The invention relates to a vice jaw chuck.
In a known embodiment, an aluminum covering is connected to a steel sheet which has two lateral spring tabs with barbs. Other designs have permanent magnets so that the jaw chuck sticks to the vice jaws.
However, these embodiments are unsatisfactory, especially when a workpiece is of considerable weight or has a bulky shape, so that the jaw chuck is exposed to greater forces when the workpiece is clamped and is therefore displaced undesirably.
With the jaw chuck according to the invention, this disadvantage is to be eliminated. This is characterized in that it has a U-shaped cross section with an upper cover flange and a clamping flange provided with at least one clamping screw below, and that at least one retaining groove is provided on the side of the web facing away from the flanges.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing. Show it:
1 shows an elevation of a vice jaw with the jaw chuck in section,
Fig. 2 is a view of the working surface of the jaw chuck.
1, the vice jaw chuck has a U-shaped cross section with a web 1, an upper cover flange 2 and a lower clamping flange 3. This is provided with two wing screws 4, the tips of which can be pressed against the vice jaws 5 at the bottom. Instead of the wing screws 4, those screws can be used whose heads take up less space, for. B. those with pin holes so that they can be tightened by means of a pin or nail.
The cover flange 2 is inclined towards the clamping flange 3. It can also be at right angles to the bridge 1. When tightening the cover flange 2 comes to rest on its outer edge 6 on the likewise inclined upper surface of the jaw 5. Thanks to the form-fitting holder on the jaw 5, the jaw chuck 14 can only be moved by a relatively large force. Small workpieces can therefore also be clamped on one side without disturbing the parallelism of the web position.
On the side of the web 1 facing away from the flanges 2, 3, at least one retaining groove 9 is provided. These retaining grooves can be arranged in the horizontal and / or vertical direction. They can also have different profile shapes.
The jaw chuck 1-3 can be made of light metal or plastic. The plastic can be fiberglass-reinforced and have metal sleeves for receiving the screws 4.

SUBCLAIMS
1. Vice-jaw chuck according to claim, characterized in that the upper cover flange (2) is at right angles to the web (1) or is inclined towards the clamping flange (3).
