Abstract
The two surfaces which are to come into contact are coated either with a solvent capable, when hot, of dissolving the polyvinylidene fluoride or with a solution of polyvinylidene fluoride in a solvent, then in bringing the two surfaces into contact and the parts thus joined are heated to a temperature above 100 DEG C. The method is particularly suitable for adhesively bonding tubes; it permits the easy installation or modification of a pipework assembly for example.
