Abstract

The lever closure is especially for bottles or similar containers which have a closure element and a sealing location on the outflow opening with an actuating unit. There is a swivel bearing below the outflow opening with a manually-operated handle and a connecting link attached both to the actuating unit and the outside of the closure element. The connecting link is movable by the actuating unit from an open position through a dead point position to a closed position. In the closed position, the handle of the actuating unit (11) lies above the elastically-deformed closure element, and in order to open the container, the closure element can be moved both sideways and downwards.
