Fig. 1 zeigt einen Kugelbehälter mit Lagerung im Vertikalschnitt;
The present invention relates to a spherical container for gases or liquids, with storage on a foundation arranged in the region of the vertical axis of the spherical container and with a cushion arranged between the foundation and the spherical container, with both firmly connected pads made of a material with elastomeric behavior.
Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for producing the ball container with storage.
Bearings of spherical containers which serve to store gases or liquids have already become known, supports or rings or annular sand beds being used. A known embodiment is that a cushion is created between the ball container and the concrete foundation, which consists of natural or synthetic tensile polymers or polycondensates with a low modulus of elasticity. The cushion is secured in a ring-shaped reinforcement or border against radial displacement. In a known sand bed storage, a centrally arranged cushion made of bitumen mixture with ring-shaped reinforcement is also used.
The applicant has already proposed a ball container for gases and liquids with storage, which has a foundation arranged in the region of the vertical axis of the ball container, on which the ball container rests.
In this version, the ball container is firmly connected to the foundation. A further development of this embodiment relates to a bearing for a ball container, in which the cushion, which is arranged between the foundation and the ball container and is firmly connected to both, consists of resilient supports of elastomeric material arranged in a grid plan, the space between the supports having a non-elastomeric elastic mass is replenished. With this design it was achieved that the load changes, ie. H. strong deformation occurring during filling or emptying could be somewhat reduced. The peg-like supports used dissolve the total stress, which can only occur at the edges and in the individual supports to a much smaller extent.
The support surfaces act as form supports for the shell, whereby the flexible, elastic mass that fills the gaps allows a limited horizontal compensatory movement without sliding movement.
The present invention is intended to further improve this solution, which has already proven itself in practice, and to simplify production even more. In particular, an absolutely earthquake-proof bearing should be formed.
According to the invention, a storage for a ball container for gases or liquids is assumed, in which a foundation is arranged in the region of the vertical axis of the ball container and a cushion made of a material with an elastomeric, i.e. springy behavior, is connected between the foundation and the ball container is. The invention consists in that the cushion consists of support plates that cover the entire support surface in such a way that only narrow joints remain between the individual plates, which are filled with a sealing compound.
In this way, an almost completely form-supported mounting of the spherical shell is to be achieved, which is effective both when emptied and when filled, the stress being significantly reduced when the load changes.
In a known pressure vessel, which is supported by means of a subdivided support surface and has a flexible ring zone made of unbound, granular bulk material, the ideal support as a shape-supported shell is achieved only once, namely during the pressure test. The container then lifts off the sand or deforms in the edge zone.
With another previously known ball container, which is firmly connected to the foundation, the ideal, form-fitting support of the bowl is only achieved when the fill level is full.
Otherwise, this solution has proven itself in practice and is also quite earthquake-proof.
In areas with tectonic vibrations, the storage of a spherical container is additionally stressed by the vibrations triggered. Ideally, the bearing construction should have such a low natural frequency that it does not respond to the frequency of the vibrations at all, or only at a very low level. According to the proposed solution, the support plates cover almost the entire support surface, and the horizontal movement could be kept very small by making the supports plate-shaped.
The proposed method for producing a spherical container with storage is that first the spherical support part of the spherical container is created, whereupon support plates made of elastomeric material are glued onto the spherical bearing surface in such a way that joints are created between the plates, which are filled with a sealing compound after which the dome part is placed in the correct position on an auxiliary scaffold that was erected on a base part. Finally, the upper part of the foundation is erected in secondary concrete and firmly connected to the support plates, with the auxiliary scaffold remaining in the secondary concrete as additional reinforcement.
An exemplary embodiment of the proposed storage is shown in the accompanying drawing, the manufacturing method also being explained.
Fig. 1 shows a ball container with storage in vertical section;
Fig. 2 shows the inverted calotte lower part of the ball container in supervision, and
Fig. 3 illustrates on a somewhat larger scale the lower section of the foundation with auxiliary scaffold and attached calotte part in section.
In Fig. 1, a ball container 4 is shown, which, for. B. for the storage of liquefied hydrocarbon with a specific weight of 0.56 at 38 C. The ball container has a diameter of 28.4 m and the weight of the filling will be approx. 900 t at maximum filling level. The dead weight of the ball with superstructures was calculated at approx. 95 t. The ball container 4 rests on a foundation which consists of a lower part 1 and an upper part 2. The spherical cap should be under pressure from all sides in the contact area. For this purpose, the central angle 11 is selected so that the stresses in the transition area do not exceed the prescribed sizes. The ball is made of low-alloy, high-strength steel, the lower part of the calotte with central angle 10 having a greater wall thickness than the rest of the ball.
The maximum wall thickness of 21 mm in the area of the support surface can be gradually reduced to 14 mm.
According to the example shown, the calotte part 5 has a diameter of 6.2 m and a storage area of approximately 32 m2 is created. This bearing surface is firmly connected to the foundation with the aid of a support layer 6. The foundation is carried out in two steps in reinforced concrete, which rests on a compacted layer of gravel.
The detailed design of the support layer 6 can be seen in FIG. 2. This consists of individual support plates 7, z. B.
made of rubber with elastomeric behavior. A synthetic rubber based on poly-2-chlorobutadiene can preferably be used, which is characterized by a balanced ratio of high-quality, mechanical properties and is also weatherproof and chemical-resistant. At the edge of the support layer, the support plates 7a are cut according to the curve.
The support plates are relatively thin in relation to the surface area. So z. B. plates of 650 x 650 mm with a thickness of 20 mm can be used. The ratio of the squares of the effective wall thicknesses results in:
20 x 20 400 = almost0 = almost 0
650 x 650 422 500
The resistance of the elastomer in the direction of the foundation is therefore small and facilitates the transmission of force in this direction. In contrast, resistance to horizontal forces remains extraordinarily high and leads to a deflection in the material into the more flexible vertical. The distances between the individual support plates are very small, so that only narrow joints are created, which are subsequently filled in by injection of a soft plastic mass. In Fig. 2, the gaps or joints are designated 8.
In the proposed solution, the vibration isolation by the support plates 7 in the horizontal direction is very large. This can be increased again by providing the support plates with holes which are then not filled. Each support plate can e.g. B. have six circular holes, each 80 mm in diameter.
To erect the spherical container, the cap part is first produced in an inverted form, as can be seen in FIG. 2, and the support layer 6 of the same is coated with adhesive and provided with support plates 7. In addition, the lower foundation part 1 is produced on a gravel layer 3 made of concrete and provided with an auxiliary scaffold, which is designated by 9 in FIG. 3. The joints or spaces 8 between the support plates 7 are then filled with a viscous sealing compound based on plastic. This sealant does not harden completely, but remains soft plastic. A very stable thioplast is preferably chosen as the plastic base. After the surfaces of the support plates 7 have been coated with pressure-sensitive adhesive, the dome part 5 is rotated by 1800 and placed on the auxiliary frame 9.
The second concrete for the upper foundation part 2 is then introduced in a sealing manner and firmly connected to the support layer 6 by adhesive. The auxiliary scaffold 9 remains in the second concrete as additional reinforcement. The bearing shell previously required on the foundation base can be saved.
In the manner described, an almost completely form-supported mounting of the spherical shell was achieved. The spherical cap is then supplemented to the finished spherical container by prefabricated parts. Since the supports are plate-like and relatively thin in relation to their surface, any horizontal movement that could occur is kept very small. Excellent vibration isolation in the horizontal direction is achieved.
