Fig. 1 eine Ansicht der Vorrichtung von oben;
PATENTANSPRUCH 1
Verfahren zur maschinellen Herstellung von schalen
**WARNUNG** Ende DESC Feld konnte Anfang CLMS uberlappen**.
Method and device for the mechanical production of shell-shaped workpieces, in particular of curved container bottoms, by applying synthetic resin or a mixture of synthetic resin and fibers to a molded body
Containers or tanks for storing liquid fuels are mostly made of steel.
Such steel containers or tanks, however, are exposed to corrosion despite all protective measures. -The leakage of steel containers and tanks leads to dangerous leakage of the content and the associated dangers, such as B. the generation of explosions or the pollution of water.
In contrast to steel containers, plastic containers are not subject to corrosion. Up to now, they are mainly used in the chemical industry for the storage of corrosive liquids and in the food and beverage industry for the storage of milk, fruit and fruit juices, vinegar and other liquids.
Lately, plastic containers, consisting of two approximately hemispherical shells, have also been used for small sewage treatment plants that are located underground. However, plastic containers are rarely found for storing liquid fuels and propellants. This is mainly due to the fact that plastic containers are still relatively expensive, because such plastic containers are still almost exclusively manufactured using manual methods, which requires a relatively high expenditure of time and materials and experienced specialists.
In the case of the containers produced by spraying plastic and glass fibers with hand-held spray guns, considerable differences in wall thickness can easily occur. During the spraying process it is impossible to check the wall thickness and after hardening this can only be done with expensive tools.
Although it has recently been possible to machine pipes with large diameters, e.g. the production of curved bottoms for containers and hemispherical container parts for small sewage treatment plants is still done by hand by spraying synthetic resin and glass fibers onto a mold whose shape corresponds to the desired workpiece. With this manufacturing method, great care must be taken to avoid thin spots. In general, this leads to the fact that the container bottoms are made too thick, so that the thinnest wall thickness always corresponds to the minimum permissible wall thickness. In spite of this, insufficient wall thicknesses cannot always be avoided, so that a check with expensive tools can in very few cases be dispensed with.
If subsequent wall thickness compensation is necessary, the area to be reworked must be sanded clean. There is then another application of spray laminate. After the application, it is necessary to wait again until the newly applied material has hardened before another test can be carried out. These are all time-consuming operations that have a very unpleasant effect on the normal production process because the bulky workpieces take up a lot of space for processing and curing.
Finally, it should also be mentioned that local thickening can occur during post-processing, which is very disadvantageous because it can give rise to undesirable stress distributions in the material.
The time and material expenditure for the production and control of such workpieces as well as for any rework is accordingly large and so expensive that up to now, for. B. plastic tanks for liquid fuels could not prevail, although the advantages of such fuel tanks are not limited to the higher corrosion resistance. Plastic tanks are also significantly lighter than corresponding steel tanks, which is particularly advantageous during transport and placement.
It is the object of the present invention to provide a method and a device for the machine production of shell-shaped workpieces, in particular of curved container bottoms, which does not have the disadvantages of the previous manual production methods.
The invention accordingly provides a method for the machine production of shell-shaped workpieces, in particular of curved container bottoms, by applying synthetic resin or a mixture of synthetic resin and fibers to a molded body whose curvature and diameter corresponds to the curvature and the diameter of the workpieces to be produced, The application is carried out by means of at least one application device, and is characterized in that the molded body is rotated relative to the application device and the application device, which is displaced from the periphery to the center and / or vice versa, applies an annular band of plastic to the molded body with each rotation applies and the speed is measured so that the relative speed between the molding and the application device remains the same,
regardless of the respective distance of the applicator from the axis of rotation of the shaped body, or that the speed at the periphery of the shaped body is measured so that there the relative speed between the shaped body and the applicator is greater than in the rest of the part.
According to this method, the application device can be displaced with respect to the shaped body on a path adapted to the curvature of the shaped body from the center of the shaped body to the periphery or from the periphery to the center after each revolution of the shaped body, so that an annular band of plastic overlaps the other is lined up. But it would also be conceivable, instead of one ring after the other, to apply the plastic band in a spiral shape. Each spiral turn then represents a ring in the sense of the method according to the invention.
Since the plastic tank is manufactured in such a way that the curved container bottoms are laminated to the container body consisting of a plastic tube, it is expedient to make container bottoms somewhat thinner on the periphery than elsewhere. This is achieved in that the speed at the periphery is dimensioned such that the relative speed between the molded body and the application device is greater there than in the rest of the part. There is then a correspondingly thinner coating of the shaped body; So there is a thinner wall thickness at the periphery of the container bottom.
