1,3-Diaminobenzol-6-sulfonsäure, 1,4-Diaminobenzol-6-sulfonsäure, I ,3-Diamino4-chlorbenzol4-sulfonsäure, 1 ,3-Diamino4-methoxybenzol-6-sulfonsäure 1 ,3-Diamino4-methylbenzol-6-sulfonsäure, 1 ,4-Diaminobenzol-2,5disulfonsäure, I ,4-Diaminobenzol-2,6-disulfonsäure, 1,3-Diaminobenzol4,6-disulfonsäure.
Chlor- oder Bromacetylchlorid oder -bromid, Chloracetanhydrid, Acrylchlorid, B-Chloroder -Brompropionylchlorid, a,B-Dichlor- oder -Dibrompropionylchlorid oder -bromid, a-Chlor- oder -Bromacrylchlorid, z. B. in wässerigem Medium in Gegenwart säurebindender Mittel herstellen.

**WARNUNG** Ende DESC Feld konnte Anfang CLMS uberlappen**.
The present invention relates to new, valuable monoazo compounds of the general formula
EMI1.1
where Y1 and Y3 each represent a hydrogen atom or a group -NR-Z, Y2 a hydrogen atom, a group -NR-Z or a sulfonic acid group, Z and X each an aliphatic fiber-reactive radical with two or three carbon atoms and R a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group wherein the naphthalene nucleus contains a single group -NR-Z, and Z and X each have three carbon atoms when Y2 is not a sulfonic acid group.
Of particular interest are compounds of the formula (1) in which one of the symbols Yl, Y2 and Y3, in particular Y or Y2, is an -NR-Z group and each of the other two is a hydrogen atom, R is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and Z and X have the meanings given above.
The -NH-X group is preferably in the p-position to the azo group or to the sulfonic acid group. The benzene radical can contain other substituents, such as. B. halogen atoms, low molecular weight alkyl or alkoxy groups or Sul fonsäuregruppen.
Among the possible fiber-reactive radicals Z and X are halogenated acrylic radicals and halogenated, especially dihalogenated propionyl radicals, and among these especially the bromine-containing radicals, especially bromoacrylic radicals, such as the a-bromoacrylic radical, and the dibromopropionyl radicals, such as the a, s-dibromopropionyl radical of Importance. Preference is given to compounds of the formula (1) in which Z and X are identical radicals.
The new monoazo compounds can be prepared by acylation, by coupling or, if they have an α-bromoacrylic group as substituents X and / or Z, likewise by splitting off hydrogen bromide. So you can, for example, diazo compounds from aromatic amines of the formula
EMI1.2
with coupling components of the formula
EMI1.3
unite, the meaning of the various symbols resulting from the formula (1) explained above. This also applies to all formulas listed below.
The coupling components of the formula (3) used as starting materials for the present process can be prepared by methods known per se, eg. B. by monoacylation of 2-, 3- or 4-amino-8-hydroxynaphthalene-6-sulfonic acid or 2-amino-8-hydroxynaphthalene-3,6-disulfonic acid with anhydrides or halides of carboxylic acids, the fiber-reactive acyl radicals of the above contain described type, produce in a known manner. Those in which Z and / or X is an α-bromoacryl group can also be prepared from the corresponding α, B-dibromopropionylamino-8-hydroxynaphthalenesulfonic acid by splitting off hydrogen bromide.
As coupling components of the formula (3), for example, the following can be considered: 2-α-chloroacrylamino-8-hydroxynaphthalene-6-sulfonic acid, 2-, 3- or 4-α, β-dibromopropionylamino-hydroxynaphthalene-4-sulfonic acid, 2; + or 4- a-bromoacrylamino-8-hydroxynaphthalene6-sulfonic acid, 2-,
3 or 4a-bromoacryl-N-methylamino-8-hydroxynaphthalene-4-sulfonic acid, 2-chloro- (or bromo-) acetylamino-8-hydroxynaphthalene-3,6-disulfonic acid, 2-acrylamino-8-hydroxynaphthalene-3,6-disulfonic acid, 2Xa, β-dichloro- or -dibromopropionylaminots- hydroxynaphthalene-3,6-disulfonic acid, 24α-bromoacrylaminoS8-hydroxynaphthalene-3,6-disulfonic acid.
