Das Hauptpatent betrifft einen Filter für Rauchergegen stände, insbesondere Zigaretten, Zigarren, Zigarettenspitzen, Tabakpfeifen usw., bestehend aus einer Patrone mit Rauch- durchlass, welcher sich dadurch auszeichnet, dass derselbe aus mehreren ineinandergreifenden, hohlzylindrischen, konzen trisch im Abstand zueinander angeordneten Teilen besteht, welche einen in der Axialrichtung derselben verlaufenden, mehrfach umgelenkten Rauchdurchlass begrenzen, derart, dass der abziehende Rauch Wärmeveränderungen und einem De stillationsvorgang ausgesetzt wird,
welcher an den durch den Rauch berührten Flächen einen tabaksaucenartigen Nieder schlag erzeugt und damit eine Filtrierung bewirkt.
Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine weitere Ausbildung des im Hauptpatent beschriebenen Filters.
Bei den bisherigen Ausführungen des Filters zeigte sich der grosse Nachteil, dass bei längerem Rauchen sich auf dem Bo denteil der Mantelhülse im Bereich der auf gleicher Höhe lie genden Rauchdurchlässe Tabaksauce aus Kondenswasser und Tabakteer ansammelt, die verhältnismässig rasch zu einer Ver stopfung der letzteren führen. Dieser Nachteil soll nun durch die vorliegende Erfindung beseitigt werden.
Der Filter nach der vorliegenden Erfindung ist dadurch ge kennzeichnet, dass im Bereich von haarfeinen Durchlässen an der inneren Stirnseite eines Umlenkrohres Mittel vorgesehen sind, um zur Erhöhung der Nikotin- und Teerausschei dung den durchziehenden Tabakrauch einer Kompression ver bunden mit Erhitzung und nachfolgend einer Entspannung ver bunden mit Abkühlung zu unterwerfen, ferner dass ein sich dem Raum zwischen dem äussersten und dem zweitäussersten hohlzylindrischen Teil anschliessender, unterhalb der Durch- lässe liegender Sackraum angeordnet ist, welcher das Ansam meln der beim Rauchen entstehenden Tabaksaucen an den Durchlässen und das Verstopfen derselben verhindert.
In der Zeichnung ist eine beispielsweise Ausführungsform des Erfindungsgegenstandes dargestellt, und zwar zeigen: Fig. 1 einen axialen Schnitt durch den Filter in grösserem Massstab, Fig. 2 eine Draufsicht zu Fig. 1, Fig. 3 einen axialen Schnitt durch einen Teil der Mantel hülse und Fig. 4 das Umlenkrohr teilweise im Schnitt.
Eine an ihrem äusseren Ende mit einem erweiterten An steckteil 1' für eine Zigarette oder Zigarre 11 versehene Man telhülse 1 ist andernendes mit dem Bodenteil 2 versehen, welcher auf einer zentralen Austrittsöffnung 4 ein in den Raum der Mantelhülse 1 ragendes, zu dieser koaxiales Abzugsrohr 5 trägt. Die Mantelhülse 1 und das Abzugsrohr 5 sind in einem einzigen Stück aus Kunststoff hergestellt. 6 ist ein vom äussern Ende der Mantelhülse 1 her über das Abzugsrohr 5 ge stülptes, zur Mantelhülse 1 koaxiales Umlenkrohr aus Kunst stoff. 7 bezeichnet die Durchlässe für den Raucheingang.
Das Umlenkrohr 6 ist an seinem äusseren Ende durch einen Deckel 3 geschlossen und mit vier kreuzweise am Rohrmantel radial vorstehenden Führungsrippen 10 versehen. Das unten offene Umlenkrohr 6 weist stirnseitig einander gegenüberliegende, durch haarfeine Randausschnitte gebildete Durchlässe 7' auf. Letztere sind, im Gegensatz zur Darstellung in der Zeichnung, in natürlicher Grösse vom Auge kaum sichtbar. Ein an seiner Übergangsstelle zum Bodenteil 2 stufenartiger Fussteil 5' des Abzugsrohres 5 weist eine Ringschulter 12 und im Abstand über dieser ein konisches, sich nach oben verjüngendes Zwi schenstück 12' auf.
Beim Einführen des Umlenkrohres 6 in die Mantelhülse 1 bewirken die Führungsrippen 10 zusammen mit dem Zwischenstück 12' die Zentrierung des Umlenkroh- res 6 zwischen der Mantelhülse 1 und dem Azugsrohr 5.
Die als Sitz für das innere Ende des Umlenkrohres 6 die nende Ringschulter 12 ist in einem Abstand x über dem Boden teil 2 der Mantelhülse 1 angeordnet. Dadurch wird ein relativ tiefer Sackraum 8' unterhalb der Durchlässe 7' für die An sammlung der Tabaksauce gebildet. Indem die Durchlässe 7' im Abstand über dem Bodenteil 2 stehen, ist das Zudringen der Tabaksauce zu ersteren verhindert und damit das Verstop fen verunmöglicht.
Durch das konische Zwischenstück 12' nahe dem Fussteil 5' des Abzugsrohres 5 wird eine Verengung des Zwischenrau mes 9 zwischen Abzugsrohr 5 und Umlenkrohr 6 geschaffen, welche eine gewisse Stauung und damit Drosselung des Rauch stromes bereits vor dem Eintritt zu den Durchlässen 7' be wirkt. Beim Übergang aus dem Zwischenraum 8 in die Ver engung 9' erfährt der Rauchstrom eine Komprimierung und damit eine Erhitzung. Nach Verlassen der Verengung 9' und Eintreten in den erweiterten Zwischenraum 9 stellt sich dage gen eine Entspannung und damit Abkühlung ein.
Durch diese rasch wechselnde Komprimierung und die damit verbundene Erhitzung sowie die unmittelbar folgende Entspannung und Abkühlung des Rauchstromes wird nach Untersuchungen von behörderlichen Laboratorien eine überraschend gute Nikotin ausscheidung von durchschnittlich 75 % des im Rauch enthal tenen Nikotins als auch eine Teerausscheidung von durch schnittlich 70% des im Rauch enthaltenen Tabakteers erzielt.