The invention also relates to a device for carrying out the method, which is characterized by a rotating device for receiving and rotating the molded body while applying synthetic resin and / or synthetic resin and fibers, a drive device for driving the rotating device at different speeds, an application device for Application of synthetic resin and / or synthetic resin with fibers on the molded body, a carriage which can be moved radially to the molded body on a guide for placing the application device for producing the annular bands of synthetic resin and / or synthetic resin laminate on the molded body, a drive device for the carriage, and a Control device designed in such a way
that it controls the drive device for the carriage and thus the carriage position depending on the number of revolutions of the rotating device and the speed of the drive device for the rotating device depending on the carriage position.
An embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the drawing.
Show it:
1 shows a view of the device from above;
FIG. 2 shows a side view of the device in the direction of the arrow in FIG. 1,
3 shows a section through the slide guide and the control rail along the line III-III in FIGS
4 shows a partial view of the slide guide and the control rail from above.
The device shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 for the machine production of shell-shaped workpieces by applying synthetic resin or a mixture of synthetic resin and fibers consists essentially of a rotating device 3 for the molded body 4 and one by means of a slide 8 on two guides 5 and 6 Injection device 7 displaceable radially with respect to the molded body 4.
The rotating device 3 is mounted on a stand 10 and has a drive motor 11 with a reduction gear 12. Control means, not shown, are expediently provided there, which emit a control pulse with each completed rotation of the rotary device 3. The drive motor 11 can advantageously be regulated over a wide speed range. The rotating device 3 has several arms 13 and is designed in such a way that it centers and clamps the molded bodies 4, which can be supplied, for example, by means of a loading device according to patent specification No. 523 761 (7504/70). For centering, noses 14 are provided on the arms 13 of the rotating device 3, which have an inclined plane 15 inclined towards the outside.
Furthermore, angle levers 16 can be provided at the outer ends of the arms 13, which are normally held by a spring (not shown) in a position such that the upper arm 16a is directed approximately vertically upwards. When the weight of the molded body 4 now latches on the other arm of the angle lever, the upper arm 16a is pressed into the position shown and holds the molded body 4 firmly.
The molded body 4, which is shown in dash-dotted lines in the drawing, consists essentially of a bowl-shaped mold 4a and an attachment 2 formed at the bottom of this mold 4a. This forms a support surface 2a, which is arranged on the respective molded body so that the distance from this support surface is always the same up to the apex of the shape regardless of the diameter of the shape. As will be described in more detail later, this, together with the special design of the holding means for the application device 7, enables workpieces of different diameters and heights to be produced on one and the same machine. The shaped body described is the subject of patent specification No. 523 756 (7505/70). However, it is not necessary to read this patent specification to understand the present invention.
The application device 7 is carried by two guides 5 and 6 which are connected to one another over their entire length by a web 6a (FIG. 3). The guides 5 and 6 are fastened at one end to a slide 20, while the other ends are mounted so as to be horizontally displaceable in a stand 21 which spans the molded body 4. By shifting the slide 20 horizontally, the path of the application device 7 can therefore be adapted to the diameter of the molded body 4, so that the distance of the application device 7 from the molded body remains approximately the same over the entire path even when using a larger or smaller molded body.
The slide 20 is guided by rods 22 which are fastened to the console 23, means, not shown, being provided to lock the slide 20 in the desired position.
The carriage 8 with the application device 7 runs with a pair of rollers 9 each (in Fig. 1 only one roller 9 of a pair is visible) on the guides 5 and 6 and can by means of an endless chain 31 attached to it and a sprocket 32 of the mounted on the stand 21 motor 33 can be moved to the desired working positions. A second chain wheel, which only serves as a deflection wheel, is attached to the carriage 20, which is not visible in the drawing. A channel 34, which is connected to the web 6a, is used to guide the lower part of the chain 31.
On the web 6a of the guides 5 and 6 there is attached an exchangeable control rail 40 which has a groove 41 which is used by means of a sensing device mounted on the carriage 8, e.g. a potentiometer to control the drive motor 11. By suitably designing the groove 41, this can be done in such a way that the relative speed between the shaped body 4 and the application device 7 always remains the same, regardless of their respective distance from the axis of rotation of the shaped body 4.
In order to determine the individual operating positions of the application device 7, ferromagnetic disks 42, for example, are provided on the control rail 40, which serve to actuate an electronic switch (not shown) provided on the carriage 8, which marks its end position when the carriage 8 is moved so the overlap of the sprayed-on spray laminate tape is limited.
