Fig.
The invention relates to a system for the surface treatment of workpieces with a centrifugal blasting machine, the workpieces being contained in blasting drums which pass through several stations of the machine and can be rotated while the workpieces are simultaneously exposed to a blasting agent.
Various devices of the aforementioned type are already known. For example, German Offenlegungsschrift No. 2 020 924 shows a cleaning machine with a filling material receiving drum which can be rotated to circulate the filling material while simultaneously acting on it with a blasting agent. The machine is equipped with a feed and discharge device for loading the drum.
in which at least two drums are provided which can be moved in succession through a number of stations, one of which is a loading station, another is a cleaning station and a third is a discharge station. Due to the blasting drums that are firmly connected to the blasting machine, this type of construction requires that the items to be cleaned are poured over during loading and unloading. The horizontal arrangement of the main axis of this type also limits the number of stations or jet drums practically to three because of the position of the filling material.
The invention is based on the object of simplifying the loading and unloading of the shot blasting machines and reducing the idle times associated therewith, compared with previously known designs. According to the invention, this object is achieved in a system of the type specified in that a transfer device is arranged between the centrifugal blast machine and a conveyor device, which has a lifting device pivotable about an axis and a clamping device for detecting blasting drums, the plane of pivoting movement of the lifting device being the Axis of the centrifugal blasting machine cuts.
The drawings show exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention in a simplified representation, namely:
1 shows a section in elevation along the line 1-1 in FIG. 3 of a 4-station blasting machine with loading or unloading station, two blasting stations and two transfer devices,
FIG. 2 is a side elevation of the transfer device shown in FIG. 1,
3 shows a plan view of the machine shown in FIG. 1 with a feed and removal unit and two transfer devices,
4 shows a diagram of a 4-station machine with a blasting station, a station for loading and one station each for unwinding and unloading, as well as two transfer devices,
5 shows a diagram of a 5-station machine with three blasting stations and one loading and one unloading station as well as two transfer devices,
Fig.

7 shows a diagram of a 4-station machine with one station for loading and unloading, two blasting stations and one discharge station, and only one transport unit and only one transfer device.
1, 2 and 3 show a 4-station shot blasting machine and its mode of operation. From a horizontal, unspecified feed unit, for. B; a roller table 11, with workpieces such. B. cast pieces, filled, exchangeable jet drums 12 successively brought to the point 13. Here, the blasting drums 12 are passed through by a mechanical transfer device 14 at specific time intervals, which correspond to the blasting time
Raising, pivoting and lowering into an empty drive crown 5 at station 1 in the machine. The
The machine itself has four cells 6 which are formed by partition walls 7. The partitions 7 are in a fixed connection Ver with the vertical axis 8, which can be set in incremental rotation by the gear motor 9.
At the lower end of the vertical axis there is a turnstile 10 with the drive crowns 5 stored therein. The number of drive crowns 5 corresponds to the number of stations or the number of cells
6. Each drive crown 5 has an individual drive, e.g. B.
with gear motor 15. By gradually rotating the vertical axis 8, the blasting drum 12 become the same
The rhythm always turns to the next station 2, 3 etc. The blasting drum 12 on loading station 1 thus goes to blasting station 2 under the centrifugal jet 30 of the centrifugal wheels 22, the preceding blasting drum 12 on the first blasting station 2 goes to the second blasting station 3, etc. If a blasting drum 12 has reached the end station 4, it is here after the empty turning for drumming out the blasting agent into the machine trough 16, removed from the machine by a second transfer device 14 and set down on the corresponding removal unit 17 for removal. In the next step, the vertical axis 8 rotates the now empty drive crown 5 from the unloading station 4 to the loading station
1, and the step-by-step cycle begins again without interruption.
The transfer device 14 functions as follows:
A lifting cylinder 24 with a clamping device 25 operated by cylinder 36, with which the filled blasting drum 12 is gripped and raised at point 13 on the feed unit 11, hangs on a pivot axis 23 on a yoke 27 above the loading station 13. A pivot lever 28 which, like the lifting cylinder 24, sits firmly on the pivot axis 23, is operated by a pressure cylinder 26 to pivot the lifting cylinder 24 with the blasting drum 12 onto the station 1 in the machine. There the lifting cylinder 24 lowers the blasting drum 12 into the empty drive crown 5 and the clamping device 25 releases the drum 12, whereupon the lifting cylinder 24 is pivoted back. A second transfer device 14 operates in an analogously reversed manner for unloading the jet drums from station 4 onto removal unit 17.
The return transport of the abrasive takes place in a known manner, for. B. via a screw conveyor 18 and a sieve drum 19, in which the solid parts are first separated out, via a bucket elevator 20 to a known, not described separator 21, in which the fine impurities are separated.
The cleaned blasting agent then returns to the blasting wheels 22. One or two or even more blasting wheels can be arranged above each blasting station.
4 shows a schematic representation of a second embodiment of a centrifugal blasting machine according to the invention. A feed unit 45 and a removal unit 46 have transfer devices 47 and 47 'at their ends, which act in the same way as described for the embodiment of FIGS. 1 to 3. Station 41 is the loading station, 42 is the blasting station, 43 is the unloading station and 44 is the unloading station. This embodiment allows a different timing for the operations to be performed in the machine.
In Fig. 5 and 6 further embodiments are shown schematically. The five-station machine according to FIG. 5 allows, in addition to the loading station 51 and an unloading station 55, two blasting stations 52 and 53 and a station 54 for unloading to be arranged. The feed unit 57 and the removal unit 58 as well as the transfer device 56 and 56 'are used in the same way as in the exemplary embodiment of FIGS. 1 to 3.
For workpieces which require a particularly long and intensive blasting treatment, a blasting machine according to FIG. 6 with three blasting stations 61, 62 and 63 can be used. The stations 64 and 65 are identical to the stations 1 and 4 of FIGS. 1 to 3 for loading and unloading the blasting machine. The station 66 can be used to drum out.
The embodiment of FIG. 7 has a four station machine analogous to FIGS. 1 to 3 or FIG. 4. However, the system has only one transfer device 34 which is used both for loading and for unloading the station 31.
The base of the transfer device 34 is located outside the runway 33, which is surmounted by the yoke 29, so that the jet drums 35 can be pivoted to the station 31.
The roller conveyor 33 serves as a feed unit and as a removal unit for the jet drums 35.
Centrifugal jet machines according to the present invention can be equipped in a known manner with controls for automatic operation. All operations can be recorded by the control so that a fully automatic operation of a centrifugal blasting system is possible. The invention makes it possible to significantly simplify the reloading of workpieces from transport containers into the blasting machine and to advantageously reduce the development of dust and noise.
