Abstract

Pesticide (insecticide, nematocide) mixtures contain an organothiophosphorus cpd. of formula (I): (where R is H, alkyl, substd. alkyl, phenyl (opt. substd. by alkyl, phenyl or halogen) or carbethoxyalkyl; R1 is alkyl; X is O or S; n is 0 or 1; and one of Y and Z is S and the other is O or S), linoleic and/or linolenic acid in an amt. sufficient to deodorize (I), and, opt. a carrier. The unpleasant odour of (I) is counteracted by linole(n)ic acid (which may be used in the form of a drying oil, e.g. linseed or tung oil, containing linole(n)ic acid) without adversely affecting the insecticidal activity; in certain cases the pesticidal activity is even enhanced or prolonged.
