Dabei zeigen:
Fig. 1 ein Blockschema und
The present invention relates to a method for the secured transmission of data that are exchanged in the form of telegrams between a control device and a plurality of subsidiary points via two intervening main stations, each extension being connected to both main stations.
The invention solves the problem of providing a method which, in a simple manner, allows the data exchange to be continued between the control device and the extensions
Failure or disruption of a main office or individual connection paths guaranteed. In the following, an extension is understood to be a sub-control unit that takes over certain control functions, for example routine control functions, on behalf of the control device.
The method according to the invention is characterized in that for each auxiliary unit the connection path leading to the control device via the first or second main unit is used as the control path and that via the other
Main unit leading to the control device connection path is used as a second control path, and to distinguish the control paths from the secondary control paths in a memory of each main unit on a memory location allocated to each extension unit, a feature identifying a control path or a second control path is stored, that furthermore each outgoing from the control device Telegram is forwarded to the corresponding extension based on the information contained therein, either via the control route or via the secondary control route,
and that each telegram issued by the auxiliary units is offered to both main units via the respective control path and the respective secondary control path, but is only accepted by one main unit and forwarded to the control device.
Switching a control route into a second control route or vice versa is only done by the two main bodies without any involvement of the branches. This avoids incorrect manipulations in this regard on the part of the extensions.
With the aid of the drawings, the method according to the invention described above will be explained in more detail, for example. Show:
Fig. 1 is a block diagram and
Fig. 2 shows part of the memory locations in the two
Main locations of existing storage.
In Fig. 1, two main stations HS1, HS2 connected to a control device ST and six auxiliary stations NS, each of which is connected to two main stations, HS1, HS2, are shown. Of course, any other number of extension units NS can also be connected to the main units HS1, HS2. For the exchange of data between the control device ST and each extension NS, there are two separate connection paths, whereby for each extension NS individually the connection path leading via one main point HS1 or HS2 as control path W and the connection path leading via the other main point HS2 or HS1 is used as a second control route EW.
In undisturbed operation, the respective connecting routes leading via a main station HS1, HS2 are used approximately in equal parts as control routes W and as second control routes EW. If a main station HS1 or HS2 fails, its function is taken over by the other, intact main station HS2 or HS1. If one or more control routes W fail, the secondary control routes EW connected to the relevant extensions NS are switched over to control routes W.
In a memory SP of each main station HS1, HS2, each extension NS is assigned a permanent memory location on which a feature is stored which identifies the connection path leading to the relevant extension NS as a control path W or a second control path EW. This identification can be done with a single bit by, for example, only the control routes W, but not the secondary control routes EW, are marked in the corresponding memory location.
Fig. 2 shows the corresponding memory locations of the extensions NS shown in Fig. 1 on the memory SP present in each main station HSI, HS2 with correspondingly marked control paths W. The second control path EW leading to any extension NS can thus be converted into a control path in the simplest way W and the control path W leading to the same extension NS are switched to a second control path EW. For this purpose, the marker bit which is present in the memory SP of one main station HS1 or HS2 on the memory space corresponding to the relevant extension NS and characterizing the control path W is rewritten to the memory space corresponding to this extension NS in the memory SP of the other main station HS2 or HSI.
Each outgoing telegram from the control device ST is received on the basis of the information contained in it either by one or the other main station HSI, HS2 and forwarded to the corresponding extension NS via the respective control path W or secondary control path EW, with most telegrams via the respective Control path W are transmitted. Telegrams can thus be sent to the relevant extension NS via the control route W as well as via the second control route EW merely by changing the information contained therein, characterizing the connection route.
The possibility of sending telegrams via the second control path EW allows contact with the auxiliary units NS to be continuously maintained in the event of failure of a main unit HSI, HS2 or if the corresponding control path W fails. Furthermore, each second control path EW can be checked by a telegram occasionally routed via the same.
Likewise, the extensions NS connected to the failed main station HSI or HS2 via control routes W can be blocked immediately by a corresponding telegram via the secondary control routes EW leading via the intact main station HS2 or HS1, until these secondary control routes EW are switched over to control routes W by rewriting the corresponding marker bit from the memory SP of the failed main station HS1 or HS2 into the memory SP of the intact main station HS2 or HS1 has taken place. The switchover of any control path W to a second control path EW and vice versa can take place at any time by the above-mentioned rewriting of the relevant marker bits in both main stations HS1, HS2.
Each telegram sent by the branches NS is, however, always offered to both main units HSI, HS2 via the respective control path W as well as via the respective secondary control path EW, but only accepted by one main unit HS1, HS2 and forwarded to the control device ST.
Each response telegram sent back by any extension NS and expected by the control device ST following a command telegram it has issued is accepted by the corresponding main station HS1, HS2 via the same control path W or secondary control path EW and forwarded to the control device ST, via which the corresponding command telegram was forwarded to the relevant extension NS. Such a response telegram can contain, for example, a confirmation of the executed command or the content of information stored in the relevant extension NS and requested by the control device ST.
All other telegrams offered by the branches NS to the two main units HSI, HS2 are taken over individually by one of the two main units HSI, HS2 on the basis of information stored therein and forwarded to the control device ST.
While an extension NS receives a telegram via the control path W or second control path EW leading to a main station HSI, HS2, the secondary control path EW or control path W leading to the other main station HS2, HSI is ignored by this extension NS. Subsequently, the extension NS is again ready to receive a telegram arriving on the control route W or on the second control route EW.
