Abstract

Liquid lip-stick composn. which can be applied with a fine brush, leaves no smudge, is non-toxic, causes no allergies, and can be stored indefinitely, contains water as vehicle, and a mixt. of one or more water-soluble polymers, pigments in suspension and a polymer acting as stabiliser, and pref. also a plasticiser, a perfume and adjuvants imparting glossy or matt appearance, and solvents to accelerate drying. Suitable composn. contains 250 g butadiene/styrene copolymer, 750 g H2O, 200 g pigments, 30 g carboxymethylcellulose and 10 g carboxypolymethylene. Colouring matter is added at end of prepn. and mixed with composn. at 3000 r.p.m.

  Composition liquide utilisable comme rouge à lèvres
 La présente invention concerne une composition liquide utilisable comme rouge à lèvres et ayant comme véhicule de l'eau.



   Jusqu'à présent les rouges à lèvres liquides étaient constitués par des solvants polaires ou autres   contenant    un colorant soluble. Ces rouges à lèvres liquides ont le désavantage de laisser des traces colorées au contact de la peau d'autrui, du verre,   d'une    cigarette, serviette, etc., et de laisser également des traces après enlèvement de la couche colorée.



   On a trouvé une composition liquide utilisable comme rouge à lèvres et ayant comme véhicule de l'eau, qui non seulement n'a pas ces désavantages cités des rouges à lèvres liquides connus, mais encore présente des caractéristiques très avantageuses en comparaison avec le rouge à lèvres liquide.



   Ces résultats sont obtenus par une composition constituée par un mélange étudié de polymères solubles dans l'eau et devenant en règle générale insolubles dans l'eau et imperméables après séchage, et d'un polymère comme stabilisant, qui forment en commun, après évaporation de l'eau véhiculaire, un film plastique et élastique recouvrant les lèvres et adhérant à la muqueuse. La composition contient également un ou plusieurs pigments, conférant à la composition la teinte désirée.



   Ladite composition liquide utilisable comme rouge à lèvres est donc caractérisée en ce qu'elle contient dans l'eau, comme véhicule, un mélange d'un ou plusieurs polymères solubles dans l'eau, des pigments en suspension et un polymère servant comme stabilisant.



   Cette composition se présente sous la forme d'un liquide de viscosité moyenne, et laisse sur les   lèvres,    après séchage, un film coloré imperméable contenant des pigments identiques à ceux des rouges gras.



   Cette composition liquide peut être préparée de telle façon que l'on mélange des polymères solubles dans l'eau et de préférence devenant insolubles dans l'eau et imperméables après séchage, et un polymère comme stabilisant. On ajoute finalement des pigments. Après évaporation de l'eau véhiculaire il se forme un film plastique et élastique recouvrant les lèvres et adhérant à la muqueuse.



   Comme dit plus haut, cette composition selon l'invention présente des caractéristiques plus avantageuses, en comparaison avec le rouge à lèvres liquide ayant comme véhicule des solvants. En utilisant la composition selon l'invention on constate l'absence totale de traces colorées au contact de la peau d'autrui, du verre, d'une cigarette, serviette, etc., une imperméabilité du film à l'eau douce ou salée, une adhérence parfaite sur les lèvres et une plasticité évitant tout retrait au cours du séchage, ou craquelures au cours de la mastication. Le film une fois formé est complètement infusible, ne    grimpe     jamais (ne forme pas de stries ascendantes), même par les plus fortes chaleurs.

  Le film pelliculable peut être enlevé par simple frottement et après enlèvement du film, il ne reste pas de traces, c'est-à-dire la composition ne teint pas la lèvre et celle-ci supporte un remaquillage (re-make-up) par une couche de rouge, sans nettoyage de la couche précédente.



   Le temps de séchage de la composition sur la lèvre est rapide (une à trois minutes) et peut être accéléré par l'adjonction d'un pourcentage facultatif de solvants.



   Le film a un goût et parfum agréables sur les lèvres.



