Abstract

The watch casing (2) has an exterior shape which is of non-circular form. It has a rim (5) whose exterior and interior walls are parallel to the exterior contour of the housing, a watch glass (4) of corresponding shape having an edge held between a wall (9) of the watch casing and the rim (5) and a back cover (2) which is screwed over a circular opening in the casing (2). The edge of the watch glass surrounds a part of the lateral exterior surface of the housing, the rim itself surrounds the glass edge, and impervious joint (1) (7) being arranged to seal the function between the gass edge and the casing, similarly between the cover and the casing.
