Fig. 1 einer perspektivische Draufsicht auf einen als Herdplatte verwendeten erfindungsgemässen Einsatz;
Fig. 2 und 3 Teilschnitte nach der Linie A-A in Fig. 1 durch zwei Varianten der Randausbildung und Befestigung eines erfindungsgemässen Einsatzes einer Abdeckung;
The invention relates to an insert made of sheet metal, which is installed in an opening of a cover.
Such inserts are often heat treated prior to installation, e.g. B. enamelled. Here, the insert can suffer a twist that has to be compensated for because of the mostly necessary alignment of the insert on the cover surface, z. B. by leveling. This creates tensions that can have a damaging effect on the surface, in particular on enamelling.
The invention is based on the object of designing an insert of the type described in such a way that the disadvantage mentioned is avoided and that simple manufacture and assembly are ensured.
To achieve this object, it is provided according to the invention that the edge of the insert has a stiffener which engages in the opening along the opening edge, and furthermore has a part which overlaps the opening edge and is supported thereon
With the invention, the advantage can be achieved that the reinforcement gives the insert such an inherent rigidity that a heat treatment, such as enamelling, can be carried out without twisting the receiving plate.
The insert according to the invention is used with particular advantage as a built-in cooking surface in the worktop of a kitchen. However, such inserts can also be designed for other uses, e.g. B. as a rinsing tub. Another advantage that can be achieved with the invention is that the insert according to the invention can be attached to the cover practically flush with the latter.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to schematic drawings of an exemplary embodiment with further details. Show it:
1 shows a perspective top view of an insert according to the invention used as a hotplate;
FIGS. 2 and 3 partial sections along the line A-A in FIG. 1 through two variants of the edge design and fastening of a cover insert according to the invention;
FIG. 4 shows a partially sectioned, perspective partial illustration of an insert according to FIG. 3, and
FIG. 5 shows a partial section along the line A-A in FIG. 1 through a third variant of the edge formation and attachment of an insert to a cover.
Fig. 1 shows a built-in cooking surface built into a cover 1 with an insert which has an enameled insert part 2 for hotplates 3 with an integrated storage area 4 and a control panel 5.
The connection of the insert to the cover is shown in two alternative exemplary embodiments in the partial sections according to FIGS. 2 and 3.
According to FIG. 2, the insert part 2 of the insert, which is designed as a receiving plate, has a downwardly bent edge 6, on the inside of which a first frame 7 with an angle profile is attached, e.g. B. by spot welding. This first frame 7, in conjunction with the bent rim or edge 6, stiffens the receiving plate 2 in such a way that warping of the receiving plate as a result of heat treatment, such as enamelling, is avoided.
A second frame 8 with a T-shaped cross-section is attached to the outside of the edge, in the embodiment shown with rivets 9. One side of the crossbar 10 of the frame 8 overlaps the opening edge of the receiving opening 11 in the cover 1 and is supported on it Opening edge over a flat seal 12.
On the horizontally bent leg 13 of the first frame 7 14 spring clips 15 are pivotably held by means of rivets. For example, the spring clip 15 shown in FIG. 2 can be pivoted about the axis of the rivet lying in the plane of the drawing. This pivotability is necessary for the assembly of the receiving plate in the opening 11 of the cover 1.
This assembly takes place in a simple manner that, after the seal 12 has been attached to the edge of the opening, the receiving plate connected to the two frames 7, 8 is inserted into the opening 11, whereby the inwardly folded spring clips 15 do not stand in the way of the insertion movement . The spring clips are then spread apart and pivoted outwards so that they can snap into place under the underside 16 of the cover 1 and hold the receiving plate with the hotplates 3 (not shown in FIGS. 2 and 3) securely and while generating the required sealing pressure. The assembly is very simple and does not require any loose parts, e.g. B. screws or the like.
It should be noted in particular that initially only the first frame 7 is connected to the edge 6 of the receiving plate 2 and that the enamelling of the receiving plate 2 takes place before the second frame 8 is connected to the receiving plate 2. This second frame 8 thus primarily has the function of supporting the receiving plate with the built-in hotplates on the edge of the opening 11.
3 and 4 show a simplified and therefore preferred embodiment of the invention. Parts with the same function are denoted by the same reference symbols as in FIGS. 1 and 2.
In this exemplary embodiment, the receiving plate 2 has an edge 6 which overlaps the opening edge of the opening 11 and which is connected at 20 to an upper leg 10 of the first frame 7, which here has a Z-profile, by spot welding. The height h of the first frame 7, with which it dips into the opening 11, corresponds almost to the thickness a of the cover 1. On the lower leg 13 of the first frame 7 are spring clips 14 by means of rivets 14 in the same way as in the embodiment according to FIG 15 pivotably articulated, which are used to fasten the mounting plate 2 to the cover 1.
As in the embodiment according to FIG. 2, the first frame 7 serves to stiffen the receiving plate, which prevents twisting during enamelling.
After enamelling, the connection point between the leg 10 and the edge 6 is framed by a second frame 8 with a U-shaped profile. This second frame 8 lies completely outside the area of the opening 11 and only has the function of edge protection and the covering of the welding points, that is to say an embellishment.
The second frame 8 does not transmit any forces and can therefore be dimensioned correspondingly smaller than the frame 8 in the embodiment according to FIG. 2.
The illustration according to FIG. 4 essentially shows how the frame 8 is connected to the edge 6 and the leg 10 of the frame 7. For this purpose, the leg 10 is provided with holes 22 at intervals. The edge of the lower leg 24 is squeezed into these holes 22 at 25.
This creates a form-fitting connection between the frame 8 and the leg 10 and the edge 6.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the seal lies between the underside of the leg 10 of the frame 7 and the opening edge of the opening 11.
The embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4 is simpler in terms of material and manufacturing costs than that according to FIG. 2, but has no disadvantages in operation compared to the latter.
The variant shown in FIG. 5 essentially corresponds to the embodiment according to FIG. 3 with the exception that the border frame 8 is omitted and the end section 6a of the edge 6 of the receiving plate 2 is bent over and the leg 10 of the frame 7 is covered to form the cover 1 extends towards. The leg 10 and the edge 6 lie on top of one another.
It can be seen that the insert according to the invention can be connected firmly and flush with the cover, with exact flush being achieved by countersinking the parts protruding beyond the opening edge in an edge countersink of the cover 1 (not shown) in the exemplary embodiments shown.
The design of the insert as a hotplate ensures an exact horizontal alignment of the hotplates.
The insert according to the invention can be used not only in kitchen equipment (cooking surface, sink or the like), but also very generally for installing devices in openings in covers.
