The mixture was kept at this temperature for 3-4 minutes, about 10 parts by volume of liquid being allowed to distill off. After cooling to room temperature, 50 parts by volume of ethyl acetate were added and the reaction mixture was then stirred for a further 10 hours at room temperature. The precipitate formed was filtered off with suction, washed with ethyl acetate and dried at 600 ° C. in vacuo. 76 T of 2 (1'-phenylbenzimidazolyl- (2 ")) -5 (2 ', 4'-dichlorophenyl) -furan (melting point 1621640 C, from alcohol-toluene) were obtained. 8 T of this were obtained in 50 parts by volume of chlorobenzene Dissolved 55 C and added dropwise with 4 parts by volume of dimethyl sulfate.
The mixture was stirred for a further 45 minutes at 60 ° C. and then cooled. The crystalline precipitate formed was filtered off, washed with ethyl acetate and dried at 600 ° C. in vacuo. There were 10.6 T of 5 (2 ', 4'-dichlorophenyl) -furan-2- (3'-methyl-1 1' -phenyl-benzimidazolium (2 ')) methosulfate (melting point: 206-2080 C from water ) receive.
Example 5 5 (2 ', 4'-dichlorophenyl) -furan-2 (3'-methyl-1' - (4 "-methylphenyl) -benzimidazolium- (2 ')) methosulfate (melting point: 198-2000 C) manufactured in the following way:
24 T 5 (2l, 4'-dichlorophenyl) -furan-2-aldehyde (melting point: 162-1640C) and 20 T 4'-methyl 2-aminodiphenylamine were refluxed for 20 minutes in 170 parts by volume of tetrahydrofuran. Then 50 parts by volume of nitrobenzene were added. The tetrahydrofuran was then distilled off and the temperature of the remaining solution was raised to the boiling point of the nitrobenzene. The mixture was kept at this temperature for 4 minutes, about 3 parts by volume being allowed to distill off.
After cooling to room temperature, 30 volumes of benzene were added and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 5 hours. The precipitate formed was filtered off with suction, washed with benzene and then recrystallized from hot toluene. 17 T 2 (1 '- (4 "-methylphenyl) -benzimidazolyl (2')) -5 (2 ', 4'-dichlorophenyl) -furan with a melting point of 194-1950 ° C. 10 T of this compound were obtained in 50 parts by volume 4.5 parts by volume of dimethyl sulfate were added to chlorobenzene at 550 ° C. while stirring, the mixture was stirred for 2 hours at 600 ° C. and then cooled. The crystalline precipitate formed was filtered off, washed with ethyl acetate and dried in vacuo at 80 ° C. Yield: 11.5 parts.
Example 6 5 (2 ', 4'-dichlorophenyl) -furan-2 (3'-methyl-1' (4 "-chlorophenyl) -benzimidazolium- (2 ')) methosulfate (melting point: 183-1850C) was thereby prepared that the 2 (1 '- (4 "-chlorophenyl) -benzimidazolyl (2')) -5 (2 ', 4'-dichlorophenyi) -furan (melting point: 2162180 C), which consists of 5 (2', 4 ' -Di chlorophenyl) -furan-2-aldehyde and 4'-chloro-2-amino idphenylamine was obtained, was quaternized with dimethyl sulfate in chlorobenzene at 600 C.
Example 7
5 (2 ', 4-dichloropheyl) -furan-2 (3'-methyl-1'-phenyl (5'-chlorobenzimidazolium) - (2' -)) methosulfate (melting point: 247-2490C) was thereby produced that the 2 (1'-phenyl- (5'-chlorobenzimidazolyl) (2 ')) -5 (2', 4'-dichlorophenyl) -furan (melting point: 183-1850C), which consists of 5 (2 ', 4' Dichlorophenyl) furan-2-aldehyde and 4-chloro-2-aminodiphenylamine was obtained, quaternized with dimethyl sulfate in chlorobenzene at 60 ° C.
Example 8
5 (2 ', 4'-dichlorophenyl) -furan-2 (3'-n-butyl1' -phenylbenzimidazolium- (2 ')) -bromide (melting point: 270-2720C), was prepared in the following manner: 30T 2 (1 '-Phenyl-benzimidazolyl (2')) -5 (2 ', 4'-dichlorophenyl) -furan, the preparation of which is given in Example 4, were mixed with 12T n-butyl bromide in 80 parts by volume of chlorobenzene for 8 hours in a closed vessel at 1800.degree heated and then cooled. The crystalline precipitate formed was filtered off with suction, washed with ethyl acetate and dried at 600 ° C. in vacuo. Yield: 18 tons
