Der erfindungsgemässe Verschluss ist gekennzeichnet durch einen im Querschnitt U-förmigen, mit dem Fensterflügel gelenkig verbundenen Verschlusstab, dessen Schenkelenden mit je einer Fangleiste versehen sind, die sich über mindestens einen Teil der Stablänge erstrecken und gegeneinander gerichtet sind;
Fig. 2 dasselbe Fenster in einer geöffneten Stellung,

The present invention relates to a closure for a fold-out window, preferably a roof window, with means for producing a detachable connection between the window sash and a fixed frame part.
A large number of locks have already been developed for locking pivotable windows, each of which has to meet a more or less demanding task.
Practically all of them have the feature that they have means at one or more points that allow the complete release of the connection between the pivotable window and the actual window frame to be established via the closure.
The object of the present invention is to propose a lock for a fold-out window, which allows a reliable locking of the window in its closed position and a number of open positions with simple means, a convenient separation of the closure members for the purpose of free pivoting of the window allows without this separation also unintentionally takes place, and without special measures also allowed to satisfy aesthetic demands.
The closure according to the invention is characterized by a closure rod which is U-shaped in cross-section and is articulated to the window sash, the leg ends of which are each provided with a catch bar, which extend over at least part of the rod length and are directed towards one another;
and a locking base connected to the stationary frame part with a locking member and a guide plate, the guide plate being displaceable in the longitudinal direction in the space between the legs of the locking rod, the catch strips on the locking rod being provided with recesses for the engagement of the locking member in the space between the legs of the locking rod are, and serve to hold back the guide plate in the space mentioned, and a connecting element is provided on the locking base between the locking member and the guide plate, which is dimensioned so that it can protrude between the catch bars in the space mentioned.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is explained below with reference to the drawing.
In this shows:
1 shows a schematically illustrated roof window provided with a lock according to the invention in the closed position,
2 the same window in an open position,
3 shows a partial representation of the essential parts of the window closure on a larger scale,
Fig. 4 is a section along the line IV-IV in Fig. 3,
5 shows the locking bar when it disengages from the locking element, and
6 shows a plan view of the locking element, seen in the direction VI-VI in FIG.
In FIGS. 1 and 2, 1 generally designates a schematically illustrated roof window which is pivotably arranged on a hinge joint 2 and covers an opening in a roof 4 delimited by the window frame 3. The roof window 1 can be fixed in the closed position (FIG. 1) and in various open positions, one of which is shown in FIG. 2, by a lock generally designated 5. This lock, the details of which can be seen in FIGS. 3 to 6, consists essentially of a lock rod 6 with a U-shaped cross-section, a lock deposit 7 around which the rod 6 is pivotable, and a locking element or base 8 on which the lock rod 6 can be locked.
The closure deposit 7 is firmly connected to the frame part 1 ′ or directly to the window glass 1 of the roof window 1, and the base 8 is firmly connected to the frame part YX of the window frame 3. The locking rod 6 carries an actuating handle 9 in the vicinity of its end opposite the rod support 7.
In Fig. 3, the locking rod 6 is shown in a locking position. The locking bar 6 has a basically U-shaped cross-section according to FIG. 4, the free leg ends 11, 11 each being provided with a catching strip 12, 12 directed towards the profile, which form guide means for the upper parts of the locking base 8 described below.
The locking base 8 consists of a base plate 13, a support flange 14, a locking member 15, a neck attachment 16 and a guide plate 17. The support flange 14, the locking member 15 and the neck attachment 16 are expediently formed in one piece as a turned and / or milled part, on which the base plate 13 and the guide plate 17 are screwed, riveted or welded on.
In the locking position shown in Fig. 3, the locking member 15, the neck attachment 16 and the guide plate 17 are located inside the U-shaped locking bar 6. The locking member 15, which is square in plan, engages in a recess 18 in the locking bar, which can be opened by removing corresponding sections the catch bars 12 are formed over a distance which is longer by a certain amount than the side length of the square locking member 15. In the area of the catch bars 12, 12 along its length, the locking bar 6 contains several recesses 18, 18.1 (in Figs. 3, 5 and 6 are shown each of them).
If the position of the roof window is to be changed, as shown in FIG. 5, the locking bar 6 is initially lifted upwards in the direction of arrow A. As a result, the locking member 15 leaves the recess 18 and the neck attachment 16 protrudes freely through the gap 19 (Fig. 4) between the inwardly directed arresting strips 12. The diameter of the neck attachment, which is preferably round in cross-section, is slightly smaller than the distance 19 between the opposing arresting strips 12 , 12 in order to achieve adequate lateral guidance of the locking rod 6 on the locking base 8. Thanks to the guide plate 17, however, the locking rod 6 cannot be pulled up arbitrarily, which would make it more difficult to find another recess 18.1 corresponding to the desired new window position.
The window is then adjusted by simply sliding the locking bar horizontally to the left (open) or right (close).
So that the locking bar 6 cannot be pivoted further in the direction of arrow A in the position according to FIG. 5, the guide plate 17 is slightly wider than the gap 19 between the catch strips 12, 12. Should the connection between the locking bar 6 and the base 8 be established if necessary , e.g. For the purpose of completely pivoting the window in the direction of arrow B in Fig. 2, without dismantling any part, the locking bar is pushed outward after lifting it into the sliding position with the window until the handle end of the lock passes over the base 8 and onto it Way out of engagement with the locking member 15 and the neck attachment 16.
In order to enable the locking bar to be lifted off in intermediate positions, the guide plate 17 is kept somewhat narrower than the recesses 18, 18.1 or approximately the same width as the length of one of the square sides of the locking member 15, as can be seen from FIG. The lifting of the locking rod 6 from the locking base 8 takes place, explained with reference to FIG. 5, in such a way that the ends 17 'of the guide plate 17 and 18' of the recess 18 are first placed one above the other so that the rod 6 continues in the direction of arrow A can be pivoted up. The end 17 'of the plate 17 thus emerges from the bar profile. If you now pull the rod 6 to the left again, the opposite end 17 ″ also leaves the rod profile through the recess 18 and the locking rod 6 is exposed.
In order to facilitate both the lifting of the rod 6 from the base 8 and the placement on it, the end 17 ″ of the plate 17 is closer to the neck attachment 16 than the end 17 '. However, to prevent the locking rod 6 from lifting unintentionally from the base 8 with certainty To avoid this, the end 17 'protrudes beyond the neck 16 (to the right in FIGS. 3, 5, 6) that with continued to and fro movement of the locking rod 6, the recesses 18, 18.1 always pass through one of the ends 17', 17 "to be overlapped.
It goes without saying that the outline of the locking member 15 can also be other than square. According to this, the shape of the recesses 18, 18.1 must then also be selected. There are also possible variations in the design of the shape of the support flange 14 and the neck attachment 16.
