Abstract

Electronic time-measuring device having an oscillator (9) and a frequency divider (10) whose output controls a switching device (12, 13), the frequency divider being assigned a storage element (7) which in the stored, active state prevents the resetting of the frequency divider in the event of failure of the supply voltage, and upon expiry of the time interval to be measured is discharged from the output of the frequency divider and rendered inactive. Consequently, the frequency divider is reset in the case of normal reconnection of the device, but not in the case when the supply voltage returns after a failure of the main source. The time-measuring device can be applied chiefly as a time switch for controlling processing and manipulating systems. <IMAGE>
