twice on the machining center, which increases the manufacturing time.
The operations to be carried out are drilling, tapping, reaming, milling, etc. It is therefore possible to use this device on various machines, such as machining centers, various milling machines, drills, boring machines, etc. The present invention therefore aims to rationalize the machining of parts which have machining on five sides. To this end, the device of the invention is as described in claim 1.
The accompanying drawings show, by way of example and schematically, an embodiment of the object of the present invention:
fig. 1 is a section of the device in its axis by a vertical plane;
fig. 2 is a section through the piston controlling the rotational movement of the device;
fig. 3 is a view showing the electrical limit switches.
The present invention therefore aims to rationalize the machining of parts which have machining on five sides. The workpiece is fixed to the face 9 of the device. In this position, the spindle 3 completely machines the face 12 perpendicular to the spindle.
Then, by rotation around the axis 15, the workpiece is rotated 900 relative to its initial position, so that it is possible to machine the four faces perpendicular to the spindle 3. Such a device finds its optimal application on a numerically controlled machining center, equipped with an automatic tool changer. In this case, it avoids taking the part twice on the machine to machine faces perpendicular to each other.
Fig. 1 shows the device in question mounted on the rotary table 1 of a machine tool; the pivot axis 2 of this table is vertical, while the horizontal spindle carrying the cutting tool of the machine is represented by 3. The device consists of a sole 4 surrounded by a fixed ring 36 and the lower frame which has the shape of a half-cube cut diagonally 5.
In this part is located all the hydromechanical control of the device. On a shaft 6 perpendicular to the diagonal of the cube is fixed, by the screws 7, a second half-cube 8 on the face 9 of which is mounted a workpiece 10 by means of a template 11. Under these conditions, the part 10 can be machined on its entire face 12 presented to the spindle 3. When the machining operations are completed on this face, hydraulic oil is injected through the channel 13 so that, by the action of the piston 14, the whole part 8 moves away in the direction of the axis 15 so as to separate the front positioning teeth 16 so that they are no longer in engagement. The spring washers 17, retained by the part 34 and the screws 35, are then compressed.
Under these conditions, the piston 18, by actuating the gear 19 cut directly on the shaft 6, gives the upper half-cube 8 a rotational movement around the axis 15, so as to have a new position of the part. to be machined at 1800 from the previous one, with reference to axis 15. If one refers to the pivot axis of table 2, the workpiece has made a movement of 900 relative to the same time to its previous position.
The piston 18 is retained at the end of the race by the covers 20 and 21 (fig. 2) through the channels from which the necessary hydraulic oil is supplied. It is understood that the pivot angle relative to the axis 15 is always 1800 and that, consequently, the two covers are definitively adjusted during assembly of the device.
When the pivoting is carried out, the pressure of the channel 13 is cut, so that the upper half-cube 8, under the impulse of the springs 17, returns back and is positioned automatically with great precision when the front teeth 16 start to new in touch. The ring 22 and the Seeger ring 23 hold the entire half-cube 8 under the force of the springs 17 by means of the shaft 6 and the screws 7. Thus, precise positioning and mechanical tightening have been achieved.
From then on, by rotating the whole system around the axis of rotation 2 of the rotary table, it is possible to machine four faces of the part 10 parallel to the axis of rotation 2. We therefore have, with the help of this device, machined part 10 on five faces, four of which are perpendicular to the bearing face and the fifth parallel to this same bearing face. The ring 24 and the seal 25 serve to seal against the shavings and the coolants used.
Fig. 3 shows the lower end of the axis 6 and the safety devices which are provided for the proper functioning of the device. The electrical contacts 26 and 27 leave the movement along the axis 15, that is to say the coming into contact of the front teeth 16 or the disengagement of these teeth. The detectors 28 and 29 leave the rotational movement of 1800 around the axis 15.
The centering ring 30 makes it possible to center precisely, in the axis 31, the fitting on which the workpiece 10 is fixed. The centering ring 32 has the same function as the centering ring 30, but with respect to the 'axis 2.
