Ausserdem kennt man Ausführungsformen (vergl.
Fig. 4 eine Seitenansicht des Gegenstandes der Fig. 3,
Fig. 6 den Blechzuschnitt des Gegenstandes nach Fig. 1.
The invention relates to a laminated glass pane with embedded electrical conductors and a cable connection device assigned to them made from a bent sheet metal blank with an embedding lug and at least one connection sleeve.
Such composite glass panes are known to be used as antenna panes in motor vehicles, there mostly as antennas, windshields, alarm composite glass panes and the like. The cable connection device lies with its embedding lug in the intermediate layer between the two glass panes that are bonded via the intermediate layer and is in electrical connection with the embedded electrical conductors. It is used to connect the cables that integrate the embedded electrical conductors with electrical circuits.
In the case of laminated glass panes of the type described known (from practice), the embedding lug is rolled up at one end to form the connecting sleeve. This is not free from disadvantages, since in the event of mechanical stresses that are introduced into the connecting sleeve via the connected cable, the connecting sleeve can, as it were, roll up.
Other embodiments of cable connection devices for laminated glass panes with embedded conductors, which are constructed, for example, in a U-shape (cf. DT-Gbm 1 955 695), with a connection block on the inside of the U-leg, which is inserted into a recess, are free from these disadvantages of the edge of the laminated glass pane when the U-shaped cable connection device is placed like a rider on the edge of a laminated glass pane. Embodiments are also known (see DT-Gbm 1 779 352, DT-OS 2 057 580) in which more or less semicircular cable connection devices are glued into corresponding edge recesses. In these embodiments, it is annoying that the laminated glass panes have to be provided with edge recesses.
The invention is based on the object of designing the cable connection devices in a laminated glass pane of the type described at the beginning to such an extent that mechanical loads of virtually any level can be absorbed without the connecting sleeve opening.
The invention relates to a laminated glass pane with embedded electrical conductors and a cable connection device assigned to them made from a bent sheet metal blank with an embedding lug and at least one connection sleeve. The invention consists in that the essentially cylindrical connecting sleeve is bent from a sheet metal blank with two connected legs and these legs are placed one on top of the other to form an embedding lug. According to the invention, the connecting sleeve is not formed in that the end of a sheet metal blank is rolled up in the shape of a sleeve, but rather is formed, as it were, with the sheet metal blank being folded over. It can consequently no longer be destroyed by mechanical stresses. In particular, there are several possibilities within the scope of the invention.
A preferred embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the sheet metal blank and thus the legs have a width of several centimeters and connecting sleeves are formed on both sides with the interposition of a recess. In this way, two cables can easily be connected to one and the same cable connection device. But there is also the possibility of making the arrangement so that the sheet metal blank and thus the legs have a width of several centimeters and a connection sleeve on one side, but a flange on the other side, opposite the connection sleeve.
This can serve as a soldering lug for the soldering connection of a cable or as a cable holder when feeding a cable to the connection sleeve. In order to securely anchor the embedding flag in the intermediate layer of the laminated glass pane, the invention recommends that the legs in the embedding flag have holes that overlap one another.
The connection of the connecting sleeves with the cables to be connected or their conductors can be made in different ways. In this way, the conductors can be inserted into the connection sleeve in order to be soldered there.
However, there is also the possibility of designing the connecting sleeve or the connecting sleeves as plug contact sockets or providing them with such, i.e. to use such.
The advantages achieved are to be seen in the fact that, in the case of a laminated glass pane according to the invention, the connection sleeve can practically no longer be bent open due to mechanical stresses which are introduced into the cable connection device via a connected cable.
This means a considerable functional improvement, although the manufacturing and assembly engineering effort is hardly greater than in the known embodiments of the type described above.
The small additional cost of materials is irrelevant. The fact that edge recesses are not required in the laminated glass pane itself is of particular advantage. The length of the embedding flag is adapted to the circumstances. It is within the scope of the invention to provide a connecting piece between the embedding lug and the connection sleeve or the connection sleeves or the molded flange so that the cable connection device can also be bent around the edge of a laminated glass pane.
In the following the invention is explained in more detail with reference to a drawing showing only one embodiment. It show in a schematic representation
1 shows a section of a laminated glass pane according to the invention with a cable connection device on a greatly enlarged scale,
Fig. 2 shows a section in direction A-A through the object of Fig. 1,
FIG. 3, corresponding to FIG. 1, shows another embodiment of the object according to FIG. 1,
FIG. 4 is a side view of the object of FIG. 3,
FIG. 5, corresponding to FIG. 4, shows another embodiment of the object of FIGS. 3 and
6 shows the sheet metal blank of the object according to FIG. 1.
The laminated glass pane shown in detail in the figures in the exemplary embodiment, however, in no way restrictively consists of only an outer pane 1, an inner pane 2 and the composite layer 3, which is composed, for example, of plastic film. It has embedded electrical conductors 4 and a connection device is assigned to these, which consists of a bent sheet metal blank 5 with an embedding lug 6 and one or more connection sleeves 7. From a comparative consideration of the figures, it can first be seen that the essentially cylindrical connecting sleeve 7 is bent from a sheet metal blank 5 with two connected legs 8, 9 and that these legs 8, 9 are placed on top of one another to form the embedding lug 6. The sheet metal blank 5 itself has been drawn out in FIG.
The sheet metal blank 5 and thus the legs 8, 9 have a width of several centimeters in the exemplary embodiment, the connecting sleeves are integrally formed on both sides with the interposition of a recess 10. In Fig. 5 it is shown that the sheet metal blank 5 can also have such a connection sleeve 7 only on one side and a flange 11 on the other side, i.e. opposite the connection sleeve 7, which serves as a soldering lug, cable holder or the like. In addition, the legs 8, 9 in the assignment as embedding lugs 6 have overlapping holes 12 which improve the anchoring in the composite layer 3. It can be seen directly from the figures that the connecting sleeves 7 can also be designed as plug contact sockets or are to be equipped with such.