The diazo components of the formula (2) are also prepared according to methods known per se, for. B. by monoacylation of aminobenzene-2-sulfonic acids, which also contain a second amino group and optionally other substituents, with halides or anhydrides of suitable carboxylic acids which contain a fiber-reactive radical, e.g. B. those mentioned below. The aminobenzene-2-sulfonic acids which can be used to prepare the diazo components of the formula (2) include:
1,3-diaminobenzene-6-sulfonic acid, 1,4-diaminobenzene-6-sulfonic acid, 1,3-diamino4-chlorobenzene-sulfonic acid, 1,3-diamino4-methoxybenzene-6-sulfonic acid 1,3-diamino4-methylbenzene-6 sulfonic acid, 1,4-diaminobenzene-2,5-disulfonic acid, 1,4-diaminobenzene-2,6-disulfonic acid, 1,3-diaminobenzene-4,6-disulfonic acid.
As diazo components which are to be combined with the coupling components of the formula (3), for. B. diazo compounds of the following aminobenzenesulfonic acids into consideration: 4- or SCchloro- or bromoacetylamino-2-aminobenzene-1sulfonic acid, 4 or 5-acrylamino-2-aminobenzene-1-sulfonic acid, 4- or 5Lss-chloro- or -bromopropionylamino-2-aminobenzene -1-sulfonic acid, 4 or Sa, β-dichloro- or dibromopropionylamino-2aminobenzene-1-sulfonic acid, 4 or Sa-chloro- or -bromo-acrylamino-2-aminobenzene-1-sulfonic acid.
These amines can be obtained by conventional methods, e.g. B.
diazotize with the help of sodium nitrite and mineral acid and diazotize the resulting diazo compounds with the coupling components of the formula (3) mentioned in neutral to alkaline, e.g. B. sodium carbonate alkaline, aqueous medium.
The compounds of the formula (1) can also be obtained by acylating the azo compounds of the formula obtained by methods known per se
EMI2.1
wherein Y1, Y2 and Y3 have the same meaning as in formula (1), or in particular of the formula
EMI2.2
wherein Y1, and Y3, each a hydrogen atom or an amino group, Y2, a hydrogen atom, an amino or sulfonic acid group, wherein the naphthalene nucleus contains a single amino group, and the benzene radical can contain further substituents, by means of halides or anhydrides, the above named acyl radicals corresponding aliphatic carboxylic acids, such as. B.
Chlorine or bromoacetyl chloride or bromide, chloroacetic anhydride, acrylic chloride, B-chlorine or -bromopropionyl chloride, α, B-dichloro- or -dibromopropionyl chloride or bromide, α-chloro- or -bromo-acrylic chloride, e.g. B. produce in an aqueous medium in the presence of acid-binding agents. The compounds of the formula (1) in which X and Z each represent the same acyl group can also be prepared by diacylating the compounds of the formula obtained by conventional methods
EMI2.3
wherein Y1 ,, Y2 and Y3, have the same meanings as in formula (5), by means of the halides or anhydrides mentioned, for. B. in an aqueous medium, in the presence of acid-binding agents.
The α-bromoacrylic derivatives of the formula (1) can also be prepared from the corresponding α, fr-dibromopropionyl compounds by splitting off hydrogen bromide. This elimination of hydrogen halide takes place according to conventional methods, eg. B. by treatment with alkali, preferably at low temperature.
Since the process variant described first uses diazo and coupling components which have already been acylated in a fiber-reactive manner, it is possible here to obtain compounds of the general formula (1) which have two different fiber-reactive radicals X and Z. Since, in particular, the elimination of hydrogen bromine described last can be carried out by means of alkali before coupling, one obtains z. B. Compounds of the general formula (1) in which X is an α, B-dibromopropionyl radical and Z is an α-bromoacrylic radical, and vice versa.
The compounds of the formula (1) obtained by the present process and its modification are new.
They make excellent dyes and are suitable for dyeing and printing a wide variety of materials, eg. B.
of animal origin, such as leather, silk and especially wool, and various synthetic fibers, e.g. B. from super polyamides and super polyurethanes. They are particularly suitable for dyeing from neutral to acidic media. The dyeings obtained in this way on wool are extremely fast to light, kneading, perspiration and washing.
The new dyes are also suitable for dyeing and printing cellulosic materials such as cotton and regenerated cellulose fibers, whereby they are heat-treated in the presence of alkali, e.g. B. in the presence of sodium (hydrogen) carbonate, sodium hydroxide or trisodium phosphate. They are particularly suitable for dyeing by the so-called cold pad process.
