Fig. la einen ersten Behälter ausschnittweise in Draufsicht,
Fig. Ib einen zweiten Behälter in ähnlicher Darstellungsweise,
Fig. 3 einen dritten Behälter in ähnlicher Darstellungsweise wie in Fig. 2,jedoch in kleinerem Massstabe,
The invention relates to a container with a closure membrane which has a tear-off device which is separate from the closure membrane and which has a fastening part connected to the closure membrane and a free actuation part, which container is characterized in that the tear-off device is a tear-off tab made of flat material which is attached to a Side is completely coated with a heat-sealable plastic.
Such a tear-off tab can be opened in the simplest way, e.g. from an endless strip coated on one side with a heat-sealing layer, and apply it with the highest working speed, reliability, simplicity and constant quality using known heat-sealing devices.
The heat-sealing layer also serves to facilitate access during actuation. With such a tear-off tab, the sealing membrane can be removed in one piece without leaving any residue and without contact. In one embodiment, it is of great advantage if the actuating part of the tear-off tab has an element that facilitates handling, preferably a sheet-like structure that lies flat against the actuating part of the tear-off tab. Another embodiment has the advantage that, in order to facilitate handling, the free end section of the actuating part of the tear-off tab is folded back on itself, the overlapping sections of the folded-back end section preferably forming a loop for receiving a handle part provided with an opening.
Exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings. Show it:
Fig. La shows a section of a first container in plan view,
Fig. Ib a second container in a similar representation,
2 shows a longitudinal section along the line II-II of FIG. 1 a on a larger scale, the container having a protective cover,
3 shows a third container in a manner similar to that in FIG. 2, but on a smaller scale,
4 shows a fourth container in a manner similar to FIG. 3, but without a protective cover,
5 shows a fifth container in a manner similar to that in FIGS. 4 and 4
6 shows a sixth container in a manner similar to that in FIG. 3.
The container shown in Figures la and 2 has a cylindrical body 5, the upper opening of which is closed by a sealing membrane 1, e.g. made of a metal foil, is closed; this is attached to a lug 13 which is secured with a fastening ring 3, e.g. made of sheet metal, connected with a circular plan. The container body 5 receives the filling material, not shown, and is e.g. made of cardboard. A separate tear-off device in the form of a tear-off tab 7, 9, which has a free actuating part 7 and a fastening part 9, is fastened to the closure membrane 1, specifically by heat sealing. Here, as in all other embodiments, the tear-off tab 7, 9 is made from a flat material which is completely coated on one side with a heat-sealable plastic.
In the same way, a guarantee strip 10 is attached to the cylindrical inner wall of the fastening ring 3 (FIG. 2), which is integrally connected to the tear-off tab 7, 9 on the side of the tear-off tab 7, 9 facing away from the actuating part 7. It is particularly important to note that in the container shown in FIG 7, 9 runs radially to the closure membrane 1. The outer wall of the fastening ring rests against the inner wall of the container mouth, whereas a second upper bead of the end face of the container body 5 rests.
In this way, a good form fit and a seal that meets all requirements can be achieved between the container body 5 and the fastening ring 3.
The second container shown in FIG. 1b differs from the first container only in that the fastening part 9a of the tear-off tab 7a, 9a widens towards its outer end.
In the variant shown in phantom in FIG. 1 a, however, the width of the fastening part of the tear-off tab 7, 9 decreases towards the outside, whereby the fastening part 9 is given a trapezoidal outline.
As shown in Fig. 2, the sealing membrane 1 of the first container has a bowl-like, recessed central part, which, as shown in broken lines, can also be curved, and is covered on the underside with a thin layer 15, e.g. made of heat-sealable plastic, coated. This serves to fasten the outer edge section of the sealing membrane 1 to the fastening ring 3, specifically along the entire upper apex line 17 of the attachment 13. This fastening is practically linear. The fastening part 9 of the tear-off tab 7, 9 is flatly connected to the same outer edge section by means of its heat-sealing layer 19. The difference in the size of the mounting surfaces is very important for the correct functioning, which is explained in more detail below.
At the free end of the actuating part of the tear-off tab 7, 9 of the first container, an element 20 facilitating actuation is provided in the form of a sheet such as e.g.
a paper or fabric strip, attached, namely by means of the same heat-sealing layer 19. The latter is preferably made of the same material as the layer 15 of the sealing membrane 1. Conveniently, the entire tear-off tab 7, 9 and possibly also the guarantee strip 10 is made of the same material as the Closure membrane 1. The sheet-like structure 20 is advantageously dimensioned in such a way that it does not protrude beyond the edges of the actuating part 7 of the tear-off tab 7, 9. It should also be noted that the free end face 14 of the extension 13 is located on the side of the sealing membrane 1 facing away from the filling material.
