Fig. 1 eine perspektivische Ansicht eines Ausführungsbeispieles,
Fig. 2 eine Vorderansicht zu Fig. 1,
Fig. 3 eine Seitenansicht zu den Fig. 1 und 2,

The present invention is characterized in that a protruding blade with a cutting edge and a point is fixedly arranged in a handle in a cutting plane, that with a small distance between the blade tip and a counter bearing surface oriented transversely to the cutting plane of a counter bearing firmly connected to the handle is arranged that the cutting edge intersects the counter bearing surface at an acute angle, and that the counter bearing surface is a plane curved towards the blade tip.
The invention is illustrated by way of example with the aid of the accompanying schematic drawing. Show it:
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of an embodiment,
FIG. 2 is a front view of FIG. 1,
3 shows a side view of FIGS. 1 and 2,
Fig. 4 is a view from behind of the embodiment shown in Figs. 1 to 3,
FIGS. 5 and 6 show a functional illustration of the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 4.
A handle 1 is provided with a groove 2 which forms part of a receiving bearing for a blade 3. The blade 3 is a body with four cutting edges 31, 32, 33 and 34 that is symmetrical to its longitudinal and transverse axes. It has a centering bore 4 at the intersection of its line of symmetry. Two cutting edges 31, 32 or 33 or 34 intersect in the blade tip 35 or 36. The parallel long sides of the blade 3 rest against the flanks 5 of the groove 2, so that the blade 3 is secured against lateral displacement. The blade 3 lies with one of its broad sides on the groove base. The blade 3 projects beyond the upper end face 6 of the handle 1.
A counter bearing 8 is releasably fastened to the handle 1 by means of a screw 7. The counter bearing 8 has a counter bearing head 9 with a counter bearing surface 10 and a block 11. The inner surface of the block 11 rests against the other broad side of the blade 3 and presses it against the groove base when the screw 7 is tightened. Since the screw 7 is guided through the centering hole 4 without play, when the cutting edges 31 and 32 are worn, the blade 3 can only be rotated 180 about the screw 7, whereupon the cutting edges 33 and 34 are exactly in that position was previously occupied by the cutting edges 31 and 32. The counter bearing surface 10 is curved against the blade tip 35 and forms an acute angle with the cutting edges 31 and 32, respectively.
The counter bearing surface 10 does not necessarily have to be curved. It can be flat or consist of two planes intersecting at an obtuse angle, the cutting edge of which lies opposite the blade tip. The distance between the blade tip 35 and the counter bearing surface 10 is 0.2X.8, preferably approximately 0.5 mm.
The mode of operation is described below with reference to FIGS. 3, 5 and 6. An envelope 12 to be opened is pushed with the beginning of a longitudinal edge between the blade tip 35 and the counter bearing surface 10 (arrow Z). This process does not cut the envelope paper. The letter is then pivoted slightly against the longitudinal axis of the blade 3 and pulled past the blade 3 in the direction of the arrow Z ', the latter cutting through the envelope paper and opening the envelope.
