The invention relates to a method and a device for processing plastic waste in the form of container-shaped waste containers to be labeled according to their material composition, and for recovering them into further processable materials. The problem of waste disposal is becoming more and more precarious for all those involved in this matter, first and foremost for the authorities. Particularly difficult is the fact that plastic waste is becoming more and more prevalent, and it is impossible to foresee the extent to which this waste will increase in households and in industrial plants. The question of how to dispose of these waste plastics has now become not only urgent, but downright vital.
The destruction by incineration of such waste, which was tackled years ago, remained inadequate, since various materials of this type are difficult to burn and this raises a further problem of harmful air pollution.
The idea of recycling plastic waste is not new. The difficulty in recycling plastic waste is that it first has to be separated from one another, as it cannot be reprocessed in an overall mixture, i.e. it cannot be sprayed. The plastics, e.g. B. the most common plastic polystyrene has completely different properties than polyvinyl chloride or such as polyethylene or the like. You first have to separate the plastics according to their substance once, and this separation by hand causes a lot of time.
In addition, this laborious activity makes the newly obtained material considerably more expensive. The solution to the question of the processing of plastic waste that has been raised provides that this is done with a minimum of manual labor or even fully automatically.
Attempts have already been made to create a device by means of which a method can be carried out in which plastic waste of the most varied types are thrown into conventional waste containers in order to be able to separate them properly and recover them to a material. This already happens in the so-called flotation process, in which the waste is first crushed, then passed through various cleaning baths and at the same time diverted into separating tubs. The separation is inadequate in this procedure, so that ultimately no uniform, homogeneous material could be produced for reuse and further processing.
The object of the invention is to develop a method, while maintaining the basic principle of a separation work carried out up to now, in which an exact separation of the plastic waste becomes possible, whereby a previous comminution of the waste is dispensed with. At the end of the recycling process, however, the individual types of plastic should be precisely separated from one another according to their substance, because trouble-free, clean and economical further processing can only be made possible under this condition.
The solution to this problem is primarily based on the fact that the individual waste containers, i.e. bottles, cups or similar containers, are labeled depending on the type of their specific material substance.
In order to achieve this goal, the invention is based on a method for processing plastic waste in the form of container-shaped waste containers to be labeled according to their material composition and for recovery into further processable materials, which is characterized in that the empty waste containers are collected and emptied into a washing machine, cleaned there, transferred to a conveyor belt, sorted out there and fed to a shredding machine via separate conveyor belts, then fed into the hopper of a plastics processing machine as granules via collecting containers after adding paint.
The sorting out of the waste container products of different substances can be done in that plastic attachments or optical symbols are molded onto the circumference of the different waste containers for detection and separation.
The symbols can be shaped as rings or as elongated notches. The optical symbols, on the other hand, can be applied to the containers as color elements.
The process steps can be carried out by a device unit, which is characterized in that an automatic washing machine and a horizontal collecting conveyor belt are provided for receiving and subsequent reading of the waste containers to be labeled according to their material composition, to which conveyor belts are assigned in the same number as the material groups to be sorted out A shredding machine each for the immediate reception and shredding of the waste containers and a collecting container for the waste granulate are provided and a plastics processing machine is connected downstream of these containers.
Details of the invention are explained in more detail using a preferred exemplary embodiment in the accompanying drawing and in the description below. Show it:
Fig. 1 waste bottles with the symbols in the form of one, two or three horizontal rings,
Fig. 2 waste bottles with the symbols in the form of one, two or three vertical grooves,
Fig. 3 cups with the identification of Fig. 1, and
4 shows a schematic representation of the device units for further processing the waste products according to FIGS. 1-3.
The waste bottles 1-2 or la, 1b and 1c or the waste beakers 4-6 are used to identify them with the symbols of their material substance during the original production with molded, optically easily perceptible symbols 7, 8 or 9 or 10, 11 and 12 and introduced as a whole into a washing machine 13 for systematic, thorough cleaning. The washing machine 13 is followed by three conveyor belts 14, 15 and 16 which run in the direction of the arrow 17.
Corresponding to the aforementioned symbols 7, 8 and 9 or 10-12 of the containers, the conveyor belts 14-16 should each receive one of these designated groups of waste containers. This can be done by manual selection after the containers 1-3, etc. emerge from the washing machine 13 or that the sorting is carried out mechanically.
At the end of the conveyor belts 14, 15 and 16, the waste containers are each picked up by a comminuting device 18 or a mill and ground to granulate 19, optionally with the addition of dyes. The granules are caught in a container 20 and the funnel 21 z. B. a plastic injection molding machine 22 of known type passed.
There are no limits to the design, shape, color, etc. of the end product 23.
The recovery of the plastics in the manner described above is also of particular economic importance, because nothing is destroyed here, but reclaimed for further processing and given a new purpose. This can be done two or more times per se, e.g. B. in such a way that you may add new material to the ground, recovered granulate to achieve a good, sprayable mixture.
