For the production of side walls in trucks, it has proven to be very useful to use profile elements. A number of such profile elements are already known, all of which have a more or less sophisticated system for mutual anchoring and support. It is important to connect the profile elements with their longitudinal edges specially designed for this purpose in such a way that the resulting wall is completely smooth and without recesses on one side serving as the inner wall, but it should be dent-resistant and the profiles light to be connected.
Up to now, you have either been able to achieve a nice transition between two profile elements, but had assembly difficulties, or you could fit the profile elements together well and easily while the connection was not particularly tight and tight. In addition, previous drop sides made up of profile elements had the disadvantage that they were not very dent-resistant. Heavy cargo, such as stone blocks and the like, often caused the side walls and profile connections to bend. After an unpublished proposal, attempts were made to remedy this lack of rigidity by using special additional profiles with special cross-sections that opposed the buckling.
However, this is also only an imperfect solution because, firstly, it is material-intensive and, secondly, the additional stiffening does not take place at the point where two profiles are connected, but outside.
The present invention had set itself the task of eliminating the shortcomings in the previously known drop sides assembled from profile elements. It relates to a kit of at least two extruded profile elements for the production of a tight container wall, which also has a shoulder-free inner surface at the connection points of the profile elements, each profile element having a smooth and flat inner surface intended to form the inside of the container.
To achieve the above object, the kit according to the invention is characterized in that the profile elements are designed so that at the longitudinal edge at which two profile elements are to adjoin each other, one profile element has a rib arched away from the plane of the inner surface and its free end from this Inner surface plane has a spacing approximately corresponding to the wall thickness of the profile elements, and the other profile element has a bead that fits into the opening of the arched rib and one that overlaps the arched rib and is supported on the first profile element and at its free end with a corresponding opposing tooth has matching teeth on the outside of the first profile element,
wherein this boom for support on the first profile element between its free, provided with the toothing end and the point supported on the arched rib has a bending preventing support rib, that the distance of the point of the boom furthest from the inner surface is at least that Double the curvature of the arched rib is that the support rib is arranged at the end of the boom provided with the toothing and extends away from this at an acute angle, and that on the second profile element directly next to the point at which the support rib comes to rest, a locking cam for the support rib is attached.
A sealing element can expediently be arranged in the curved rib. For easier assembly, a web which serves as an assembly aid and protrudes from the fixed leg of the boom, which does not touch the arched rib in the assembled state, can also be provided. Advantageous cross-sectional shapes for the boom are trapezoid, rectangle, rectangle with rounded corners, circular arcs and elliptical arcs or oval.
With this kit according to the invention, a con strulstive simplification of a side wall constructed from profile elements is possible, and it is possible to combine the functions of a stiffening profile and those of the connecting parts of two profile elements.
Four exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. It show in the drawing:
1 shows a detail from a kit according to the invention on the connecting piece of two profile elements, the boom having a trapezoidal cross section,
Fig. 2 to 4 the same section, but with different cross-sectional shapes of the boom.
The profile element 1 shown in Fig. 1 has on its upper longitudinal edge, which adjoins the lower longitudinal edge of the profile element 2, a rib lk arched away from the plane of the inner surface, the free end 1c of which corresponds approximately to the wall thickness 4 of the profile element from this inner surface plane Has distance. The profile element 2 has at its lower end a bead 2d that fits into the opening of the arched rib 1k and, in addition, an arm 2e with a trapezoidal cross-section that extends over the arched rib 1k and is supported on the profile element 1.
The trapezoidal height, i.e. H. From the stand of the parallel to the inner surface plane section of the boom of the latter is a little more than twice as large as the curvature of the arched rib lk. This boom is provided at its free end with a tooth 2f which, as can be seen from the drawing, is imposed with the tooth 1g of the first profile element 1. To support the boom 2e on the profile element 1, the support rib 2h is used, which protrudes from the cantilever leg carrying the tooth at an acute angle and which is given a lateral hold by a securing cam li, so that bending of the whole boom 2e is prevented; on the contrary, with increasing load by the cargo, a more firm mutual tensioning of the connection point is brought about.
In the space delimited by the arched rib 1k and the bead 2d that fits into the opening, a sealing element 6 can be attached, which serves to make the wall consisting of the profile elements absolutely watertight.
To facilitate the assembly of two profile elements, the web 21 protruding from the fixed leg of the boom 2e in its interior serves. It only touches the outer surface of the arched rib 1k during assembly and then no longer rests on it.
If the kit is loaded in the direction of arrow 7, as is the case when the kit has been used for the production of a load platform, then the acting force is transferred to the support rib 2h and causes an even tighter bracing of the individual parts of the kit . Because of the special shape of the boom 2e, this results in an excellent bulge stiffness, without additional stiffening profiles having to be provided.
In Figs. 2 to 4 other favorable cross-sectional shapes for the boom are shown. Because of the full applicability of the above description to these figures as well, the reference numbers therein were only to be understood under the point of the boom furthest from the inner surface, the point at which a tangent parallel to the inner surface contacts the boom center part. For the other figures this is not a point, but the whole middle part of the boom anyway.
