The invention relates to a machine for Stumpfschweis sen of workpieces by melting, which has a housing with a movable and an immovable clamp for weldments arranged thereon, a hydraulic mechanism controlled by a control slide with a piston and devices for the automatic control of the Ab melting speed, the start of the upsetting process and the upsetting path with their own adjusting mechanisms.
A disadvantage of the known machines of this type is that each device for the automatic control of the melting rate, the start of the upsetting process and the upsetting path is provided with its own adjusting mechanism. This requires the creation of special complicated additional devices that allow the work of the said adjusting mechanisms acting on one and the same piston of the control slide to be coordinated.
In addition, the adjusting mechanisms of the three mentioned
Devices for automatic control are not interchanged due to the differences in the construction of the control slide unterein other.
The purpose of the invention is to avoid the deficiencies mentioned.
The invention is based on the object of creating a machine for butt welding by melting, in which the adjusting mechanisms of the devices for automatic control of the melting rate, the start of the upsetting process and the upsetting path are designed in the form of a unitary unit.
This object is achieved in the machine according to the invention for butt welding workpieces by melting them off in that the adjusting mechanisms are rigidly assembled with one of the clamps of the machine to form a unit which has a rod and drive means for its longitudinal displacement and a limiter for the longitudinal displacement of the rod, one drive means for longitudinal displacement of the rod with the output of the device for automatic control of the melting rate, the other drive means for longitudinal displacement of the rod with the output of the device for automatically controlling the start of the upsetting process, and the drive means of the limiter with the output of the device for automatic control of the upsetting path is connected and that the other clamp of the machine is rigidly coupled to the housing of the control slide,
whose piston is in kinematic connection with the rod of said unit.
The invention is to be explained in more detail below using a description of exemplary embodiments and the accompanying drawings. It shows:
1 shows the block circuit of a machine for butt welding workpieces,
2 shows a transmission diagram of the adjusting mechanisms, implemented in the form of a uniform unit, of the devices for automatic control of the welding process and the interaction of the unit with the machine.
The machine for butt welding workpieces by continuous melting contains a housing
1 (Fig. 1), a transformer 2, an immovable tensioner 3 and a movable tensioner 4 with power supply lines 5, in which the weldments 6 are clamped. The movable tensioner 4 is moved by means of a hydraulic mechanism 7 controlled by a three-position control slide 8. Transmitters 9 for measuring the temperature field in the welding pieces 6 during the welding process and a transmitter 10 for displaying the displacement of the welding pieces 6 during the welding are arranged on the housing 1. The outputs of the transmitter 9 and the transmitter 10 are connected to the inputs of the device 11 for automatic control of the start of the upsetting process and to the inputs of the device 12 for automatic control of the upsetting path.
The primary winding of the transformer 2 is coupled to a voltage converter 13 and the secondary winding 2 is coupled to another voltage converter 14. The outputs of the converters 13 and 14 are connected to the inputs of the device 15 for automatic control of the melting rate. The outputs of the device 11 for automatically controlling the start of the upsetting process, the device 12 for automatically controlling the upsetting path and the device 15 for automatically controlling the melting rate are coupled to the inputs of the actuating mechanisms designed in the form of a uniform unit 16 for automatic control of the welding process.
2 shows the transmission diagram of the adjusting mechanisms of the devices for the automatic control of the welding process and their connection with a hydraulic mechanism 7 controlled by a three-position control slide 8 with a piston 17 sprung on one side by a spring 18 Displacement equipped machine.
In this case, the unit 16 is designed in the form of a cylinder 19 firmly connected to the movable tensioner 4, inside which a piston 20 with a two-sided hollow rod 21 is accommodated. The piston 20 with the rod 21 is coaxial with the piston 17 of the control slide 8. Each of the cavities A and B of the cylinder 19 are supplied with pipes 22 and 23, via which the working body (liquid, gas) from a three-position valve 24 for guiding the movable Spanners 4 of the workpieces 6 is passed. A controllable throttle valve 25, which is kinematically connected to the shaft of a reversible motor 26, the housing of which is firmly coupled to the cylinder 19, is installed in the pipeline 22.
One end of the hollow rod 21 of the piston 20 is fixedly connected to a cylinder 27 and is arranged equiaxially, inside which a piston 28 is accommodated with a bilateral rod 29, one end of which passes through the hollow rod 21 of the piston 20 and the piston 17 of the control slide 8 touches. When the piston 28 is displaced during the upsetting process (the second end position), the other end of the rod 29 strikes against a limiter 30 whose longitudinal displacement controls the upsetting path. The limiter 30 is kinematically connected to the shaft of a reversible motor 31, the housing of which is rigidly coupled to the cylinder 27. The working body is fed to the cavities C and D of the cylinder 27 via one of the two pipes 32 or 33, depending on the position of a two-position valve 34 at the start of the upsetting process.
During the melting process, the valve 34 connects the cavity D of the cylinder 27 via the pipeline 33 to a pressure line and the cavity C via the pipeline 32 to a pressure drop line. When upsetting, the cavity C of the cylinder 27 is under pressure and the cavity D is in communication with the pressure drop line. The distance X between the rod 29 and the limiter 30 whose longitudinal displacement corresponds to the compression path.
Before the start of the welding process, the distance between the movable clamp 4 and the immobile clamp 3 of the welded pieces is maximum. Such a position of the movable tensioner 4 is ensured that the piston 20 with the rod 21 and the piston 28 with the rod 29 are in the left end position (see FIG. 2), i. H. the cavity B of the cylinder 19 and the cavity D of the cylinder 27 are under the pressure of the Arbeitskör pers and the cavities A and C of said cylinders are connected to the pressure drop lines.