In the third container in FIG. 3, the guarantee strip is missing, and the sealing membrane 101 is flat, if one disregards a coaxially arranged, convex ring bead 102. The main difference compared to the otherwise similar, first container is that the outer edge section of the sealing membrane 101 is not connected to the upper apex line but to the lower apex line 117 of the attachment 113 by means of its heat-sealing layer 115. This method of fastening has a particular advantage, which will be discussed in more detail below. It should only be mentioned here that the two heat-sealing layers 115, 119 face each other in this container, whereby the fastening of the fastening part 109 of the tear-off tab 107, 109 to the sealing membrane 101 is facilitated and / or the bond strength is increased.
The heat-sealing layer 115 can, however, also be omitted.
Furthermore, FIG. 3 shows that the ring bead 102, in addition to its known function, also fulfills an additional function here in that it holds the actuating section 107 in a raised position, thereby making it easier to grasp the tear-off tab 107, 109.
In the fourth container, shown in Fig. 4, the extension 213 designed as a lower beaded edge is squeezed and forms an angle a with the container wall, which is preferably 45 ". Accordingly, the closure membrane 201 is shaped like a truncated cone, with an outer edge section in the direction of the The inside of the container is bevelled, e.g.
by punch flanging. With the plane of the closure membrane 201, it forms an angle ss which is preferably as large as the angle a. In this way, it is achieved that the sealing membrane 201 can be connected to the outer end section of the sealing membrane 201 along the entire apex line 217 of the squeezed flange edge 213.
As with the first and second containers, this leads to a practically linear fastening. Here, too, it should be pointed out that the free end face 214 of the flanged edge 213 is on the side of the closure membrane 201 facing away from the inside of the container and that the heat-sealing layers 215, 219 used to fasten the fastening section 209 face each other.
The fifth container shown in FIG. 5 differs from those of FIGS. 2 and 3 in that the flanged edge 313 of the fastening ring 303 forming the attachment is flanged outwards with respect to the inside of the container and that the outer edge section of the sealing membrane 301 is flanged outwards beaded beaded rim 313 is rolled up, which represents the fastening part of the fastening ring 303. During this rolling up, a narrow outer end section of the fastening section 309 of the tear-off tab 307, 309 has been clamped between the beaded edge and the sealing membrane 301. The fastening section 309 is otherwise flatly connected to the sealing membrane 301 in a similar manner as in the case of the containers described above, but the heat-sealing layer of the sealing membrane 301 is missing here.
It should also be noted that the rolled-up outer circumferential section of the sealing membrane 301 rests practically along a closed circumferential line 316 on the flanged edge 313.
In this way it is achieved that the free end face 314 is not in contact with the gases and vapors located in the interior of the container, despite the reversed direction of curling of the curling edge 313.
In the sixth container in FIG. 6, the tear-off tab 407, 409 is attached to the sealing membrane 401 by heat sealing in a similar manner as in the third container. In contrast to the latter, the sealing membrane does not need a fastening ring to be attached to the container. The closure membrane has on its outer circumference an outwardly protruding tube 403 which rests against the inside of the container body 405. An annular flange protrudes outward from the outer edge of the tube 403 and is attached to the end wall of the container body 405 by means of a
Binder layer 415 is attached.
Despite the in Fig. 6 from
Exaggerated wall thickness of the container body 405 for reasons of illustration, it can be seen that the length of the fastening surface between the fastening section 409 of the tear-off tab 407, 209 with the sealing membrane 401 is significantly greater than the length of the binder layer 415, both
Lengths measured in the radial direction of FIG. 6.
If the user wants to open the container described above, he only needs to use the exposed actuating part 7,
107, 207, 307, 407 of the tear-off tab 7, 9; 107, 109; 207, 209; 307, 309; 407, 409 to pull, preferably in one jerk, whereupon the closure membrane 1, la, 101,201, 301, 401 practically residue-free, in one piece and without contact from the
Container is pulled off. The sealed tear-off tab can also be connected to the closure membrane in another way, e.g. by a rivet. The tear-off tab, the guarantee strip, the element facilitating the handling and the flange-like approach can also be arranged and configured differently than is shown in the drawings. The latter can for example be made in one piece with the container body.
The sealing membrane can also be glued directly onto an end face of the container body. The strip 20 facilitating handling can also be attached to the top of the actuating part 7 or to both sides thereof. In the two last-mentioned cases, it is even possible to provide it with a conspicuous color and / or an advertising print to enhance the contrast. The strip 20 can also consist of the same material as the tear-off tab.
To do this, it is best to fold the free end of your confirmation part back onto itself and connect the overlapping sections to one another (FIGS. 4 and 5). If their heat-sealing layers point outwards (FIG. 5) and are colored conspicuously, if necessary, the actuation is facilitated in a particularly effective manner. In the opposite case (FIG. 4) the heat-sealing layer lends itself to the connection of the overlapping sections. A handle part provided with an opening, e.g. a ring, can be inserted (Fig. 4). Materials are also particularly suitable for the tear-off tab, such as Tapes made of textile material or glass fiber reinforced plastic, as they are already on the market for various other purposes.
When sealing such tear-off tabs made of poorly heat-conducting material, the required heat is preferably applied from below, i.e. in the direction indicated by an arrow in FIG. 5.
Finally, the container opening and container can also have a plan that deviates from the circular plan, e.g. have an oval or rectangular plan.