Compared to the closest comparable previously known dyes, the dyes obtained according to the invention are characterized by generally better wet fastness properties and, in particular, better behavior in the presence of leveling agents, in particular in the presence of polyglycol ether derivatives which contain on average at least 10 -CH2-CHrO groups and are derived from primary monoamines which contain an aliphatic hydrocarbon radical having at least 20 carbon atoms.
In the following examples, unless otherwise stated, parts are parts by weight, percentages are percentages by weight, and temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.
example 1
40.2 parts of 4 {a, ss-dibromopropionylaminoSl-amino-benzene-2-sulfonic acid are dissolved in 600 parts of water with the addition of sodium carbonate, 30 parts of 300 / c hydrochloric acid are added at 0 to 5 and 25 parts by volume of 4N sodium nitrite solution are diazotized The Congo-acid diazo suspension is then added to a solution of 57.2 2Xa, ss-dibromopropionylamino-hydroxynaphthalene-3,6-disulfonic acid and 40 parts of sodium acetate in 400 parts of water. After coupling is complete, the dye is adjusted to pH 12 by adding 10N sodium hydroxide solution, the temperature being kept between 10 and 15 by adding ice.
After about 15 minutes the mixture is neutralized to pH 7.0 with hydrochloric acid, the dye is precipitated by adding sodium chloride, filtered and dried in vacuo at 70 to 80 ".
The dye thus obtained, the free acid of the formula
EMI2.4
corresponds, dyes wool in real bluish red tones.
If 4Xa, ß-dibromopropionylamino-nopl-aminobenzene-2-sulfonic acid is used instead of 4Xa, a dye is also obtained which dyes wool in real orange tones.
Example 2
32.1 parts of 4Xa-bromoacrylaminoSl-aminobenzene-2-sulfonic acid are dissolved in 600 parts of water with the addition of sodium carbonate; at 0 to 5 with 30 parts of 30% hydrochloric acid and diazotized with 25 parts by volume of 4N sodium nitrite solution. The Congo-acid diazo suspension is then added to a solution of 48.5 parts of 2Xa-bromoacrylaminop8-hydroxynaphthalene-3,6-disulfonic acid and 40 parts of sodium acetate in 400 parts of water. After the coupling has ended, the dye is deposited by adding sodium dichloride, filtered and dried in vacuo at 70 to 80. The dye thus obtained is identical to that which is described in Example 1, paragraph 1.
If, instead of 4a-bromoacrylaminoY1-aminobenzene-2-sulfonic acid, 5 (a-bromoacrylamino> 1-aminobenzene-2-sulfonic acid) is used, a dye is obtained which is identical to that used in Example 1, paragraph 2, is described.
From the diazo components mentioned in column I, dyestuffs which dye wool in the shades given in column 111 are obtained according to the details of Example 1 by coupling with the coupling components given in column 11.
Instead of the α, β-dibromopropionyl derivatives mentioned in columns I and 11, it is also possible to use the corresponding α-bromoacrylic derivatives, the procedure being as in Example 2 being followed.

If, in the 1st, 8th, 10th to 12th and 14th to 22nd example of the table, instead of the compounds mentioned in column 11, the corresponding N-methyl derivatives are used as coupling components, dyes are obtained which produce dyeings with similar shades on wool as shown in column III of the examples mentioned above.
Example 3
5.18 parts of the dye of the formula
EMI4.1
are neutralized with sodium carbonate in 300 parts of water. At room temperature, a solution of 5.7 parts of α, β-dibromopropionyl chloride in 30 parts of acetone is added dropwise to the solution of the dye, the pH being ensured by simultaneous dropwise addition of an aqueous sodium carbonate solution -The value of the solution is between 7 and 8.
After the two amino groups have been completely acylated, the dye is completely precipitated with sodium chloride and dried at 50 to 60 in vacuo. The dye dyes wool in scarlet shades.
Staining instructions
2 parts of the dye obtainable in Example 1 are dissolved in 4000 parts of water, and 10 parts of crystallized material are used
Sodium sulfate and goes well wetter with 100 parts
Wool at 40 to 50 in the dye bath thus obtained. Then 2 parts of 40% acetic acid are added, the mixture is brought to the boil within 1/2 hour and colored at the boil for 3/4 hours. Finally, the wool is rinsed with cold water and dried. The wool is dyed in washfast red tones with good light fastness
