The present invention relates to a motorboat, holding the outboard and the motorcycle, designed so as to break with the fixed ratio existing between the length of a boat and its maximum speed (the longer a boat is, the more it goes. quickly), and allow its pilot to lead it to a new sportier and safer position.
The set of innovations that it includes also makes it faster and more pleasant to pilot than motor boats of me power.
The boat according to the invention is characterized by the fact that it is constituted by a streamlined hull, by at least one elongated saddle, similar to that of a motorcycle, which the pilot straddles, by means of propulsion, by a handlebar kinematically connected to a rudder, and by a lifting device intended to raise the hull out of the water to reduce resistance when the canoe gains speed.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a plan view,
fig. 2 is a front view,
fig. 3 a partially cutaway side view.
The motor boat shown, of the outboard type, comprises a hull 10, molded in a plastic piece, the upper part of which forms an elongated saddle 11 that the pilot straddles like a motorcycle saddle, and two footrests 12 located on each side and against the bottom of the saddle.
The propulsion of the boat is provided by an outboard motor 15. A handlebar 13, connected to the pivoting part of this motor by cross cables 14, allows the pilot to steer the boat.
The engine starter battery and the fuel tank, not shown in the drawing, are housed inside the saddle 11.
The pilot, lying on the saddle, his feet calm on the footrests 12, takes shelter behind a bomb windshield 16 extending the aerodynamic nose of the hull.
The boat is equipped with a lifting device in the form of two profile wings 17 and 19, in the form of arches, fixed at the front, respectively at the rear of the hull bottom by arms 18 and 20. These arms cross the wings and form strakes 23 and 24.
This device makes it possible to obtain, when the boat is propelled:
- a lift effect thanks to the plane-convex sections of the wings, the force directed upwards which results therefrom causing the hull to rise and from a certain speed the boat literally slides on the surface of the water, alone the two wings remaining in contact with the latter.
- maintaining the direction of the boat thanks to the arms 18 and 20, as well as to the lateral sections of the wing 17,
- a stabilization effect preventing roll and sloshing thanks to the central section of the wing 17 which always remains submerged,
- the lateral inclination of the boat when turning,
- a smoother, faster and more harmonious displacement than that of a traditional boat of the same power.
Equipped with a 20 to 25 HP engine, the canoe shown is capable of reaching a speed of about 100 km / h on calm water.
The keel, incorporated into the hull as in a conventional motor boat, gives the boat perfect stability when it floats without being propelled or is moving at reduced speed.
The invention is obviously not limited to the form of embodiment.
cution shown in the drawing. In particular the canoe could
meter with several places, for example two places, one for the pilot, the other for a passenger, places one behind the other on the same saddle, or one next to the other on two parallel stools.
The canoe could also be fitted with an inboard motor instead of an outboard motor. In this case it would have its own rudder connected directly to the handlebars.
Further the hull could be made of laminated polyester, centrifuged polyethylene, wood, steel, etc.
