Abstract

Process for the manufacture of a resinous composition, especially for varnishes for enamelling electrical conductors, in which a polyester resin is prepared by reaction of at least one aromatic polycarboxylic acid with at least one diol, and it is then mixed with a polyhydantoin resin. A constituent which has at least three acidic groups or a corresponding esterifiable derivative, which are preferably chosen from acids or their anhydrides, is employed for the preparation of the polyester resin.
