La présente invention concerne une pince destinée à revoir et retenir un outil en position verticale suspendue.
Le but de l'invention est de fournir un dispositif permettant de faire prendre à un outil de travail, pendant qu'il n'est pas utilisé, une position verticale qui est la meilleure pour une longue conservation de celui-ci, tout en n'exigeant qu'une manoeuvre de la plus grande simplicité de la part de l'opérateur.
Par exemple, dans le cas où cet outil est un pinceau à barbe il est avantageux de le conserver dans une position telle que les soies mouillées se trouvent en position inférieure par rapport au manche.
En une telle position, l'eau, du fait de la force de gravité, se rassemble vers l'extrémité des soies, là où il est évident qu'elle peut le plus facilement être sujette à l'évaporation.
Une telle position, en comparaison avec la position prise par le pinceau à barbe lorsqu'on l'appuie directement sur une surface plane, le manche en bas et les soies tournées vers le haut (l'endroit où les soies se rattachent au manche restant ainsi toujours humide et étant pour cela sujet à se pourrir rapidement), garantit une meilleure conservation et par conséquence une plus longue durée du pinceau.
En outre, l'attache des soies étant sèche, pendant le savonnage, l'eau aura une moindre tendance à couler sur le manche et sur la main de l'opérateur.
Conformément à l'invention, la pince destinée à recevoir et retenir un outil en position verticale suspendue, est caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend des mâchoires à réaction élastique, agencées pour permettre une insertion par pression du manche de l'outil dans ces mâchoires de la pince.
Le dessin annexé représente à titre d'exemple une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'invention.
Dans ce dessin: la fig. 1 représente la pince fixée à un support constitué d'un bras courbé de façon que, une fois monté sur une surface horizontale (dans le cas cité en exemple, sur un lavabo chez un coiffeur), un pinceau inséré dans la pince puisse assumer une position de suspension verticale,
la fig. 2 représente la pince avec une de ses mâchoires démontée, un capuchon de protection que la pince comporte étant également démonté, et
la fig. 3 montre ledit capuchon enlevé.
En se référant aux figures on voit que la pince est constituée d'un corps cylindrique 1 dans lequel, selon un plan diamétral, est pratiquée une fente 2 qui doit loger l'extrémité arrière du couple de mâchoires 3.
Ce corps a deux trous traversants 4, ayant des axes orthogonaux au plan de la fente 2, et dans lesquels sont introduits des pivots 5 pour le mouvement angulaire des mâchoires 3.
Ce mouvement est limité, dans le sens de la fermeture, par le secteur 6 rapporté dans la partie médiane de la fente 2.
La position de la fermeture est assurée par le ressort à boudin 7 engagé à chacune de ses extrémités sur les mentonnets 8 portés par chacune des mâchoires 3, et monté à compression dans le corps 1.
Les pivots 5 coulant librement dans leurs sièges 4, sont tenus dans leur position de montage par un capuchon (visible fig. 3) dans lequel sont pratiquées des fentes 9 correspondant à la fente 2, pour laisser libre jeu aux mâchoires 3.
Le fonctionnement de la pince est simple: le pinceau, porté en face des mâchoires en position orthogonale au plan de celle-ci, est poussé de façon à provoquer l'écartement des mâchoires et il y est inséré.
La réaction du ressort antagoniste, dont la compression de montage est encore augmentée par le mouvement d'approche des extrémités intérieures des mâchoires, maintient le pinceau suspendu, une fois que la main de l'opérateur l'a abandonné.
On pourrait apporter à la pince représentée au dessin, des modifications de forme ou de structure sans pourtant sortir du cadre de la conception décrite.

Referring to the figures, it can be seen that the clamp consists of a cylindrical body 1 in which, along a diametral plane, a slot 2 is made which must accommodate the rear end of the pair of jaws 3.
This body has two through holes 4, having axes orthogonal to the plane of the slot 2, and in which are introduced pivots 5 for the angular movement of the jaws 3.
This movement is limited, in the closing direction, by the sector 6 attached in the middle part of the slot 2.
The position of the closure is ensured by the coil spring 7 engaged at each of its ends on the chins 8 carried by each of the jaws 3, and mounted in compression in the body 1.
The pivots 5 flowing freely in their seats 4 are held in their mounting position by a cap (visible in fig. 3) in which slots 9 are made corresponding to the slot 2, to leave free play for the jaws 3.
The operation of the clamp is simple: the brush, carried in front of the jaws in a position orthogonal to the plane thereof, is pushed so as to cause the jaws to separate and is inserted therein.
The reaction of the counter spring, the mounting compression of which is further increased by the approaching movement of the inner ends of the jaws, keeps the brush suspended, once the operator's hand has released it.
Changes in shape or structure could be made to the clamp shown in the drawing without, however, departing from the scope of the design described.
