Abstract
The pivots proper are moulded integral with one half of the cassette and sleeves, esp. of PTFE, force fitted onto them. The tape guide, rollers, of polyacetal based plastic, are a loose fit on the sleeved pivots. Prod. has case of mfr. and fitting.
Description
Cassette d'enregistrement à bande magnétique
La présente invention a pour objet une cassette d'enregistrement à bande magnétique comprenant deux bobines alternativement enrouleuse et dérouleuse de ladite bande et des galets de guidage tournant autour d'axes fixes parallèles aux axes des bobines.
Dans les cassettes connues de ce type, les galets de guidage de la bande magnétique sont montés rotatifs chacun sur un axe fixe métallique, inséré dans un trou dans la matière moulée de la cassette. Ces galets sont en matière plastique moulée et on a constaté qu'ils avaient tendance à tourner en vibrant sur leurs axes en acier. Ceci produit non seulement des bruits inadmissibles surtout pendant l'enroulement et le déroulement rapide, mais cette vibration est préjudiciable à la bande magnétique et est la cause d'un embobinage défectueux risquant de bloquer le mouvement de la bande. La solution adoptée parfois de lubrifier les axes est mauvaise car le lubrifiant peut se déplacer et causer des ennuis à la surface enregistrée de la bande magnétique. De plus, les axes en acier sont rarement placés à la verticale ce qui provoque un embobinage défectueux de la bande.
La présente invention vise à remédier à ces inconvénients et la cassette d'enregistrement qui en fait l'objet est caractérisée en ce que chacun desdits axes pour les galets de guidage de la bande magnétique, est venu de moulage avec une demi-cassette, perpendiculaire à la surface intérieure, en ce qu'une douille en une matière élastique flexible et à faible coefficient de frottement est montée à frottement sur ledit axe, et en ce qu'un galet en une matière plastique à base de polyacétal est monté fou sur ladite douille.
Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de la cassette faisant l'objet de la présente invention.
La figure 1 est une vue en plan d'une moitié de cassette.
La figure 2 est une vue en coupe à plus grande échelle, par la ligne 2-2 de la figure 1.
La demi-cassette représentée à la figure 1 comprend deux bobines 2 et 3 alternativement enrouleuse et dérouleuse pour la bande magnétique 4. Cette bande passe sur des galets de guidage 5, 5 disposés symétriquement, adjacents à des passages 6, 6 communiquant avec l'extérieur de la cassette.
Les axes 7, 7 des galets 5, 5 sont venus de moulage avec la demi-cassette 1. Une douille 8 en une matière plastique élastique, flexible et à coefficient de frottement très faible telle que, par exemple, celle connue sous la désignation de teflon est montée à frottement sur l'axe 7, (figure 2). Le galet 5 est en une matière plastique à base de polyacétal telle que, par exemple, celle connue sous la désignation delrin . Ce galet est monté fou sur la douille 8 et ne vient en contact avec le fond 1 que par une collerette de petit diamètre.
On a constaté que ce montage donne de très bons résultats grâce à la perpendicularité de l'axe venu de moulage avec la cassette et grâce au coefficient de frottement très faible entre les surfaces en contact de la douille en teflon et du galet en delrin (sans lubrification). D'autre part, le grippage entre ces deux pièces est éliminé de même que le bruit de vibration.
Magnetic tape recording cassette
The present invention relates to a magnetic tape recording cassette comprising two reels alternately winding and unwinding said tape and guide rollers rotating about fixed axes parallel to the axes of the reels.
In the known cassettes of this type, the guide rollers of the magnetic tape are each rotatably mounted on a fixed metal shaft, inserted in a hole in the molded material of the cassette. These rollers are of molded plastic material and it has been found that they tend to rotate by vibrating on their steel axles. This not only produces inadmissible noises especially during winding and fast unwinding, but this vibration is detrimental to the magnetic tape and is the cause of defective winding which could block the movement of the tape. The solution sometimes adopted to lubricate the axes is bad because the lubricant can move around and cause trouble on the recorded surface of the magnetic tape. In addition, the steel pins are rarely placed vertically, which causes faulty web winding.
The present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks and the recording cassette which is the subject thereof is characterized in that each of said axes for the guide rollers of the magnetic tape, is molded with a half-cassette, perpendicular on the inner surface, in that a bushing of a flexible elastic material with a low coefficient of friction is frictionally mounted on said axis, and in that a roller of a polyacetal-based plastic material is mounted idle on said socket.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the cassette which is the subject of the present invention.
Figure 1 is a plan view of a cassette half.
Figure 2 is a sectional view on a larger scale, taken on line 2-2 of Figure 1.
The half-cassette shown in Figure 1 comprises two reels 2 and 3 alternately winder and unwinder for the magnetic tape 4. This tape passes over guide rollers 5, 5 arranged symmetrically, adjacent to passages 6, 6 communicating with the outside of the cassette.
The pins 7, 7 of the rollers 5, 5 are molded with the half-cassette 1. A sleeve 8 made of an elastic, flexible plastic material with a very low coefficient of friction such as, for example, that known under the designation of teflon is mounted in friction on the axis 7, (figure 2). The roller 5 is made of a plastic material based on polyacetal such as, for example, that known under the designation delrin. This roller is mounted idle on the sleeve 8 and only comes into contact with the bottom 1 by a small diameter collar.
It has been observed that this assembly gives very good results thanks to the perpendicularity of the axis formed by molding with the cassette and thanks to the very low coefficient of friction between the surfaces in contact of the teflon sleeve and the delrin roller (without lubrication). On the other hand, the seizure between these two parts is eliminated as well as the vibration noise.
