Les tétines pour enfants, du genre de celles percées lors de la fabrication, présentent généralement sur la partie centrale de leur tétin un trou dont la forme et la section varient suivant les fabricants.
Ces tétines présentent à l'usage, quel que soit leur type, divers inconvénients et notamment celui de faire jaillir, lors de la succion, le liquide directement dans la gorge de l'enfant, ce qui provoque le plus souvent un début d'étranglement généralement suivi d'un rejet du liquide.
Pour remédier, dans une certaine mesure, à cet inconvénient, la maman ou la nourrice est appelée à utiliser la méthode consistant à retirer fréquemment la tétine de la bouche de l'enfant pour éviter un excès de liquide alimentaire.
Or, ces interruptions momentanées ont pour effet d'amener inévitablement un refroidissement du lait ou autre obligeant ainsi à réchauffer le biberon afin de rétablir la température convenable.
La présente invention a pour objet une tétine pour enfant dont le but est de remédier à ces inconvénients; elle est caractérisée en ce que le tétin est percé latéralement à distance de sa zone centrale.
Selon un exemple de réalisation, le tétin de la tétine est percé de deux trous latéraux dont les axes sont contenus dans un plan médian de la tétine et forment, entre eux, un angle d'environ 800 de manière à déterminer, lors de la succion, des jets divergents aboutissant sur les muqueuses des joues du nourrisson et non plus directement au fond de la cavité buccale.
Le dessin annexé représente à titre d'exemple une forme d'exécution de la tétine, objet de l'invention.

En se reportant au dessin, I est l'embase ou collerette de la tétine et 2 le corps ogival de celle-ci se prolongeant normalement par un embout 3 tronconique terminé par un tétin 4 de forme sphéroïdale par exemple.
L'extrémité arrondie du tétin 4 est percée à une certaine distance de sa zone centrale de deux trous 5 latéraux dont les axes sont contenus dans un plan médian de la tétine et forment entre eux un angle A d'environ 800.
Dans une telle disposition, quel que soit le nombre de trous pratiqués dans le tétin, les jets de liquide aspiré par lesdits trous sont projetés dans la bouche du nourrisson avec une divergence telle qu'elle s'oppose, dans tous les cas, à la pénétration directe dudit liquide dans la gorge du nourrisson.
