Beispiel example
Herstellung des Triisopropanolaminsalzes der n-Dodecylbenzolsulfonsäure Preparation of the triisopropanolamine salt of n-dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid
In 978 g (3 mol) of n-dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid, 573 g (3 mol) of melted triisopropanolamine are introduced in portions at 55 ° C. with vigorous stirring. Towards the end of neutralization, the temperature is raised to 85 ° C. After the addition of the amine has ended, the mixture is heated to 90 ° C. for 1 hour and cooled to room temperature. The viscous mass solidifies after a few days.
The content of alkylbenzenesulfonic acid salts in the formulations according to the invention is 5-45% by weight, preferably 15-35% by weight. In addition, the formulations may contain 0.5-10% by weight of a nonionic emulsifier, e.g. B. an ethoxylated alkylphenol, with the proviso that the total content of emulsifier is at most 45 wt.%.
Darüber hinaus können die erfindungsgemäs- Dimethylformamide (DMF), N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP), dimethylacetamide (DMAC) or mixtures of these solvents are used as solvents for the solution concentrates according to the invention. DMF or DMF / NMP mixtures in a mixing ratio of 9: 1 to 4: 6 (w / w) are preferably used. A part of these solvents, however a maximum of 40%, can be replaced by conventional solvents such as aromatic hydrocarbons or triethylene glycol, preferably if the formulations contain less than 20% active ingredient. In addition, the

Sen solution concentrates a dye and up to 5% of a conventional defoamer, e.g. B. a long-chain branched alcohol.
The Triforme content in the formulations according to the invention is 3-30%, preferably 5-25%. Mixtures with other fungicidal, acaricidal or insecticidal active compounds can also be used; in these cases the active ingredient content can also be higher than 30%.
The production of triforine liquid formulations is made particularly difficult by the fact that the active ingredient is only slightly soluble in most solvents which can be used for crop protection agents. The solubility of triforine is good in DMF, NMP and DMAC as well as their mixtures

When using DMF / NMP 1: 1 as a solvent, comparative experiment no. 2 shows that adding the mono-isopropylamine salt of the DBS increases the amount of DMF / NMP required. Experiments Nos. 3 and 4, on the other hand, show that when the diisopropyl or triethylamine salt is added, the amount of solvent required is reduced.
In DMF as solvent, the solvent requirement for the preparation of solutions No. 7 and 8 according to the invention is also lower than in comparative example No. 6.
The liquid formulations according to the invention have a very low toxicity to warm-blooded animals and are well tolerated by plants. They are suitable in plant protection for combating phytopathogenic fungi and spider mites, especially for leaf treatment by spraying or spraying after dilution with water. The solution concentrates can also be applied diluted for ultra-low-volume (ULV) applications.
The solution concentrates according to the invention are also suitable for the liquid dressing of seeds, eg. B. cereals, to prevent fungal infections.

As a result, when using higher proportions of these emulsifiers, it is only possible to produce relatively low-percentage liquid formulations with often unsatisfactory low-temperature stability. Another advantage of the formulations according to the invention is that when the preferred emulsifiers are used, the solubility of triforins in the solvents used is not reduced, even in high amounts. This effect is particularly pronounced with the triethylamine salt, somewhat weaker with the di-iso-propylamine salt of n-dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid.
The following table illustrates the different effects on solubility:
