Fig. 1 die Seitenansicht einer Schaufel, von der konkaven Seite her gesehen;
Fig. 2 einen Längsschnitt durch die Schaufel gemäss Fig. 1;
Fig. 3 bis 5 Querschnitte durch die Laufschaufel gemäss Fig. 1, und zwar in der Nähe des Fusses, der Mitte bzw. des Schaufelkopfes;
The present invention relates to a rotor blade for thermal axial turbo-machines, in particular steam turbines, consisting of two blades which form the concave and convex profile part of the blade.
According to the prior art, extremely long rotor blades for steam turbines and other thermal turbo machines are known which are forged from solid as massive, suitably twisted profile parts tapering from the base to the outer end. Both the chord length of the profile and the blade cross-section decrease in the same direction. The designers of turbo machines strive to use the longest possible moving blades to create favorable flow conditions in the moving blade channels. In the case of the known rotor blades mentioned, however, because of their relatively large mass, the permissible tensile stress of the material is achieved either with short blade lengths or, if longer blades are used, with a relatively low speed of the machine.
This undesirably early attainment of the permissible tensile stress mostly occurs in the foot cross-section; however, the load capacity of the rotor also sets relatively narrow limits on the speed and / or the blade length.
While hollow blades composed of two halves have also become known, they are not long blades for the purpose mentioned. So far, these have only been designed and manufactured in the conventional manner.
The aim of the invention is to create a rotor blade which, while abstaining from the permissible tensile stresses, has a greater length than the conventional rotor blades known up to now. An improvement in the dynamic properties, in particular in the case of the free-standing blade, should also be achieved. In order to optimize the efficiency of the machine, the possibility should also be created of being able to choose the blade pitch in relation to the chord of the cross-sectional profile of the blade and the blade profiles themselves. In a special embodiment of the scoop, it can also be achieved that the drops of the liquid phase impacting on it are caught and thrown away to the outside.
According to the invention, this is achieved by the fact that the thickness of the blades from the blade end in the direction of the root remains essentially constant up to a point, and then, with a practically constant maximum tensile stress in the material, increases up to the root, where the two blades meet each other almost approach to touch. In order to catch drops, bores can be provided in the one blade which forms the convex profile part of the blade, specifically in the vicinity of the inlet edge and the end part of the blade.
The invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to the embodiment shown in the drawings. Show it:
Fig. 1 is a side view of a blade, seen from the concave side;
FIG. 2 shows a longitudinal section through the blade according to FIG. 1;
3 to 5 show cross-sections through the rotor blade according to FIG. 1, specifically in the vicinity of the root, the center and the blade head;
FIG. 6 shows an enlarged illustration of the detail A according to FIG. 5; and
7 shows the graphical representation of the course of the cross-sectional area and the tensile stress occurring along the blade.
The blade shown consists of a blade 1, which forms the concave side, and a blade 2, which forms the convex side of the blade. Both blades are joined together to form the entire blade by welding, one blade 2 forming a single piece with the foot 3 of the blade. A chamber 4 is created between blades 1 and 2 inside the blade.
The thickness of the blades 1 and 2 is constant from the blade end to point X (about 1/5 of the length). In the direction of the foot, it then increases to the extent that it ensures that the tensile stress occurring in the blade is kept constant. As a result of the described course of the leaves, the chamber 4 initially widens from the blade head in the direction of the foot, but then in the foot cross-section again to a small gap of z. B. to narrow 0.5 mm.
In a blade 2, small bores 5 are provided in the vicinity of the inlet edge and at the end part of the blade (FIGS. 5 and 6) as a connection to the inner chamber of the blade.
Thanks to the construction described, the centrifugal force of the blades transmitted to the rotor circumference is reduced. With the same load on the rotor circumference, an increase in the radial dimensions of the blades, but also the axial dimensions of the chord and the blade cross-section, is made possible. This has an advantageous effect on the efficiency of the machine, on the stresses occurring in the blade root and on the frequency of the natural vibrations of the blade.
The exit area A of the last stage of a turbine can be determined using the following formula: aQ a A = 2 z ç k 2 = f (o) k).
Where: a is the tensile stress occurring; the density of the material used; X a through finite blade thickness at the outlet; conditional constriction factor; co is the angular velocity of the rotary motion and k is the taper factor,
Ratio of tensile stresses in the same root cross-sections of two blades, one of which tapers outwards and is twisted, and the other is cylindrical and has a constant cross-section.
From the formula it can be seen that the achievable exit area A for constant tensile stress and density of the blade material as well as for constant angular speed of rotation increases the smaller the taper factor k given by the construction. For a given exit area A, smaller tensile stresses also occur for smaller k values.
The calculation results for a 920 mm long blade with a blade thickness of 1.5 mm at the blade end are plotted in FIG. 7. The left ordination axis indicates the cross-sectional areas of the blade in cm2, the right the tensile stress acting in the corresponding cross-sections in bar. The blade length is plotted on the abscissa axis, divided into 16 sections, corresponding to the cross-sections 1-17, for which calculations have been carried out.
The solid lines relate to a conventional blade, the dashed lines relate to the two-blade rotor blade according to the invention, with both blades having the same length and the same outer contour.
When changing from the conventional construction of the rotor blade to the one according to the invention, the k-factor is reduced from 0.394 to 0.262. This makes it possible, while maintaining an unchanged 1 / D value (ratio of the blade length to the pitch circle diameter of the step) and without changing the tensile stress on the blade, to increase the blade length by around 23%, in the present example from 920 mm to 1130 mm. At the same time, the exit area A increases by about 50%. If a titanium alloy was used as the blade building material, the limit length of the blade would increase from approximately 1200 mm to 1475 mm.
For the same length of blade, on the other hand, the transition from the conventional blade design to the design according to the invention results in a significant increase in the natural frequency of the blade, as a result of the reduction in the blade mass, in the example given in the ratio 23:34.
The blade described is used particularly advantageously in low-pressure parts of steam turbines which operate in the wet steam region. Profiles rounded at the inlet considerably reduce the normal component of the speed with which droplets of the liquid phase hit the blades. This weakens the erosion effect of the drops. The chamber formed by the blades can be used to collect the droplets of the liquid phase that fall on the blade near the inlet edge, as well as to throw them outward in the direction of collecting channels that are located in the housing material of the turbine.
With the use of the blade according to the invention, the risk of erosion of the blade system is considerably reduced. Regardless of the construction material (steel, titanium), higher peripheral speeds of the blades are made possible.
