Abstract

A sawing or kerving arm (21) is rigid and rigidly attached to a frame. A motor, with its output shaft and a driving gear wheel together form a block mounted on the same frame, which can pivot by means of a spindle (37). This assembly can be adjusted and locked in the longitudinal direction D of the arm (21) by a stop (41) and adjusting screws (44). An endless chain (22), provided with cutting spikes, is driven by the gear wheel and is returned by the rounded end (23) of the arm, and is in addition guided along its whole path by means of a groove (24) in the arm itself. <IMAGE>
