Aerosol-Schaumzubereitung
Zweckmässig verwendet man Ölsäuresarcosid.

Aerosol foam preparation
The present invention relates to a new aerosol foam preparation which is suitable for use in feminine hygiene of the lower pelvic area, in particular the outer vaginal region.
In Swiss Patent No. 430 057, new aerosol spray preparations are described which are suitable for use in feminine hygiene in the lower pelvic area, especially the outer vaginal region, and which, due to their content of an antibacterial substance, reduce or prevent body odor if they act on the appropriate body part are sprayed (so-called dry sprays). The formulation of the antibacterial substance as a dry spray of the type mentioned has the advantage that the container is easy, e.g. B. in a handbag, and does not need to be replaced often, as is the case with bactericidal impregnated toilet paper, etc.
It has now been found that a particularly advantageous preparation which is suitable for use in feminine hygiene of the lower pelvic area, in particular the outer vaginal region, is obtained if bactericidal substances are formulated as an aerosol foam preparation. This type of formulation has the advantage of bringing about a particularly effective contact between the skin or mucous membrane and the antibacterial substance. As with the aerosol spray preparation already mentioned, it is necessary to overcome the problem of irritation of the mucous membrane by aerosol propellants, bactericides, etc., and it has surprisingly been found that this problem can be solved in aerosol foam preparations by adding the preparation incorporated a relatively large amount of certain emollients and certain foaming agents.
The aerosol foam preparation according to the invention is characterized in that it contains: a) an aerosol propellant; b) water; c) at least one organic bactericide which prevents the bacterial decomposition of excretions from the female body; d) a fatty or oily emollient; and e) one or more of the following substances as a foam-forming agent: salts of long-chain fatty acid sarcosides with at least 10 carbon atoms in the fatty acid component, salts of albumin fatty acid condensates or amphoteric surface-active substances; and that it does not irritate human skin or mucous membranes.
Fluoro-aliphatic hydrocarbons are particularly suitable propellants and of these, fluoromethane and fluoroethane derivatives are preferred, e.g. B. trichlorofluoromethane, dichloromonofluoromethane, dichlorodifluoromethane, difluoromonochloromethane, monochlorotrifluoromethane, trichlorotrifluoroethane, dichlorotetrafluoroethane, difluoroethane, monochloridfluoroethane, monofluorodichloroethane or octane
Preferably, the propellant molecule should contain more fluorine than chlorine atoms to reduce hydrolysis by the water present. Low molecular weight paraffins such as propane and butane are also useful blowing agents. The concentration of propellant in the compositions is preferably between 5 and 20% by weight, for example about 10% by weight.
The foam-forming agents mentioned differ from other surface-active substances in that they do not irritate the human skin or mucous membrane. It should be noted that irritation is often caused by contaminants such as inorganic salts; the foam-forming agent used should therefore be of such a degree of purity that it is non-irritating.
The fatty acid part of the long-chain fatty acid sarcosides generally has between 10 and 30 carbon atoms.
Oleic acid sarcoside is expediently used.
The amphoteric surface-active agents include: alkylamino fatty acids, such as higher alkylamino-ss-alanines and N-higher alkyl aspartic acids, also the miranols, in particular the alkali metal salts of 1-carboxymethyl-1, B-hydroxy-ethyl-2-undecyl-imidazolinium alkyl sulfates.
The preparation preferably contains sufficient foaming agent to ensure that a foam is not only formed but also remains for a certain time.
It is generally advantageous to add one or more foam stabilizers for this purpose, e.g. B. a thickener such as polyvinylpyrrolidone, or an inorganic foam stabilizer such as a soluble magnesium salt.
The concentration of foam-forming agent in the preparation is expediently 10 to 60% by weight, preferably 30 to 50% by weight.
Substances which have an emollient effect on the human skin and mucous membranes and which are physically greasy or oily in character are suitable as emollients.
These substances generally have no surface-active properties of their own. Except fats and oils in the strict sense, d. H. Triglycerides, substances such as long-chain fatty liquids and long-chain esters, which have similar physical and plasticizing properties to natural fats and oils, are also possible. However, essential oils, such as perfume oil, cannot be referred to as emollient substances and are therefore not included in the term oil as used here. It is obvious, however, that perfume oils can additionally be incorporated into the preparations according to the invention because of their fragrance properties.
Of the natural fats and oils, purcelin oil, lavender oil, sesame oil, almond oil, lanolin and hydrogenated sebum are particularly suitable. Synthetic fats and oils include esters of fatty acids such as adipic, stearic, myristic, palmitic, linoleic or linolenic acids, such as e.g. B. ethyl, glyceryl, isopropyl esters, etc., e.g. B. isopropyl myristate and ethyl oleate.
Silicone based oils can also be used, e.g. B. dimethylpolysiloxane and its esters, e.g. B. the stearyl ester, methylphenylpolysiloxane, silicone-glycol copolymer, z. B. the products F-157, F-225, F-470 and F-471, which are marketed by Dow-Corning, Midland, Michigan, USA.
The concentration of emollients in the preparation is expediently between 0.1 and 10% by weight, preferably between 1.0 and 5% by weight.
All organic bactericides which prevent the bacterial decomposition of excretions from the female body and are compatible with the skin and mucous membrane are suitable as bactericides. A number of bactericides suitable for the present purpose are already known. Examples include: certain halophenyl compounds such as 2,4-dichloro3,5-xylenol, 3, 4,6-trichlorophenol, 3, 5,4'-tribromosalicylanilide and 4-chloro-3,5-xylenol. Particularly preferred bactericides are bis-p-chlorophenyldiguanidohexane and its esters, such as the diacetate and digluconate, and 2,2'-methylenebis (3,4,6-trichlorophenol).
Other useful bactericides are long-chain quaternary ammonium compounds such as cetyltrimethylammonium bromide, nitrofuran derivatives such as N- (5-nitro-2-furfurylidene) -1-aminohydantoin and N- (5-nitro-2-furfurylidene) -3-amino-2-oxazolidone ; bactericidal urea-formaldehyde condensation products and hydroxymethylene derivatives of thiourea, such as N-hydroxymethyl N'-methylthiourea.
It is advantageous if the bactericidal spectrum of the bactericide is broad and it has activity against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. For this reason it is often desirable to use two or more bactericidal compounds in order to ensure a wide range of activities. It is particularly useful to combine the halophenyl bactericides with long-chain quaternary ammonium compounds, since the latter also have a useful cleaning effect and help remove undesirable malodorous substances or skin particles from the surface.
A particularly useful combination is 2,2'-methylene-bis- (3,4,6-trichlorophenol) or bis-p-chlorophenol diguanidohexane with cetyltrimethylammonium bromide, preferably in approximately the same amounts or with an excess of quaternary compound.
The concentration of bactericidal substance in the preparation is expediently between 0.5 and 10.0% by weight, preferably between 0.1 and 2.0% by weight.
The preparation can expediently also contain a humectant, e.g. B. D-sorbitol or glycerin contain.
