The invention relates to a weaving machine with a device with lamellae for pneumatic weft insertion by guiding and driving the weft thread in the shed in a channel formed from the lamellae and air outlet members, wherein in addition to a row of bar lamellae arranged on the reed side, a row of hooked lamellae arranged on the stop side is provided and the Channel-forming elements attached to a sley dip into the open shed so that the inner contour of the channel lies within the shed, and when the shed is closed are removed so that none of the elements touch the warp threads and the weft thread passes through a slot between the shed has emerged at opposite ends of the two types of lamellae at a distance.
In a known device of this type, the reed-side slats are inclined with their free ends towards the reed. The air outlet members each have an outlet opening at the foot of the bar lamella and the hook lamella, so that an air flow is generated in the bar lamella that is just as strong as the air flow in the hook lamella.
The lamellae, which are immovable in relation to the reed, and the air outlet members each belong to a sinker that is pushed completely into the shed during weaving, so that the warp threads of the lower shed are in the channel. The air supply is disadvantageous in this device because the construction of the circuit boards is complicated and not enough air can be supplied. It is also possible for the weft thread to exit through the slot during insertion.
A better air supply is known in which the air outlet members are arranged one behind the other and generate an air flow that is uniform over the entire width of the duct. The duct is also delimited towards the top by air outlet members arranged one behind the other. Disadvantages of this device are the very high air requirement and the fact that the weft thread can easily come into contact with the warp threads, which repeatedly leads to looping in the weft threads. Furthermore, there is poor accessibility of the reed because of the air outlet members resting on both sides of the compartment.
A weaving machine is also known in which arcuate lamellae, which are provided with air outlet members, and rod lamellae, which are designed as leaf springs, form a closed channel. In this weaving machine, air under pressure cannot be blown into the channel in a manner that is satisfactory in all cases, and the channel is opened by bending back the leaf spring bar lamellae using the inserted weft thread. If a lot of air is blown under pressure into the channel, the leaf spring rod lamellae can bend back in an undesirable manner and open a slot for the weft thread to exit.
The object of the invention is to create a weaving machine of the type mentioned at the outset in which sufficient air can be fed into the channel in a simple manner without the weft thread coming into contact with the warp threads, and an unwanted exit of the weft thread from the channel is impossible is.
The invention provides a weaving machine of the type mentioned at the beginning, which is characterized in that air outlet members arranged one behind the other are provided at the lower end of the lamellae, namely between the two rows of lamellae, and that one type of lamellae is arranged around an axis running in the direction of the channel is arranged rotatably opposite the reed and is controllable in such a way that the ends of the lamellas immersed in the shed are arranged close to one another and when they are removed from the shed they move away from each other forming the slot, with means for controlling the rotary movement of the rotatable lamellae depending on the Movement of the sley are provided, which act on the movable slats.
In a machine according to the invention, to produce fabrics with a different warp density, not a whole sinker arrangement is exchanged, but rather only the much cheaper reed, as in the conventional loom. Weft insertion with theoretically unlimited weaving width is possible. The flow caused by the air outlet members carries the weft thread all the way through the shed without it being able to come into contact with the warp threads. The slats are z. B. combined like a comb, the combs preferably have the same parts.
The weft thread cannot escape from the channel in an undesirable manner even if a lot of air is blown into the channel under pressure, because the rotary movement of the rotatable lamellae is controlled. The shape of the hook lamellae essentially does not affect the function of a loom according to the invention.
In the drawing, preferred embodiments of the invention are shown and shown
1 shows a side view of a device with movable slats on a sley,
Fig. 2 is a perspective view of mutually movable slats and
3 shows a side view of a further device with movable slats on a sley.
According to the drawing, a sley 1 is arranged so that it can be moved back and forth about a sley pivot point 2. The sley 1 is moved back and forth with means not shown in detail but known per se in such a way that it remains in the rear open shed position for the entire duration of the weft insertion and is briefly brought into the front stop position for the weft stop. The sley pivot point 2 is chosen so that a weft insertion device attached to the sley 1 consisting of air inlet members 3, bar lamellas 4 and hook lamellas 5 is completely out of the warp threads forming a shed 6 in the stop position, and a reed 7 on the stop edge 8 of the already formed fabric is applied.