In the exemplary embodiment shown, the application device 7 has two spray guns 51a and 51 of known design, such as are already used in the manual production of workpieces. With these spray guns mounted on the carriage 8, synthetic resin or synthetic resin and pieces of glass fiber are applied to the molded body 4 by means of compressed air.
The synthetic resin and accelerator containers and the pneumatic system for the spray guns are not visible in the drawing in the console 23.
In the drawing, the rowing coils 53, the accelerator dosing apparatus 54a and the detergent container 55 are arranged on the console 23. For the sake of clarity, the hoses for feeding the spray guns 51 and 51a and the control cables for the carriage 8 are not shown. The rowings from the rowing coils 53 are fed to the spray guns 51 via a pivot arm 54 rotatably attached to the stand 21, where they are then cut to size in a known manner during operation and blown against the molded body 4 with compressed air. The arrangement of the pivot arm 54 is similar to the arrangement of the pickup arm of a record player with respect to the molded body.
It should be noted that when using the described device with such a swivel arm 54, in contrast to the previous manual handling of the spray guns, no uneven forces occur on the rowings, so that these are always cut into pieces of practically exactly the same length by the cutting device of the spray gun and thus the ratio of synthetic resin to fiberglass filling is not changed, as often happens with the manual operation of spray guns and so far often caused considerable difficulties in the production of workpieces.
Rollers can also be attached to the carriage 8 which, after the spray laminate has been applied, press it firmly against the molded body in order to achieve the necessary ventilation of the sprayed laminate.
The device for the machine production of shell-shaped workpieces works as follows: The device is charged with a molded body 4. When the shaped body 4 is lowered, the stop surface 2a presses on each arm of the angle lever 16, so that the other arm
16a, the molded body 4 is clamped and centered on the rotating device 13. The carriage 20 is then adjusted, if necessary, so that the distance from the guides 5 and 6 to the molded body 4 is approximately the same everywhere.
After this preparatory work, the device is ready for the production of a specific workpiece of a specific diameter and specific height when the appropriate control rail 40 for the workpiece in question is also located in the device.
During start-up, which can take place semi-automatically or automatically by a suitable control system, the drive motor 11 is actuated and the molded body 4 begins to rotate. At the same time, the spray guns 51 and 51a are put into operation. The gun 51 injects resin, and the gun 51a injects resin and fiberglass. For about one to two seconds, this takes place underneath the molding and only serves to remove the remaining detergent from the nozzles of the guns. A replaceable tub (not shown) is expediently provided to accommodate the sprayed material.
After this short start-up time, the motor 33, controlled by suitable control means, moves the carriage 8 into the first working position, which e.g. is determined by a limit switch on the control rail 40, which actuates an electronic switch (not shown) on the carriage 8, which indicates that the first working position has been reached.
This corresponds to the position shown in FIG. 2, in which the carriage 8 now remains during one revolution of the molded body 4, so that the desired tape is applied. After the application of the first tape, i.e. after one revolution of the molded body 4, a control pulse indicating the completion of one revolution causes the motor 33 to be actuated again until the carriage 8 reaches the second station, which in turn is indicated by a ferromagnetic disk 42 .
The second band is now applied with a corresponding overlap with the first band. This is repeated until one band has been lined up with the other up to the center of the molded body 4.
The speed of the drive motor 11 is controlled by the sensing device actuated by the groove 41 of the control rail 40 so that the relative speed between the molded body 4 and the spray device 7 always remains approximately the same, so that a uniform coating is achieved. But it is also possible to create the groove 41 so that the relative speed e.g. is somewhat larger at the periphery than elsewhere, so that a correspondingly thinner coating of the molded body is achieved there, that is to say a thinner wall thickness is achieved. This is desirable for container bottoms, since there they are later laminated together with the cylindrical part of the container.
After this operation from bottom to top, there is a corresponding movement from top to bottom, but only the pistol 51a, which applies synthetic resin and glass fibers, is still working. After the end of the last belt, the carriage 8 returns to its original position. However, it would also be possible to repeat the operations described again to achieve an even greater layer thickness.
After reaching the lowest position, the guns are rinsed with a cleaning agent. The drive motor 11 switches off, and the molded body 4 with the workpiece can be lifted to make a new space, whereupon the production of another workpiece can be started immediately.
The shaped body with the workpiece can now be heated outside the described device for curing the workpiece, as is described in patent specification No. 523 761. In contrast to known plastics processing machines, the production speed is not dependent on the curing time, since the molded body does not remain in the device until the workpiece has cured.
