The invention relates to a device on Behäl ter, for ventilating liquid contained in the container, in particular waste water from animal holdings polluted with organic substances.
It is known that the oxygen necessary for the aerobic decomposition of organic substances can be introduced into the liquid by means of rotating circulating aerators. Such circulating aerators have been designed as floating units for use with different liquid levels.
The invention is based on the object of mixing fresh air from outside the container effectively and in an expedient manner with the container liquid.
To achieve this object, the device mentioned at the beginning is characterized according to the invention in that a pump arranged inside the container has an air suction pipe communicating with the atmosphere and a pressure line opening out at least approximately in the area of the container bottom, the height of the pump being variable in this way. that their suction mouth for the liquid is always below a liquid level.
The invention is described in more detail using an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing.
The drawing shows the ventilation device in a cesspool in a vertical section.
The liquid manure from a cattle shed is fed via a feed line 1 to a pit 2, which has an opening 5 that can be closed with a pit cover 4 on a concrete ceiling 3.
The ventilation device includes a suction nozzle 6 inserted into the pit cover 4, the opening of which can be regulated with a cover 8 that can be adjusted by means of an adjusting screw 7. A suction pipe 9 is pivotably mounted on a bracket 11 with a bearing 10 and is connected to the suction connection 6 with a bellows 12.
A pump housing 13 of a centrifugal pump 14, in which a pump rotor 15 can be driven by an electric submersible motor 16, is flanged to the lower end of the air suction pipe 9. The structural unit consisting of the air suction pipe 9, centrifugal pump 14 and submersible motor 16 is held in the floating position by a floating body 17 in such a way that a suction opening 18 is always below a liquid level 19. A suction hole 20 is provided in the suction pipe 9 for the suction of a foam blanket lying above the liquid level 19. A pressure line 21 is connected to the pump housing 13, which opens out at the other end in the region of a pit floor 22 and is held on the pit floor 22 by a weight 23.
When the centrifugal pump 14 is running, a negative pressure is created in the pump housing 13, the liquid through the suction opening
18 can be sucked in. At the same time, however, air is sucked from the atmosphere into the pump housing 13 by way of the suction connector 6 and the suction pipe 9. This creates a liquid-air mixture in the pump housing 13, which is pumped into the liquid stored in the pit 2 via the pressure line 21. The working process therefore consists in constant circulation of the pit contents, the liquid being sucked off in the area of the liquid level 19 and pumped back into the pit contents from below. When air is sucked in at the same time, it is brought into the fluid circulation circuit on the pressure side.
A good mixing effect is given that already in the centrifugal pump
14 and in the pressure line 21 due to the turbulence a first, effective mixing of the liquid with air takes place.
Under the pressure of the liquid-air mixture, a strong vortex effect is generated in the lowest area of the pit 2, which is conducive to the finest distribution of the air and with the rise of the finely divided air, the entire contents of the pit come into close contact with the air.
The suction of the centrifugal pump 14 also acts on the foam blanket forming above the liquid level 19 in that foam is sucked into the air suction pipe 9 via the suction hole 20. Advantageously, on the one hand, the air forming part of the foam cover is brought back into the circuit and, on the other hand, the foam cover is broken down.
The gases released during the pasteurization process rise into the free space above the liquid level 19 and escape from this via a gas discharge line 24. In order to avoid undesirable odor emissions, the gas discharge line 24 can be connected to an earth filter, not shown.
With the aeration of the liquid, a foam blanket forms above the liquid level 19. To keep the gas discharge line 24 free for gas to escape. a whisk 25 is provided, in which an electric motor 26 drives a plate 28 in rotation within a cylinder 27. The rotating plate 28 holds the foam cover back within the cylinder 27 so that the rising gas can flow between the plate 28 and a ring 29 to the gas discharge line 24.
The device is particularly suitable for the sanitation and decontamination of liquid manure which arises from livestock and is to be stored in a pit. In this application, the adaptability to the constantly changing liquid level is particularly important, with the pump always having the most appropriate position with regard to the air and liquid intake and the discharge of the air / liquid mixture, regardless of the liquid level.