Each air outlet member is formed by a tube, one end of which is supplied with compressed air and the other end of which releases this air into the channel in such a way that it flows in the insertion direction of the weft thread. The air outlet members 3 are arranged in a sawtooth shape so that they extend transversely to the warp threads over the entire width of the fabric to be produced.
Each air outlet member 3 forms, together with the bar lamellas 4 and the hook lamellae 5, a channel 9. The hook lamellae 5 are rotatably mounted at the bottom of the tube about an axis 10 running in the direction of the channel 9 and each face a bar lamella 4 exactly. The free ends 11, 12 of the lamellas interlock when the channel 9 is in the shed 6, and face each other forming a slot when the channel is moved out of the shed. This is illustrated by the dashed illustration in FIG. 1. The free end 12 of the hook lamellae 5 is provided with a removal 14 on the side adjacent to the associated rod lamella 4. The free end of each rod lamella is also provided with a removal 15 on the side adjacent to the associated hook lamella.
In this way it is achieved that when the lamellae engage one another, the side surface of the hooked lamella 5 opposite the removal 14 is aligned with the associated side face of the bar lamellas. This prevents the lamellae from affecting the course of the warp threads, which can occur when the bar lamellae are arranged offset with respect to the hooked lamellae.
The hook lamellae 5 are provided with a lever arm 16 which projects downwards towards the sley 1 and which is drawn towards the sley by means of a tension spring 17. At the free end of the lever arm 16, a stop 18 is provided which cooperates with a stationary stop 19 in such a way that the lever arm 16 is pivoted against the force of the tension spring 17 when the slats are immersed in the shed 9 and the free ends 12 of the hook slats 5 between the free ends 11 of the slats 4 engage. The stationary stop 19 carries an adjusting screw 21 and is located in the lamellae immersed in the shed in a plane between the sley 1 and the stop 18. The free end of the lever arm 16 carries an adjusting screw 20 which lies against the sley 1 when the Lever arm is pivoted to the sley, and thus the width of the slot 13 is determined.
When the lamellae 4, 5 are fully immersed in the shed 5 and a weft thread is inserted, the stop 18 rests against the stationary stop 19 so that the channel 9 is closed. If the sley 1 is pivoted to the stop against the stop edge 8 after the weft has been inserted, the channel 9 opens around the slot 13 at the beginning of the pivoting movement, since the lever arm 16 moves away from the stationary stop 19 together with the sley 1. The weft thread can now emerge from the channel 9 at any time and be struck by the reed 2.
In a device according to FIG. 3, a bar 22 is provided which is attached to a sley, for. B. the sley 1 in Fig. 1, is attachable. The bar 22 carries upwardly protruding bar lamellas 4 and hook lamellas 5, the upper ends of which rest butt against one another at the abutting edge 23. One bar lamella 4 and one hook lamella 5 each form an upside-down U, the abutting edge 13 running in the base of the U and the side surfaces of the two lamellae of the pair being aligned. The slats 4 are immovably connected to the beam 22 and also to the sley.
The hook slats 5, however, sit on the upper edge of a resilient element 24, for. B. a leaf spring strip, the lower edge of which is clamped in the bar 22 and is thus immovably connected to the sley. At the lower end, the hook lamellae 5 have, in addition to the leaf spring strips 24, a recess into which a web 26 protrudes from below and has an angled end 25 which protrudes into a lateral recess 28 of the beam 22. The upper end of a lever arm 29 is attached to the web 26, the other end of which protrudes downward and which can interact with a stationary stop 30.
When the slat is dipped into the shed, the free ends of each pair of hook slats and rod slats are due to the resilient element 24 on one another.
If the sley moves, i. H. the bar 22 in Fig. 3 to the right, so if the slats are taken out of the shed, the lower end of the lever arm 29 hits the stop 30. This rotates the lever arm around the angled end 27, whereby the hook slats 5 moves to the right so that a slot is formed at the abutting edge 23. The function of the axis 10 in FIG. 1 is taken over by the resilient element 24 in FIG. 3.
It is possible both in the embodiment according to FIG. 1 and in that according to FIG. 3 to install an optical, acoustic or pneumatic barrier consisting of transmitter and receiver in the opposite ends of a pair of lamellae. The passage of the weft thread 1 through the slit can be registered with this barrier.
