Example 2 was repeated using 7-chloro-2- (N-methyl-N-1-hydroxyethyl-amino) -5 phenyl-3H-1,4-benzodiazepine 4oxide hydrochloride (380 mg) as the material. starting and we obtained 75 mg of colorless crystals of the product
methanolic solvation of 8-chloro-4-methyl 5-oxide
2-methyl-amino-6-phenyl-1,5-benzodiaqzocin, m.p. 128 "C to
130 C.
Example 9
In a solution of 2- (N
methyl-N-1-hydroxypropyl-aminomethyl) -4-phenyl-6-chloro
quinazoline (1 g) in methanol (25 ml), added with
stirring a 10% aqueous sodium hydroxide solution (2.5 ml) and the
mixture was stirred for half an hour, diluted to
aean (50 ml) and the product was filtered and crystallized from ether
diethyl, which provided 400 mg of yellowish crystals
8-chloro-4-ethyl-2-methyl-amino-6- 5-oxide stacks
phenyl-1,5-benzodiazocine, m.p.
145 C to 147 C
Example 10
In a solution of 2- (N methyl-N-1-hydroxybutyl-aminomethyl) -4-phenyl-6-chloro- 3-oxide hydrochloride
quinazoline (1 g) in methanol (25 ml), concentrated ammonia (2.5 ml) was added with stirring and the mixture was stirred for half an hour, it was diluted with water
(50 mL) and the product was filtered and crystallized from diethyl ether and hexane to provide 360 mg of yellowish crystals of 8-chloro-4-propyl-2-methyl-amino-6phenyl- 5-oxide. 1,5-benzodiazocine, pf 104 C to 106 C.
Example 11
In a solution of 1- (N methyl-N-1 -hydroxyethyl-aminomethyl) -4-phenyl-6-chloroquinazoline 3-oxide hydrochloride (0.950 g) in 20 ml of 1,2-dimethoxyethane, there is added 10% aqueous sodium hydroxide solution (2.5ml) and the mixture was stirred for half an hour and diluted with water (60ml). The precipitated product was filtered and recrystallized from ethyl acetate to obtain 300 mg of yellow crystals of 8-chloro-4-methyl-2-methyl-amino-6-phenyl-1,5 very stacked 5-oxide. -benzodiazocine. m.p. 178 C to 179 C.