   La composition inclut également la possibilité avantageuse, pour l'usager, de mélanger les tons à volonté, la possibilité de créer des rouges de toutes nuances, même nouvelles, incompatibles avec les rouges gras et la possibilité d'application au pinceau très précise, en dessinant avec la plus grande exactitude le contour de lèvre que désire   1 usager.   

 

   Le film présente évidemment une innocuité totale car il ne contient aucun produit toxique et ne provoque aucune allergie; et la composition est caractérisée par  une stabilité parfaite, tant au point de vue chimique qu'à celui de la suspension des pigments et peut être conservée indéfiniment.



   Le produit fini se présente sous la forme d'un liquide de viscosité moyenne et peut être composé selon plusieurs types de formules, dont un exemple est donné cidessous:
 Polymère butadiène/styrène 250 g
 H2O 750 g
 Pigments 200 g
 Carboxyméthyl-cellulose 30 g
 Carboxypolyméthylène 10 g
 Plusieurs polymères peuvent être utilisés, soit solubles, soit en émulsion. La matière colorante est introduite dans le mélange à la fin du processus de prépara   tion    de la composition et mélangée au mixeur tournant à 3000 tours/minute. 



  
 



  Liquid composition usable as lipstick

   Until now, liquid lipsticks have consisted of polar or other solvents containing a soluble dye. These liquid lipsticks have the disadvantage of leaving colored traces on contact with the skin of others, glass, a cigarette, towel, etc., and also leaving traces after removal of the colored layer.



   We have found a liquid composition which can be used as a lipstick and which has water as a vehicle, which not only does not have these disadvantages mentioned of the known liquid lipsticks, but also has very advantageous characteristics in comparison with the lipstick. liquid lips.



   These results are obtained by a composition consisting of a studied mixture of polymers soluble in water and generally becoming insoluble in water and impermeable after drying, and of a polymer as stabilizer, which together form, after evaporation of vehicular water, a plastic and elastic film covering the lips and adhering to the mucous membrane. The composition also contains one or more pigments, giving the composition the desired shade.



   Said liquid composition which can be used as a lipstick is therefore characterized in that it contains in water, as vehicle, a mixture of one or more water-soluble polymers, pigments in suspension and a polymer serving as stabilizer.



   This composition is in the form of a liquid of medium viscosity, and leaves on the lips, after drying, an impermeable colored film containing pigments identical to those of fatty reds.



   This liquid composition can be prepared in such a way that one mixes polymers soluble in water and preferably becoming water insoluble and impermeable after drying, and a polymer as stabilizer. Pigments are finally added. After evaporation of the vehicular water, a plastic and elastic film forms covering the lips and adhering to the mucous membrane.



   As stated above, this composition according to the invention exhibits more advantageous characteristics, in comparison with liquid lipstick having solvents as vehicle. Using the composition according to the invention, the total absence of colored traces is observed on contact with the skin of others, glass, a cigarette, towel, etc., impermeability of the film to fresh or salt water. , perfect adhesion to the lips and plasticity preventing any shrinkage during drying, or cracks during chewing. The film once formed is completely infusible, never climbs (does not form ascending streaks), even in the strongest heat.

  The peelable film can be removed by simple rubbing and after removal of the film, no traces remain, that is to say the composition does not color the lip and the latter supports a make-up (re-make-up) by a layer of red, without cleaning the previous layer.



   The drying time of the composition on the lip is rapid (one to three minutes) and can be accelerated by the addition of an optional percentage of solvents.



   The film has a pleasant taste and fragrance on the lips.



   The composition also includes the advantageous possibility for the user to mix the tones at will, the possibility of creating reds of all shades, even new ones, incompatible with bold reds and the possibility of very precise brush application, in drawing with the greatest accuracy the lip contour desired by the user.

 

   The film is obviously completely harmless because it does not contain any toxic product and does not cause any allergies; and the composition is characterized by perfect stability, both from a chemical point of view and from a pigment suspension point of view, and can be stored indefinitely.



   The finished product is in the form of a liquid of medium viscosity and can be composed according to several types of formulas, an example of which is given below:
 Butadiene / styrene polymer 250 g