A number of preparatory operations must be carried out in order to carry out the welding process with the aid of this machine. These include: setting the secondary voltage UO on the transformer 2, clamping the welded pieces 6 by the movable clamp 4 and the immovable clamp 3 of the machine, setting the initial speed v0 of the melting, setting the upsetting speed v, setting the encoder in the device 15 for automatic control the melting speed, setting the encoder in the device 11 for automatic control of the start of the upsetting process and setting the encoder in the device 12 for automatic control of the upsetting path.
The secondary voltage UO at the transformer 2 is set by means of a changeover switch (not shown) in the primary winding of the transformer. The initial speed v0 of the melting is set by opening the throttle valve 25 by hand. The setting of the transmitters in the devices 11, 12 and 15 for automatic control of the welding process in the required position is achieved by turning potentiometer buttons 35 (indicated by a circle in FIG. 1). The upsetting speed is changed by changing the pressure in a hydraulic system feeding the hydraulic mechanism 7 for moving the movable clamp 4.
Depending on the control method of the welding process, the respective parameters are set by the encoders. In our case, FIG. 1 shows, as one of the possible examples, a machine implementing a welding process in which the melting rate is regulated as a function of the level of power developed in the welded pieces during the welding process. The start of the upsetting process is determined by the time at which the surfaces to be melted reach the specified temperature and the upsetting path is determined by the distance between the cross-sections of the welded pieces at the specified temperature.
In the example given, the output level, the temperature of the end faces to be melted at the moment of upsetting and that of the cross sections of the welded pieces, the distance between which is the same as the upsetting path, are set accordingly by the transmitters of the devices 11, 12 and 15.
After the above-mentioned preparatory operations have been carried out, the transmitters 9 for measuring the temperature field in the weldments are placed on one of the weldments. The transformer 2 is then switched on and the three-position valve 24 switched to the position where the pressure in the cylinder 19 takes place via the pipe 22 and the pressure decrease in the cylinder 19 via the pipe 23. The welding process begins. Here, the voltage of the primary circuit of the transformer 2 is fed to the converter 13 and the secondary voltage (in the welding circuit) to the converter 14. The transformed voltages are fed to the input of the device 15 for automatic control of the melting rate.
In accordance with an algorithm of the work of the device 15 given by an operator prior to the welding and on the current values of the electrical parameters of the welding that have arrived at the former, a corresponding signal appears at the output of the device 15, which is reversible kinematically connected to the plunger of the throttle valve 25 Motor 26 sets in motion. As a result, the plunger of the throttle valve 25 assumes a position in which the speed of movement of the piston 20 with the rod 21 in the cylinder 19 of the unit 16 assumes values at which the secondary voltage in the welding circuit due to a voltage drop in its internal resistance up to one through the position of the encoder in the device 15 for automatic control of the melting rate decreases.
During the melting process, the sections of the welded pieces 6 resting against the end faces to be melted off are heated, and signals appear at the output of the transmitters 9 which arrive at the inputs of the devices 11 and 12.
At the same time, as a result of the displacement of the movable clamp 4 of the machine when it melts, a signal appears at the output of the encoder 10, which signal also reaches the inputs of the devices 11 and 12.
Corresponding to the algorithms of the work of the devices 11 and 12 and the current values of the signals from the transmitters 9 and 10 that have arrived at these algorithms prior to welding, corresponding signals appear at the output of the devices 11 and 12. The signal from the output of the device 12 for automatically controlling the upsetting path sets the reversible motor 31 kinematically connected to the limiter 30 of the longitudinal displacement of the rod 29 in motion. As a result, the limiter 30 assumes the position in which at the given moment the distance between the right part of the rod 29 and the limiter 30 is equal to the instantaneous value of the compression path.
The compression path is continuously changed during the welding process, depending on the temperature field created in the welded pieces when they melt. The signal from the output of the device 11 for automatic control of the start of the upsetting process is sent to the control winding of the two-position valve 34. As soon as the temperature of the end faces of the welded pieces 6 to be melted becomes the same as the predetermined temperature set by the transmitter at the device 11 before the welding, the two-position valve 34 responds.
Simultaneously with the triggering of the valve 34, the sensors 9 are lifted off the welded pieces 6, the position of the piston 20 is fixed by the rod of the three-position valve 24 in a neutral position and the working body is pressed into cavity C of the cylinder 27 under pressure while in the cavity D the pressure drops.
As a result, the piston 28 and the piston 17 of the control slide 8 are displaced abruptly in the direction of the limiter 30 at a speed which exceeds the upsetting speed by a power of ten.
It goes without saying that at the moment the valve 34 is triggered, the limiter 30 is stopped, the piston 28 moving with the rod 29 until it makes contact with the limiter 30.
The moving tensioner 4 of the machine follows thanks to the follow-up system of the mechanism 7 for displacing the movement of the rod 29, i. H. the weld pieces are compressed by a distance between the rod 29 and the limiter 30 at a point in time prior to the compression.
To reset the machine, the throttle valve 25 is fully opened after the removal of the weldments 6 from the clamps 3 and 4 and introduced into the cavity B of the cylinder 19 via the three-position valve 24 under pressure of the working body, while the cavity A is connected to a drain pipe . At the same time, the working body is introduced into the cavity D of the cylinder 27 via the two-position valve 34, also under pressure, while the cavity C is connected to the drainage pipe. As a result, the piston 17 of the spool 8 moves to the left and the hydraulic mechanism 7 for moving the movable tensioner 4 of the machine to the right, returning to the starting position.
